Maven is my spirit animal.
Maven just has that Likability Stat maxed out. He definitely could be a host of a TV Show today . Glad his RUclips is taking off. The production value is A1
He's the best, over the moon for his success
I could see Maven doing infomercials and selling stuff
@@gator9339 he used to do them for the home shopping network, he was funny.
@terryindachat7296 I gotta see that lol. I want to see Maven selling kitty litter
@@cafederene watching this cause the Mavern channel got recommended to me (like he mentioned) hope your views have picked up a bit too since).
Maven is amazing. Wish I'd have appreciated him more during his WWE run.
It's homecoming everytime we have Maven stop back in. Always hilarious always makes me happy when I see he's on the show
the algorithm thing isn't that the truth, I completely forgot about maven hell even Rene people I watched ages 8-13 when I loved attitude era reruns and like 2002-2007 and one of mavens shorts popped up on my feed, now I'm watching him n this great podcast daily!
This was so much fun! Can't wait to see Maven again!
Heel Maven at New Year's Revolution 2005 was hilarious to me. Even if it's an unpopular opinion.
I smile every time I rewatch him talking Spanish to the fans.
Had to help my dad with something so only could catch a bit of this live but wow you and Maven both look so good. I've recently discovered this podcast. I'm 29 years old and was a fan of Rene and La Resistance as a kid as you are a fellow Canadian (I'm from Vancouver). Really nice to meet you James. I look forward to watching more of your guys stuff. Cheers.
Welcome to the cafe fellow vancouverite!
@@SMELLTHECHEEZ thank you!
You and Maven have great chemistry!
Also, this channel is nothing to sweat at… in two years - Almost 18k Subs and Over 6+ Million views… that’s pretty good, there’s not a whole lot of people doing that… and y’all are still growing by the day, you all will get there soon enough
This was a really good episode! Both of you are entertaining as hell! keep up the great work fellas
Finally catching up as I was traveling as this played live.
I'm glad you guys got Maven back. Great insights from this guy. Really glad that he has a RUclips presence now.
This episode went by way too fast. I could listen to y’all all day! Love the honesty and unique perspective you both bring!
Man proof that it was tv. this dude was actually a cool dude from what im watching.
Dude. How is this dude not some type of mouthpiece in a wrestling organization? Manager, announcer, something!
I always wonder he is a great speaker
He is in some small indie promotion
He said the WWE was going to hire him but then the pandemic happened
@@nboss968 Well it's never too late now right? The pandemic for the most part has passed.
By far my favorite guest next to Paul London
same
Great podcast!
I just subscribed!
Maven hasn't changed a bit.
Im actually interested in releasing a figure of him
Awesome, thank you!
1:14:11 Maven has a funny way with telling stories, haha. Rene was right, he'd be a great comedian.
Oh Sweet, Maven is the Man! And gives a really great interview, happy to see this dude still around doing good
Man was MAVEN overwhelmingly Hated in 2002 when he beat Underataker too many times, and when he Carried Ric Flair, (after falling asleep for 2 hours in his own match on RAW) to a 20 minute match, What a career!!!!!
Maven is the GOAT guest of the Cafe
So happy for Maven success
1:09:35 I'm close to this school, and it's funny because just this morning, I contacted someone who was a wrestler who trained at Gleason's Gym in the late 90s and he said between that school and Create A Pro, he'd choose Gleason's 'cause of guys like Big Cass and Devon Dudley. But Create A Pro's a lot closer to me (an 1hr away just walking) and man, Brian Myers made it himself and has got connections. MJF trained there so hey, I think I'd rather go to Create A Pro. Why waste money on the train and bus when you could just walk.
August 10, 2023.
Maven is probably the second most successful wwe tough enough winner after John Morrison.
Maven is my guy I'm a proud subscriber of his channel he's getting shit done
That's 😊 so maven
💯
Maven win tough enough 1
Maven wins the royal rumble
Maven was one of my favorites at the time!! And 3 of my favorite things he did was the stuff with Simon Dean... The stuff with Eugene and the match with Shelton Benjamin at New years revolution 2005 in Puerto Rico
Class episode can't wait to next time maven is on the cafe
sadly missed out on the live stream but this is amazing, Maven is hilarious
Thank you
This is no joke, I literally have been considering contacting Maven for years now to discuss the possibility of a RUclips video. I knew he could blow up. All of the videos he’s doing is exactly what I had in mind, and I come from a film production background.
The only difference is that I didn’t jump the gun, but I also don’t have an understanding of how the algorithms work. That’s pretty important haha! But the concept is all the same.
So happy someone did and made it all happen for Maven! I think he has spent the last almost twenty years undervaluing himself just because the WWE wasn’t smart enough to know how to market him. None of that was his fault! He was kinda let down to be truthful. Hopefully now he can see how much people actually love him.
Take care of yourself, Maven! Continue that road of sobriety, stay away from the steroids (!), and let those eyebrows grow back in bro hahah! Thick eyebrows are in!
I see why he didn’t like his theme. I never paid much attention before but now I get why he didn’t like it. Sounds like something you’d hear at a Hot Topic store.
What a burger made it to Alabama
Cafe is the best 💪🙏❤
Great episode
Thanks bud
All eyes are on Maven now. RUclips is wide awake and we are watching.
David out there paying those bills.
Reynaldo Riviera - RR, The Intergalactic Superstar. 😂😂 Rene you adorable cheeky man you.😂😂
Wonder who else joined Maven in the "Get Injured but still go to the stripclub the same night" crew. 😂
Maven is funny as heck
James need to get Maven back here in the cafe. It's already been past 2 months since this video. please James.
Mavens a beast
Maven is always a great guest! Y’all need to reconnect with the old crew tho with Paul and Jason.
Where's Paul?
Man.. The way maven built up his tech guy sounds like the hacking whiz from mission impossible or the architect from matrix😂
27:56
43:45 I wish Vince would bring in the big guys again as often as he did back then.
Awesome
Maven, I had an American Eskimo named Rebel. He just died a month ago at the grand age of 17!
I can’t believe you have one. Makes me love you even more. Cherish every moment you get.
Could you interview Billy Kidman?
You should get Raven on.
08:18 YESSIR 😂
Hey James quick question, who’s your favorite pro wrestler of all time?
Bret

Great point made by Maven. 33:30 -34:17.
57:55 Haha!
What happened to James audio? It was very crisp and clear a week ago? 🤔
Laptop broke, currently getting it fixed
@@cafederenegotcha. I thought I was tripping for a second. Thanks for the update james.
Cena knows he’s a horrible worker that’s why he put more emphasis on connecting with fans.
The same fans that booed him over a decade as a rejected babyface?
Cena is not a horrible worker lol I feel like people who say this ignore a lot of his work
@@FireAngelChris He is.
He benefited from having all the remaining AE legends around in RA carrying him (Undertaker, Kurt, Shawn, HHH, Edge...).
Even Orton, who's from Cena's era, carried him. Orton had the talent, natural charisma, timing, and psychology. But lacked discipline. Cena had a better body and discipline, but lacked everything else Orton had.
💯🤣
If Maven ever loses momentum with the wrestling content, he could switch over to the Red Pill talk cuz it's a void in it right now and he has that Andrew Tate speech pattern to him.
16:55
8:18, haha.
HUMPTY DUMPTY HEAD
1:02:29 😂
Why do people think maven left wwe?? He got fired. What world are these people living in? Lol
Starting a channel soon just a heads up it's gonna be similar to the café can't wait
Post the death match guy masda video
Wish he would talk about his past drug issues in depth. He never does tho.
Check out our 1st episode with him
Where's Paul?😔
I know Maven doesnt really like to mention the race stuff but come on, any honest wrestling observer would have to admit anti-black promos, characters, real life anti-black people(HHH) have been in wrestling from the beginning. He spoke about HHH on the last podcast, dude has yt power elements in his character, did blackface, went along with the nappy hair and "youre not fit to be champion" etc...
