It's hard to find quality videos with ranges of shot styles and subjects using C-mount lenses, especially on the Pocket 4K, so thank you for the great videos you put out. They're super helpful!
Definitely a very stylistic lens when fully open. These old cine lenses are always wild tho, such gems that exist out there. Although I am more of a fan of the subtle nature of vintage still lenses. Good stuff man, keep it up!
These are stunning! I'm trying to find this on Ebay but there a couple of the same name, would you mind helping me, is it a Cooke Kinic Taylor Hobson 1 Inch f/1.5 C Mount (fatter silver body) or a Taylor Hobson Cooke Kinic 1" 1inch 25mm (thinner, black body) A pic would be great! Many thanks!
This is the seller I bought from, they appear to have a few left in stock too! www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_dkr=1&iconV2Request=true&_blrs=recall_filtering&_ssn=calkovsky-cinema-worldwide&store_cat=0&store_name=calkovskycinemaworldwide&_oac=1&_nkw=cooke
This seems like a really great alternative to the Helios for smaller sensors like mft and super 16, minus the fact that it seems pretty hard to find one on a budget anymore. Any ideas of where to get it?
Haha it was certainly a challenge, I wasn’t able to actually find one that correctly fit, however I found that I was able to get a 24mm to fit via friction and was able to step up from there
thanks! I actually found one that fit perfectly recently, it was a 23.5mm to series v step up ring, and then i puta series v-6 stepup ring to a 44mm step up ring which was a bit tight but fit into the series 6 size@@FilmTechNZ
I don’t think it had a specific name, I got it with a CCTV lens I bought off AliExpress, but should just be a regular cmount to mft adapter, should be pretty cheap too since there’s no electronics or glass
I believe it was my freewell mist Variable ND, and the LUT I use is this with a few tweaks in lumetri: juanmelara.com.au/products/bmpcc-4k-to-alexa-powergrade-and-luts
Does this function more like a 50mm than a 25mm in terms of field of view because of the Micro 4/3 system? In other words, is this more of a medium lens than a wide lens?
What city was in the shot at 2:31? It looks beautiful. (edit: Looks like it's Florence, Italy for anyone who's wondering) Great shots too. That lens has a very unique quality. It looks a lot like the de-tuned lenses they used in The Batman.
You’re correct, it’s Florence! Thank you! That’s one of the reasons I love this lens, it has a much more prominent swirly effect on the micro four thirds cameras than the Helios lenses so I gravitate more towards this one

Jfc this is just gorgeous, what a wonderful work you did

Beautiful shots
I'm impressed
The effect is really wild! It looks like a tilt-shift lens at times.
Some of the nicest shots I have ever seen.
brilliant shots

@@FilmTechNZlink just goes to a store with lots of lenses. Which is the exact one you have please.
@@colinthomas2525 hello! Did you find an answer?
Brillant
Does it cover the full sensor or did you have to crop to S16 mode ? Does it vignette on S16 if so ? Thanks !
This is straight as it was shot with no cropping, however if you stop down too much you’ll start to see a little vignetting
That's awesome that it covers micro four thirds@@FilmTechNZ
Gorgeous!
how is it so clean in some shots, and very soft edges & swirly in others? just stopping it down?
or is it just the focus distance?
So nice. Love that
Exquisite!
1:31 10/10 chickens, beautiful

The only place I could find one was EBay
Love the footage! Was wondering how you got an nd filter for it, is there a step up ring small enough to attach to it?

what adapter did you use to connect the camera to the black magic? these shots look amazing

Anyone know Ef lenses with bokeh like this? Amazing footage
Crazy footage!!
Can I know what setup you used in that clips?
Nd filters of some kind?
Special luts ?

@@FilmTechNZhi, I can’t seem to find the compatible filter size for this lens, but I want to use an nd filter with it. Can you help me out?

Yes, on the BMPCC4K it becomes a 47.5mm lens due to the 1.9x crop factor.
