For Me PSVR2 ve Quest PCVR is not just about the lenses. im keen to try a device with a real display port, not needing to fu*k about with ODT and have compresion is what im keen to try on PSVR 2
Totally, I have never seen a non-compressed PCVR image, so that could be cool. In everyday life, I will be Questing my PCVR - the cable is simply to annoying and yesteryear, but I guess it can be tolerated in driving- and flying sims.

For me is the controllers, I havea quest And a PSvr2 And a beast of a PC that I built myself Into the radius, convergence and ghost of Tabor were the reasons why I’ve plugged in the quest to the PC but I have not been on a consistently as consistent as I know I would with the psvr2 & for me, it’s just because of the controllers, I really hope we get those trigger haptics down the line ASAP whether it’s official or through a mod that experience is unmatched
I can't wait to get my hands on the PC adapter next week. I picked up a second PSVR 2 just for my PC during the sale. First thing I'm going to try is Alyx, especially the part where you first get the flashlight. I want to see how dark it is on the PSVR 2 OLED panels vs my Index. I like the Idea of wireless VR on the Quest but its not quite there yet for me, even with a solid 6E dedicated router and AV1 encoding.

Already owning a Q3, I'm considering a PSVR2 kit for seated VR with my flight stick and steering wheel, thus the controllers and Bluetooth functionality won't be of much importance. The OLED is what's tempting me. Any thoughts or inputs?
I only use my quest for a handful of games. The rest I play with my reverb g2 and psvr2 due to the weight and comfort of the quest regardless of mods is pretty annoying once you have had long sessions in vr in a more comfortable hmd like the reverb or psvr2. Also never having to worry about charging the headset and other reasons too that i prefer to use something other than the quest if i have the option

I honestly can’t answer how good it is till August the 7th but with a game like Aces of Thunder using eye tracking and dynamic foveated rendering, PS5 & PSVR2 will be the way to go
Thanks for covering the VR news! Zero Caliber 2 is a very exciting title. I feel like connecting your PSVR2 controllers between PC and PS5 will be tedious if you jump between both platform. So I'll stick with the Ps5 for the PSVR at the moment. But it's great if you only have the one headset.
I've not long set up my psvr2 and I noticed the edges and background are not as clear as the middle and I automatically thought this was wrong then I watched a random vid on the settings and it was mentioned this is normal ? Is this accurate ? Thanks in advance 👍
I don’t understand what you said about Guardians of the Realms. Your mentioned your neighbors seeing you in your yard playing MR? How is that possible without sun damage to your headset?
My issue with Quest PCVR is jumping through all the hurdles of the quest itself, I’d rather just have Oculus make a modern PCVR headset than the weird system they have now (but Facebook wouldn’t make money from that)
Which issue are you having with your Quest? I just fire up Steam Link and it connects to my PC and I can start a game. Or are you just assuming there would be hurdles?
Still not even close to blacks you get on OLED. LCD will always be vastly inferior to OLED. The small sweetspot is only an issue when you put on the headset for the first few times until you get used to it it can take a while to get the right adjustment. Once you used the PSVR2 for a while you find the sweetspot in a matter of seconds. Also i have no issues keeping my eyes fixed and moving my head around
it really depends on people I guess, idc about my blacks if all the black I see is at same level and vr is covering my whole field of view so yeah my brain is pretty okay with grey blacks. But pancake lenses... I cant even see fresnel lenses as lenses after the using pancake lenses for last 8 months. There is no sweet spot anymore. Put your headset on and you dont even need to adjsut it to perfect spot. I can move my eyes and still can see all screen at same clarity. It'is a pretty enough reason to upgrade to quest 3.
@@CheckmateStallioN It's not just about the sweet spot with the pancake lens. It's about the entire FOV being clear compared to just the center with Fresnel lens. Sony made a huge mistake by not having pancake lens on the PSVR2. Not to mention the comfort due to the headset not needing to be as thick.
with the two people ive seen test the psvr2 on pc both having extreme controller tracking issues, im guessing a lot of normal people without highend gear will too. and there will be a lot of buying specific bt adapters to make them work a bit better

Zero calibre 2 is more fun with coop but I don't feel like the volume of enemies scale. Played 4 player and barely had anyone to kill. I get motion sickness in the ZC series which I don't get in any other game.
Even in the video reviews, there are enemy NPCs that just stand there and wait to get killed. The AI sucks and the graphics aren't much of an improvement from the last game which came out way back in 2018. I'm super disappointed with ZC2

Was very close to getting the PSVR2 to use for PC. But its been revealed that the Controller/head haptics, eye tracking and the foveated rendering were not added in the PC adapter. Which the only thing it dose better without them over Q3 on pc... is just the OLED screens. So even if Devs wanted to implement any of the features in their games for PC VR they couldn't, which is a shame as the likes of NMS runs so well because of the foveated rendering on PS5. Feel a bit hood winked by Sony for not making that more clear, but obviously its still a great deal if you own a ps5 & don't have a headset. And it almost got me too, where id be more incentivised to get the PS5 too for GT7 & RE, which I'm sure was their end goal with PC VR announcement & liquidation sale.

I don't think all vr games need to have fully vr interaction . There is room for another genre in vr heads sets. Imagine hallow knight , dead cells , cult of the lamb etc.. make there transition to a 3d space similar to witchblood . If those games transitions to the vr space and making a adaption similar to witchblood ? I think this will absolutely blow up the vr space and make a whole new genre all together. Another way to play with your headset. Would really like to know your take on this idea ? I did a meta case study couple of months back where they pay you 75 bucks for participating in the study and I mentioned this idea aswell . Lol. I have a PS5. I really should grab a PSVR2. My PC doesn't meet the require specs, but it will someday, and that would be nice to have - especially for the OLED panels. Alternatively, I could save that money for Pimax Crystal Super with OLED optics module, and *that* could be even more amazing. But the idea just plopping down on the couch and firing up the PS5 real quick is nice, too. I'm torn.
It's not unusual to see your friends in apps they have never played. If I play Forza Horizon 5, I'll see Zim, Mike and PD in races. Even though they are not on that particular platform. Friends lists often get imported cross platform. It is a sneaky way of trying to get you into the game, I have to admit.

Is it possible that some individual retailers have sold the PSVR2 at a discounted price in the EU, for example by ordering and reselling devices from the UK? Or if they just wanted to get rid of the stock. However if you look at all the PlayStation Direct websites (or localized Amazon pages), only the UK and US have discounts. Which is sad for those waiting for decent price cuts, I already have mine.
I have that tomb explorer game on my wishlist, but I won't even consider buying it as long as it's still in early access. Hopefully the jank will be gone by the time it releases fully. Honestly though I'm not a big fan of early access. Most games in it are low on content and low on polish and they tend to take ages before coming out of early access.
Hello cruel world had my interest for about 5 minutes as i read this in the game description on the store "Designed from the ground up to take advantage of VR's interactive capability" .. but then watched the trailer and seen the super lazy zero effort made with the grabbin mechanic, just making a fist next to the item being held. I think that part needs removing from the store page is it couldnt be more wrong 🙈🙈
I’ll look into the CPU as we both know the GPU is fine. Best thing to do is check the minimum specs for the PSVR2 steam software and look up benchmarks
It's still pre alpha but I'm still getting over talking to ai bots in Riff xr. The fact that a small team of devs can make that and Meta spends billions only to come up with horizon worlds is a joke. Meta should sign them up. Hopefully a ton of new players will discover it now it's on Quest.

Horizon worlds are more trash than I could have imagined. VR graphics from 2015, and the Sabrina Carpenter concert showed they have no damn idea how to use this digital space. It was basically a 180° video massively scaled up in size, broadcast on the side of a desert landscape. Part of the ground was transparent and showed some road far below the ground surface and looked super distorted. Standing on the edge of the cliff to watch the Sabrina "concert", it's just a giant video So you're basically staring at a giant Sabrina Carpenter and feel like you're about the size of a cat. On top of it all, they added in different camera shots So there would be sudden jarring changes to what you were looking at, total garbage. I bailed on it after like 3 songs
Billions went into it for 5 a 6 years of android vr and still only 200000 users. But facebook didn't earn on pcvr game sales but billions into this kids magnet horizon usa ehhh world. But 1.5 years (rift s)of quality pcvr was enough to pull the plug bahahaha. WHY IS FACEBOOK INTO VR? They need new kids into their marketing advertising datamining platform. That's all. The games are a facade!

The app name change has nothing to do with Horizon Worlds. They're changing the naming to match the Horizon OS that will be used on 3rd party headsets soon and those companies don't want Quest in the app name. For someone in the VR news. This was a pretty unnecessary miss for an attack on a social app no one is forced to use.

Its not worth it tbh. You lose out on all the psvr 2 feature except for the oled display.

I would guess it's not much different that using a PS5 controller for pc. Really easy to go back on forth with those
@@Justlivin00 You'd need to plug both controllers with a USB C to reconnect to ps5, then go in pairing mode again via Bluetooth to connect to PC.

That would be due to the use of fresnel lenses, which are orbital in shape compared to flat like the quest 3 pancake lenses.

The pancake lenses are a bigger advantage the OELD. Especially now with better blacks for Quest 3.

PSVR2 price reduction is sadly not in The Netherlands or Amazon DE (germany) (checked today August 6 2024)

Astro hunters vr is out on the 8th on steam and darksword on the 8th in psvr2 and compound on the 13th for psvr2.

Horizon worlds are more trash than I could have imagined. VR graphics from 2015, and the Sabrina Carpenter concert showed they have no damn idea how to use this digital space. It was basically a 180° video massively scaled up in size, broadcast on the side of a desert landscape. Part of the ground was transparent and showed some road far below the ground surface and looked super distorted. Standing on the edge of the cliff to watch the Sabrina "concert", it's just a giant video So you're basically staring at a giant Sabrina Carpenter and feel like you're about the size of a cat. On top of it all, they added in different camera shots So there would be sudden jarring changes to what you were looking at, total garbage. I bailed on it after like 3 songs
Billions went into it for 5 a 6 years of android vr and still only 200000 users. But facebook didn't earn on pcvr game sales but billions into this kids magnet horizon usa ehhh world. But 1.5 years (rift s)of quality pcvr was enough to pull the plug bahahaha. WHY IS FACEBOOK INTO VR? They need new kids into their marketing advertising datamining platform. That's all. The games are a facade!

Just a facebook 2 in vr. But for roblox kids and guess facebook comes with free games to get as many kids in it before the privacy laws in all countries go stronger. That's why it's not available in the whole world. They should have call it horizon usa bahahaha

The app name change has nothing to do with Horizon Worlds. They're changing the naming to match the Horizon OS that will be used on 3rd party headsets soon and those companies don't want Quest in the app name.
For someone in the VR news. This was a pretty unnecessary miss for an attack on a social app no one is forced to use.
I didn’t care or mention the name change. Only that it now all basically feels like an Horizon app first we access Meta Games on VS what it was. I never attacked the app either?
