I think jurors should always remain anonymous. People in general, particularly far right individuals, have become more and more unconstrained, specially since trump bacame presidential candidate in 2015. Now there is zero reliability, protection for all involved who might turn into trump’s targets, is crucial.

It's literally Merrick Garland & Biden blocking trump from being arrested. If trump was in Office, Biden would already be in PRISON.
Unfortunately, the Justice Department can't determine which judge takes the case... Justice Dept. is part of the Executive Branch, and judges are part of the Judicial Branch.
We have three separate independent branches of government... the Legislative branch which makes laws, the Executive branch which enforces the laws, and the Judicial branch that interprets and administers the laws.
Legislative: draw up the blueprints
Executive: carry out the plans (day to day operations)
Judicial: like inspectors who make sure the structure, operations, and plans are up to code
Trump is definitely above your law with the assistance and courtesy of your judiciary system. Trump will never be convicted. Justice Cannon, some Scotus Trump appointees are doing everything in their power to delay, delay, and delay the court cases to go to trial.

It's an inflection point with Judge Cannon. The American people are paying for law and order and the justice it represents. Judge Cannon has undermined the public's confidence in the Judiciary. The Judicial systems have failed us repeatedly, but Cannon takes the cake.

'Something is rotten in the state of Denmark' - When somebody asked Ol' Billy Barr which case should be pursued first, he said the documents case cuz it was so straightforward and clear cut - a pure case of obstruction. The classified stuff is a red herring. Ergo, one has to ask how this judge - unqualified and wet behind the ears - managed to delay the case for 10 months and it seems to have been put off indefinitely. As clumsey as all this appears, it feels like somebody with a lot of experience designed these delays to look amateurish for her.
Blame the DOJ who faked photos of documents and"leaked" them to the media to mislead the public, DOJ lied, doctored and misrepresented evidence submitted to the court to mislead the Judge, and DOJ misplaced and mishandled classified and secret documents. Indefinitely postponed would be letting the DOJ off easy. The entire case could to be dismissed on these grounds.

The voter doesn't get to decide who sits in the federal judiciary, or whether the need to be removed. As a result the voter is *not* the ultimate check and balance. Especially when the Electoral College can come in and decide *against* the voters, and when each state has a different method of assigning Electoral College votes.

Federal judges must be made accountable to voters by insisting that they must be elected after initial period of 4 to 6 years of their appointment by all population od the country. Otherwise we will have continued tyranny of minority ruling.

Almost four years have elapsed, and they chose to bring these cases in, almost at the last moment. No room for error. What did they expect, that the defense would just sit down and watch? I feel sorry for the millions of Americans who toil every day and do the right thing being slowly walked (maybe) into a dictatorship by the very people who are supposed to have their backs.
The problem I see with Eugene Robinson's statement that "we" have to bail us out by voting is that the supreme court seems more than willing to override the will of the people if it benefits the traitor who would be king. I normally agree with Robinson, but in this case he's being too kind to a system that's designed to favour the bad guys.
