I think when people say that mutts are healthier than pure-bred dogs it’s in reference to issues that directly arise from the irresponsible breed standards that, for example, force short nosed breeds like pugs and frenchies to have massive deformities that make their lives very stressful as they cannot breathe properly. And all just because it “looks cuter”.
Or purebred German Shepards, who have severe hip health problems caused by irresponsible breeding! Even a dog with a long face can be wrong under the skin. Unhealthy purebred breeds can seem perfectly healthy on the outside, not so much inside 💔
yes I feel so bad for dogs who can barely breathe. Frenchies have some of the worst health problems of any breed in my opinion. I mean they literally have to be born via cesarean because they’re too big to be pushed out
Never before have I seen another dog that actually looks near-exactly like my childhood family pupper! I like both but don't shave these kind of dogs cause (as I know since owning a border terrier and a samoyed) you have to pull that fur out as soon as they shed instead of shaving it cause it would damage the fur and the ability to regulate temperature as it was mentioned.

My dog can change colour too. If the lawn is freshly moven she is turning from fluffy white to Wet Grass Green and whenever she finds out that the vegetable growing field exists she turns black since a lot of black fine dirt exists there that she is applying gently by rubbing herself all in it.

It's true that mutts aren't necessarily healthier, but they are often healthier by default, because selective breeding creates and maintains detrimental traits in dogs that are artificially selected (American and English Bulldogs, King Charles Spaniels, German Shepherds and so on). Mutts are more likely to just have a random assortment of traits where detrimental traits can naturally fade away. Not all breeds of dogs have these problems of course, but if you're going to buy a dog breed specifically, be sure to choose responsibly. Edit: thanks to everyone for the highly reasonable thoughts and comments; this community seems pretty amazing, especially compared to what I'm used to seeing.
Facts. I have had a pure breed American Bully and he had so many health issues it was unbelievable. As for my “mega mutt” the dog rarely got sick or had health issues.
Eh, if ethically bred, purebred dogs are screened for diseases before the breeding takes place. So the point is moot. Not all diseases can be screened for, but many can. Also, I think you mean English Bulldogs. American Bulldogs are generally quite healthy.
@@reebot690 “if ethically bred” yeah and how many breeders (outside of responsible ones) do that again? Not many. They just take two purebreds and breed them majority of the time. Yeah, I had Jack Russel/Whippet cross when I was younger, and she was like a hyperactive little puppy until the very end of her life; I’m not sure how things went down, logistically speaking, with her JR/Whippet parents, but it must have been a sight haha. We named her Socks, because she had four white paws; and she lived up to her name, as she bloody adored playing with socks. Whether it be playing catch with balls of socks, to having a game of tug-of-war with individual socks, or even just lying down chewing/fighting with them on her own, they were one of her favourite things; she even learnt how to take off people’s socks when they were wearing them, without accidentally biting their toes…she was nuts haha. Her rather unique look could probably best be described as being a “Jack Russel on stilts”; she had the body, and face of a JR, but with the longer legs of a whippet; her coat was also slightly longer, and more whippet-like. Despite her odd lineage, and the fact that she was the runt of the litter, she lived to the ripe old age of 18- outliving all of her siblings, with very few health problems in her life. She was a crazy, fantastic dog, and it was great growing up with her. I hope your little JR/Yorkie bundle of crazy hyperactivity is doing great, and that he/she goes on to live a very long, happy, and healthy life. All the best.

Her coat looked so pretty after the wash! but the shear-cut looks like it's more comfy!
She’s so beautiful ❣️❣️❣️✨✨✨
Can't stop watching these vids in my free time. I love all the adventures with each dog. Miss the old days when I walked dogs for the shelter. Damn this adult life...
3:25 I thought they were grinch feet 😂
I watch your videos to reduce stress. They are very helpful 🙂
I love just how well-behaved this dog is. You can tell she's gone through this many times before.
Also, I don't think I've ever seen a Mohawk on a dog before!😆
What a saucy grandma! I love her!!!
My dog changed color. His name is Rusty. You wouldn’t understand by looking at him since his hair is cream colored, but it used to be a rusty copper. We gave him a haircut and it grew back a completely different color. We were shocked!!!
I, getting a dog in a month, wish me luck
Good luck. 😎👍
