Rhodes is built upon layers of civilizations - Italian, Greek, and Turkish, with a dash of medieval Crusader lore from all over Europe tossed in. Today, luxury yachts crowd the harbor. Visit www.ricksteves.com for more information about this destination and other destinations in Europe.

How beautifully presented by Rick sir.
Very interesting.. I love the detail of the architecture & the street of little shops. You are so fortunate to be able to see the wonders of the world really. Thank you for what you do for those of us who will never get to see these places.
Thank you for the great tour!
Very beautiful.
Gon’ take my horse to the old town Rhodes...
I want to go Greece brother
Actually I think Rhodos was a bastion of the Crusaders on their retreat from The Holy Land. Been several times, it's very impressive. Rick always does a fine video.
They have they’re own unique wine, rodidas- sort of rose.
Every region in Greece has special wines and I love it. This has to do with the hundreds of grape varieties which are some of the most in the world as wine-making has been part of Greece by archaeological evidences at least 6500 years. And since Greece has 80% mountains, many types of soils, there are also many micro climates, being the perfect situation for many unique and incredible flavors.
Ptolemy336VV ..but selling the export rights and through one main company “boutari” has destroyed their wine industry. Greece has some of the best wines, but has lost its market.
Amazing videos.. amazing man greetings from Pakistan

Brilliant Rhodes travel video 🇸🇪 🇬🇷
in Rhodes and lindos in 1962. Thought it close to paradise. We were virtually alone in lindos. A fisherman on the beach cooked fish for us. Now I see the beach crammed with tents and overrun with tourists. Would not want to go now. Rich Athan.
Its not your backyard. They wouldn't want you back.
Nice video Rick once again
Thanks this is great stuff!
Not sure which Greek islands to visit? This is one of the best.
Conheci nas férias de 2008. Amei, achei tudo muito lindo. Quero voltar um dia.
Parabéns pelo vídeo, Saudações do Brasil.

Hello doktah
That “earthquake” that destroyed the colossus of Rhodes was Kratos
2.52. I don’t think they’re cannon balls they were flung from trebuchet instead.
Hi Rick!
I am Indonesian, and an English learners. Many foreign tourists visit Indonesia every year. I want to talk with them when I meet one, as a way to improve my English speaking skills.
My question, what do you think the topic that is good to talk about? (A topic that the tourists want, like, or are interested to talk, or you mention it the criteria ...)
Maybe you can show them where to get some tasty nasi padang.
I want this job as well . Where do I need to apply ? How is it financed ?
Me encantariA que tus videos tuvieran traducción en Spanish. SUBTITULES.
O aprendes ingles, sabes
You don't see Turks trolling videos about Greece, because this is our upbringing. We were not taught to hate Greece, we were just told to be careful about Greece.
Ελλαδα Ελληνικη και κοσμος ΑΩ
This is a history lesson NOT a travel guide
Shitole
Did you went to Rhodes, just to talk about Turkey? There are allover Europe bazaars like that in old town of Rhodes. There's a lot to see there and you 've seen nothing. I am so disappointed of you.
ottoman conquered Rhodes Islands
Yeah the Ottomans are famous for that. Not much else
Now it's liberate and Turks are crying about the borders of their heart
TURKISH CITY
No it isn't😂
Careful, it looks like you drooled on your keyboard and words came out.
Very funny dude that's why we Greeks live there for hundred of years even before the ottomans came out of nowhere.
