I did some canvas work back in the 80s, and my interest is returning. Your video may have me at it again. Thank you!

It was one of my favorite projects while building a sailboat!

Your pen and ink drawings with water colour brushed shadows was absolutely beautiful! Vernon in WV

I can't wait to be able to devote more time to creating more drawings. I am building a Lyle Hess designed bare hull sailboat that is taking ALL my free time.

What beautiful segues with that pen and ink.

I enjoyed the hell out of that video, although I have made up dozens of Ditty Bags. No annoying music or voice over, just the sounds of the labours. Nicely done. Vernon in West Vancouver.

The journey through this video was entrancing. A Workman and His Tools ~ A Craftsman in his expertise ~ History weaved all the way through ~ Emotionally churning and filled with admiration and awe. Love the filming ~ how did that happen? The punctuation of JOHN C. HEINDEL captured my heart. The study that this involved and the willingness to dedicate the time ~ to invite others into the mind of the craftsman, not only you Joey, but the history of the art, the gathering of whatever makes up this magic of art handed down through generations. BRILLIANT!

I never take for granted where I come from, Thank you for being there as as he breathed his last and we watched him fly away to his next journey.

I was privileged to be there as we watched him take his wings. 🕊
I watched the video again and breathed my way through it, loving every ounce of it and feeling comfort in your workshop that reflected my own childhood memories, especially those Darlins screwed into the shelf to hold the nuts and bolts of life.
You have the eyes upon you and the heart within you to carry you forward expressing the amazement of the Heindel artistry.

Nice. Might I suggest, future grommets be secured with the buttonhole stitch.

Extremely well done video. Your workmanship, patience and dedication are inspiring. I’m on my first seam from the design from the Ditty Bag Book but it’s not going to look anywhere near as nice as yours!

The main bag in the video was waxed canvas duck cloth, the bag that I waxed was plain duck cloth canvas.
