Desmond and Penny is the best love story I have ever seen in film, movie or show. This scene alone makes the entire show worth it. What a beauty, makes me tear up every time. Makes you want something like this for yourself.

Exactly! I remember watching it for the first time noticing his hopeful smile behind loneliness he felt at that time. Such a great detail that even though it hadn't happened yet he still knew, as if past present and future weren't seperate they were felt together.
To me, this was the point where the survivors finally caught a break, where things worked out the way they wanted. And it is so beautifully executed, omg!
