  • So many questions on what is it like to take a pipe welding test. How critical is a pipe welding test. What is the step by step of welding a pipe coupon. Well you guys in this episode we are bringing you a long to reclaim my papers... So about 6 months ago if you go back far enough I ran into a little streak of bad luck. I caught three welding repairs. Can you say I felt like an idiot!!! I hate repairs in general but to catch three repairs is a sure way to get laid off.so after two years and only one repair bam its all over. So one of the things you have to understand is when it comes to welding for gas companies each gas company has there own way of doing things there own welding procceders. but almost all across the board three repairs equals getting your papers pulled meaning you cant weld for that gas company again and a probation period. so for this test I am coming off a 6 month probation period, oh yeah I almost forgot to tell you. you have to take the complete test over again. Big thank you to the company that I work with for keeping us busy and going. hope you guys enjoy as I bring you a long for a welding test for a real gas company. Be Blessed

    Nice job pushing the 6010 root in. Never seen much downhill used as you're constantly catching slag. But it does speed up production immensely. I did this type of work for decades and never tired of it and the money. Well done Sir.

    Love the video, but one thing all weld videos miss are the final product. I understand welders are insecure about showing there welds if there not perfect, but thats one thing weld tube always shows. It helps me get a better understand what is good and okay and will pass.

    • @billmcyrus
      @billmcyrus 5 лет назад +2

      He's also on Weldtube and Weld dot com. Certainly not insecure--look at the 80's action movie henchman mustache for example. Dude's rocking it like Bennett from Commando. NOT something one does when lacking confidence. Also it does say he ran out of camera battery.

    • @walkerclittle4340
      @walkerclittle4340 5 лет назад

      Bill Cyrus didn’t exactly say he was just that most videos don’t show the weld so that leads to new videos not showing it. I worded that wrong I guess no hate I just think seeing the weld is a plus for the viewer or beginner. I enjoying watching theschofield videos and lifestyle.

    • @billmcyrus
      @billmcyrus 5 лет назад

      @@walkerclittle4340 Ah, quite right. Some of his videos do show finished welds but I think a difference between him and the other two is that he's doing all this on the job instead of just for the camera. So he might be in a hurry to get to the next one more, certainly in this specific case.
