    ABOUT ME
    Hi I'm Loui! I am an adventurer at heart who loves to share every step of the way. My travels so far ,via camper van, jeep camper, and foot, have taken me all over North America. I started this channel in 2019 in hopes of inspiring other people like me who didn't exactly grow up living an adventurous lifestyle and who might be afraid to get started on their own adventures. Since then, it has turned into my full time job and something that I very passionate about. So, stick around to see the journey unfold!

    Thank you for taking us along on this adventure. My goal since I became paralyzed, has been to make it to Tuktoyaktuk. Since I see the troubles that you had, I know my wheelchair van will not make it at this time. So I thank you for taking me on the journey I’ve wanted to go on for a few years. This is the best video I’ve seen this year on RUclips. And as always, you are an excellent narrator. Please be safe in your travels.

      I was in Tuktoyuktuk in June (this year, 2024) on the 18th. Met a family there that went up in a Ford van, Ford Focus & a Toyota car
      They made it there & back with little issues.
      Time of year is very important when planning the trip combined with weather patterns
      I lucked out with no issues, others behind me had to deal with rain, snow & fire (and the ferry not running)

    • @NaeKid
      @NaeKid Месяц назад +1

      @@WheelchairCharlie
      I put an "old" set of 33" mud terrain tires on my Jeep and just about burned all the tread off. No flats encountered.
      My recommendation is to run the smallest rims possible with the tallest tire you can fit on your van. Make sure you have multiple anchor points on your van in case of trouble & have a backup plan (a friend with another vehicle) that can do the trip with you
      Take a thousand pictures and it will still not be enough

      @@NaeKid thank you for the info. We are good at taking pictures. That’s for sure we have over 153,000 uploaded to Amazon. My son and I have done the trip to Alaska before in 2017. We are at least going to do that if we don’t go to Tuktoyaktuk.

    Welcome to the Land of the Midnight Sun, I lived in Inuvik from 94-2000. You gotta love that drive on the Dempster hwy, but at least its complete from Inuvik to Tuktoyuktuk now. In my time during the winter you drove the ice roads on the frozen McKenzie River to the Beaufort Sea, hanged a right on to the Arctic Ocean and continued to Tuk. I really hope you enjoyed yourself, it's beautiful part of our country. I always tell my fellow Canadians you haven't seen Canada until you've been to our Arctic. A little trivia for you, Metallica actually played Tuktoyuktuk in 94(google it), it was a great show...all the best in your adventures and thank you for showing a beautiful part of our country that people onky see on National Geographic Society. Safe travels and welcome to the Arctic that has a few flying insects...lol...check out Yellowknife NWT some time....cheers ✌️
