Omg, thank you! I have the hardest time getting burnt stains off my glass top. My grandma was a pro at that. She would make it look brand new! I don’t remember how she did it. She’s not here anymore, so I can’t ask her. I’m definitely trying this. ♥️
Yes to the scraper, but also a magic eraser, and when it’s reall effed up we use CeramaBrite, you squirt it on and swirl it all over, it hardens like car buffing paste, and then you wipe/buff it off with a paper towel, and it’s like brand new.
Hey! I love your videos, and you normally have great tips, but using lemon and baking soda together for cleaning is a common mistake. Mixing the two together gives sodium citrate, which is pretty much like cleaning with salt water. Both are great on their own, but together they become a pretty weak cleaning agent. I hope this helps! Also, this misconception also applies to white vinegar and baking soda.
Ooh ive heard about using mixed vinegar and baking soda being useless for cleaning but ive also heard you can still use them together for cleaning by mixing them on the surface you're cleaning instead of premixing. This is where you're cleaning using their chemical reaction instead of their individual abilities 🤔 tho i dont really know how effective it is
@@ElizaArikayou are spot on, that’s how i clean my porcelain sink…..works like a charm. Pour the baking soda first let it sit for a minute then pour the vinegar on and let it do the work. 👍🏼
Nah for the caked on stuff I would use a bit of vinegar and general chunk of salt. Then I would scrubb it down and scape with a scraper. The baking soda just eliminates the acid properties via a neutralization reaction making it nearly useless
Chris you don’t wanna scrape glass surfaces dry like that you run the risk of scratching the glass top you always wet glass before scraping when I would the pms on all our new trucks at work I had to scrape all the stickers off the windshields keeping the surface wet makes it 10x easier and no scratches
My biggest question is how does anyone let their cooktop get this dirty I wipe mine down after every use and clean it properly once a week and it takes so little time
Fun fact, baking soda on a lemon will fizz and essentially paste up without any added benefits from the citric acid. If you happen to need more scrubbing power and citric penetration, you can try using granulated sugar or salt instead of baking soda.
No, you'll need therapy for that. You can start with "Adult Children of Emotionally Immature Parents" by Lindsay C. Gibson, "It Didn't Start With You" by Mark Wolynn, and "Unwinding Anxiety" by Judson Brewer
We must protect this guy at all costs

Easy-Off oven cleaner in the yellow can works amazing! You just gotta leave it on for a certain amount of time depending on how bad the burns are etc

I use baking soda and vinegar leave 10 mins and wipe
If yall would wipe down the glasstop everyday b4 sleep or end of the day… there shouldn’t be any build up of anything

Roll your lemons before you cut into them to get even more juice out of them. 😊

where's the vinegar?
Lemon juice is close to the same acidity of vinegar but with a better scent :)

yikes if the cooktop got that bad you need to clean after cooking better
And add some dishwasher liquid ❤
but,,, baking soda neutralizes acid,,

Wire brush on drill.
Or you buy the ceram cleaner and some gloves. Apply soak wash off.
A drop of dish soap will do some magic
