Honestly MCCC covers almost all of the other cheat mods. Between that and satisfaction points there is no need to clutter your mods folder. Great video.
MCCC does have a lot in there! I feel like sometimes it’s just so much at once that it’s hard to navigate and find the setting your looking for so I can see why people would download smaller mods to fix those things instead of going through MCCC😊

I think modders are lucky to not be part of a big corporation that forces them to make certain decisions. I also think that it helps a lot they have the creative freedom to not think about computer specs, cost etc. They can just create and that freedom shows for sure!
@@UnknownName5050 Thanks, I appreciate it! I work in an IT company and I see what business structure does with creative freedom. It’s not in all cases a negative thing because loads of mods broke and stopped being supported while the game is being kept up by a corporate working on it (doesn’t have to be a corporate ofc, can also just be a smaller studio). I’m just super thankful for the amazing modders in The Sims community that genuinely care about the game enough to put hours into making it even better and almost always for free!

I would recommend any mods by Adeepindigo, More kisses mod by Maplebell, Passionate gifts & Kiss N grind by Utopya, SNB Bank and Bills by Simrealist (a must for me), Mega interactions mod (add more friendly/romance interactions) by KatieMods, Carry up while kissing mod by Khlas, Simzlink & Doorbell by Lot51. Somik & Severinka Cooking mod, Littlebowbub grannies recipes To improve the gameplay, I really like Lotharihoe sim spawn overhaul that prevents sims from other worlds to pop up in yours or there's one by Kuttoe called the Homeregions mod that does the same but more in depth. And also the phone call overhaul by Lotharihoe. This mod prevents among other things sim being invited to a bar or date in Oasis Springs when they live in San Myshuno (I personnaly hated it) so if there's a bar available in the world then they will likely get invited there instead of another world. These are my recommandations i have lots more but i feel lile those are the ones i would never delete

Fair warning to anyone trying adeepindigo mod for pre-teens to exist!!! It is outdated, abandoned, and no longer works with the most recent versions of the game :( very disappointing. I love adeepindigo's Youth and Family Activities mod though, which works beautifully!
@@diamond20044 Some mods contain a lot of script and then when the game updates they break 😭 It’s kind of the trade of that you make when playing with such game changing mods - they are amazing while in game but once they break it’s a pain

OMG, thank you so much for the tip on the Free Will Delay mod! I will definitely be downloading that tomorrow. I get so frustrated with my Sims trashing the actions I queue up for them, especially when I'm trying to get them to take care of their infants and toddlers. This mod might be a lifesaver!
I love that video! I do have a lot of those already or at least came across some of them. I would add a « small gameplay objects mods » category if I were to put my mods in categories. In that category Ravasheen, JaneSimsten’s skill mods would fall, as well as Flowfit and in the same vein as flowfit: there is the let’s get fit fanmade pack by Cepzid and Hakrabr! (I also recommend MissyHissy’s mods for wants-based gameplay but this is very specific I’d say?) Also: I heavily recommend bienchen’s mods for small « fix my game mods ». One I have is to have the « open » interaction on the first click and not in more choices when clicking on the fridge. Small but weirdly useful.

I had to actually completely delete my mod folder due to my game being unplayable from something that I have no idea about the cause of... and I'm SO GLAD I found this video as one of my first videos because it's an amazing video and honestly I love your vibe and voice and subscribed because you make all kinds of Sims 4 content. I was really glad to see the organization system and this video is super comforting even if I'm not actually paying attention because of how you explained it and everything. I had a few mods that I was excited to download immediately, like more CAS columns (which I previously had but was procrastinating getting back), free will delay, and actually a lot of the education and school mods you mentioned like subject homework, homework tweak, and even the free holiday mod. I also was interested in the simulation speed up and simulation lag pair because I'VE DIRECTLY IMAGINED THAT EXACT PAIR OF MODS AND I'M SO HAPPY IT EXISTS AND I FOUND IT! Thank you for making this amazing video and really allowing me to explore mods again!!! I'm super excited to start playing now. Edit literally moments later that I forgot to include despite thinking about it: I also made a "idle Sims 4 mods folder" which I suggest if you don't have one. I put mods that are downloaded, but not in my game currently (or potentially broken that I'm testing), in that folder, and then put broken mods in a folder in that folder, so I can find them later if they were updated. I'm a really organized person depending on the circumstances so I really like having that and suggest it if anyone wants to try doing that.

I use few big mods mostly I use little fixes by littlemssam or kuttoe but I can’t play without Lumpinou’s mods for sure ❤ and lately I added Kuttoe’s Home Regions & Townie Demographics and omg I love how in depth it is the sim world truly feels like a planet with different cultures and not all sims look the same and have the same names etc it fixes the townie templates EA was too lazy to implement in newer worlds! And also MissyHissy Mods I love the Sims 2 and her Hobby, Personality and Wants and Fears Mod are reminiscent of that, makes gameplay more meaningful and interesting to me 😊 I was thinking about trying out Carl’s Gameplay Overhaul it fixes many things like fishing and makes gameplay harder and more emotion focused and not just fulfilling goals but I’m unsure at the moment.. I like it most when the game feels like “vanilla, but more” 😅

A few of my new favorites (other than most of the ones you have too) has become pet mods. I played the Barbie Challenge and when I got to Pet Vet Barbie, I added one to ALWAYS have food and water (CC water bowl) and they autonomously refill ALL pet bowls. Another one, let's all ages take pets on timed walks like 30-minute walks. One lets you leash and walk cats. The last one I remember, is asking others to walk your pet. I had a butler and would ask the butler to walk the dog when there was too much going on and the kids were at school. Anybody reading this comment, I hope those mods might interest you. I use Curseforge 99%, they are on there. Happy Simming!

Oh, beautiful. I heavily used CC on my old laptop but not many mods, but I recently got a new PC and also just about completed my DLC collection, so I haven't been using CC and I've wanted to simplify my mods folder with more efficient and useful ones. I'm in about a dozen Sims Facebook groups and the mod recommendations in there are always pretty vague and jumbled, and this is very well-organized. You've just convinced me to try at least 5 mods that I've long been aware of but thought would be too complex or not worthwhile.
Also, my new PC monitor doesn't get as bright as my laptop does and I always feel like the Sims is HORRIDLY dark, so these lighting mods will be absolute lifesavers. Thank you for picking a few, good, simple, clean ones!
Me: Oh, Lovestruck just came out, time to redo my mods. I want to cut them down, I have a lot of old mods I barely use or they just clutter my space, let me just put on a random video. Oh look, a Sims mod video, I have all the basics so this will be a good reminder and honestly? Perfect timing. Especially for some of those gameplay tweak mods. I had a lot of them already but Free Will Decay? More Camera Controls, ULTRASPEED? Blessed. I added 23 new mods to my "mods to keep/update/add" list and thats not even counting the lighting ones because I need more brain power to figure those out and it's too late at night for that. This is amazing! Lovely introduction to mods 😊 I started Sims 4 a week ago, haven't played since the first game (24 years ago now... 😳). My biggest gripes at the moment is not being able to queue actions, it just cancels the one in progress, and no customizable keybindings.

There's some other really good LittleMsSam mods that I really like, for instance, Calmer Bees. Also, there's a mod for mite treatment that isn't LittleMsSam but it's really good. I could link them if you want to see them. Also, LittleMsSam has a gemology overhaul and can let you buy parts to fix things. They're all really good and useful.

@@milaMcCullagh Reinstalling a mod is just deleting it from your existing mods folder (like the folder for that mod) and then installing the new version you downloaded exactly like you'd install any mod. No more steps required :)
That is true, but I always find that to be a couple of extra clicks. Like you have to click all the way through the menu to get to the "open" and then you have to select the food from the inventory. This way it's always on the first screen and it just makes it that bit easier. So it's a convenience mod for sure (:

Feel free to check them out and see if any of them are something you might have wanted for your game too 😊 (Theyre mostly small mods, im not that talented. My favs are a mermaid snorkeling fix, a water colour, and a washer and dryer that slot into counters)
Unfortunately they are, the creator who used to offer them for free but they moved them around and now they are behind a permanent paywall. So they are not out of date just moved to a permanently paid location 😭

I so wish you could use mods on console!! I know other games (for example fallout) can be modded on console so it always makes me sad that The Sims cannot do that!
Seems like you are struggling with a catergory definition between CC and Mods. Like for the ‘mod’ to work it brings along an object. For me I just catergorize certain things as functional objects (most of the Ravasheen mods are in this catergory). Technically a bed and bookcase are functional objects but don’t really add gameplay they just do what other beds do so I will leave those aole in the CC catergory. But like flowfit adds significantly different objects to the game so I tend to catergorize them as functional CC, functional objects, or object-mods (all three definitions work). Like Utopya CC’s pool table adds full on unique animations to the game. So just calling it CC seems to undercut it a bit.
I mostly make the split at CC is something that comes with a package file only and contains an item (functional or decorative) and a mod usually comes with a .ts4script file and comes with animations, clickable things in the game like interactions etc. In some cases I have added functional cc to my mods list because I get a lot of questions about it on stream (like flowfit) and in some cases I have not because keeping track of all my cc would literally be impossible 😅 I don’t feel like I’m struggling with it, the definitions are not just super black and white and I try to give it an interpretation that makes sense to keep things organized 😊
I would love that one but unfortunately it conflicts with many mods I have on my list (or could conflict with) but I feel like the day that I cave and download it anyways is close haha

I had to actually completely delete my mod folder due to my game being unplayable from something that I have no idea about the cause of... and I'm SO GLAD I found this video as one of my first videos because it's an amazing video and honestly I love your vibe and voice and subscribed because you make all kinds of Sims 4 content. I was really glad to see the organization system and this video is super comforting even if I'm not actually paying attention because of how you explained it and everything. I had a few mods that I was excited to download immediately, like more CAS columns (which I previously had but was procrastinating getting back), free will delay, and actually a lot of the education and school mods you mentioned like subject homework, homework tweak, and even the free holiday mod. I also was interested in the simulation speed up and simulation lag pair because I'VE DIRECTLY IMAGINED THAT EXACT PAIR OF MODS AND I'M SO HAPPY IT EXISTS AND I FOUND IT! Thank you for making this amazing video and really allowing me to explore mods again!!! I'm super excited to start playing now.
Edit literally moments later that I forgot to include despite thinking about it: I also made a "idle Sims 4 mods folder" which I suggest if you don't have one. I put mods that are downloaded, but not in my game currently (or potentially broken that I'm testing), in that folder, and then put broken mods in a folder in that folder, so I can find them later if they were updated. I'm a really organized person depending on the circumstances so I really like having that and suggest it if anyone wants to try doing that.

I love your mod and CC recs thank you!! I use few big mods mostly I use little fixes by littlemssam or kuttoe but I can’t play without Lumpinou’s mods for sure ❤ and lately I added Kuttoe’s Home Regions & Townie Demographics and omg I love how in depth it is the sim world truly feels like a planet with different cultures and not all sims look the same and have the same names etc it fixes the townie templates EA was too lazy to implement in newer worlds! And also MissyHissy Mods I love the Sims 2 and her Hobby, Personality and Wants and Fears Mod are reminiscent of that, makes gameplay more meaningful and interesting to me 😊 I was thinking about trying out Carl’s Gameplay Overhaul it fixes many things like fishing and makes gameplay harder and more emotion focused and not just fulfilling goals but I’m unsure at the moment.. I like it most when the game feels like “vanilla, but more” 😅

You're a GAMESAVER. My favorite sims 4 content creator. You really help me and I've only been introduced to mods as of a few days ago and I've been playing this game since The Sims 2 was released! THANK YOU
A few of my new favorites (other than most of the ones you have too) has become pet mods. I played the Barbie Challenge and when I got to Pet Vet Barbie, I added one to ALWAYS have food and water (CC water bowl) and they autonomously refill ALL pet bowls. Another one, let's all ages take pets on timed walks like 30-minute walks. One lets you leash and walk cats. The last one I remember, is asking others to walk your pet. I had a butler and would ask the butler to walk the dog when there was too much going on and the kids were at school.

Oh, beautiful. I heavily used CC on my old laptop but not many mods, but I recently got a new PC and also just about completed my DLC collection, so I haven't been using CC and I've wanted to simplify my mods folder with more efficient and useful ones. I'm in about a dozen Sims Facebook groups and the mod recommendations in there are always pretty vague and jumbled, and this is very well-organized. You've just convinced me to try at least 5 mods that I've long been aware of but thought would be too complex or not worthwhile.
Also, my new PC monitor doesn't get as bright as my laptop does and I always feel like the Sims is HORRIDLY dark, so these lighting mods will be absolute lifesavers. Thank you for picking a few, good, simple, clean ones!

This is amazing! Lovely introduction to mods 😊 I started Sims 4 a week ago, haven't played since the first game (24 years ago now... 😳). My biggest gripes at the moment is not being able to queue actions, it just cancels the one in progress, and no customizable keybindings.

I like all the mods and addon and how you make it easy to understand !! I do not feel you were putting people down in this video !! as some one said in there comment!! I did not hear you putting any one down!! . more like what mods your talking about , that you like and use your self letting us pick what we might like and going in to detail in a way we can understanding so we can de sided what we want and do not want in our sims 4 game .!!
There's some other really good LittleMsSam mods that I really like, for instance, Calmer Bees. Also, there's a mod for mite treatment that isn't LittleMsSam but it's really good. I could link them if you want to see them. Also, LittleMsSam has a gemology overhaul and can let you buy parts to fix things. They're all really good and useful.
I know about all of these :) I did not really need them for my gameplay but they have such a large library of mods it’s wild!!

@@milaMcCullagh Reinstalling a mod is just deleting it from your existing mods folder (like the folder for that mod) and then installing the new version you downloaded exactly like you'd install any mod. No more steps required :)
You can already choose what your sims eat from the fridge just by using the open fridge button tho
That is true, but I always find that to be a couple of extra clicks. Like you have to click all the way through the menu to get to the "open" and then you have to select the food from the inventory. This way it's always on the first screen and it just makes it that bit easier. So it's a convenience mod for sure (:

Unfortunately they are, the creator who used to offer them for free but they moved them around and now they are behind a permanent paywall. So they are not out of date just moved to a permanently paid location 😭

Seems like you are struggling with a catergory definition between CC and Mods. Like for the ‘mod’ to work it brings along an object.
For me I just catergorize certain things as functional objects (most of the Ravasheen mods are in this catergory). Technically a bed and bookcase are functional objects but don’t really add gameplay they just do what other beds do so I will leave those aole in the CC catergory. But like flowfit adds significantly different objects to the game so I tend to catergorize them as functional CC, functional objects, or object-mods (all three definitions work). Like Utopya CC’s pool table adds full on unique animations to the game. So just calling it CC seems to undercut it a bit.
I mostly make the split at CC is something that comes with a package file only and contains an item (functional or decorative) and a mod usually comes with a .ts4script file and comes with animations, clickable things in the game like interactions etc. In some cases I have added functional cc to my mods list because I get a lot of questions about it on stream (like flowfit) and in some cases I have not because keeping track of all my cc would literally be impossible 😅 I don’t feel like I’m struggling with it, the definitions are not just super black and white and I try to give it an interpretation that makes sense to keep things organized 😊
A mod I would recommend is WonderfulWhims♥
I would love that one but unfortunately it conflicts with many mods I have on my list (or could conflict with) but I feel like the day that I cave and download it anyways is close haha
