I really like how the swirl effect looks at f1.5 and the overall vibe of this video. It's short but covers all the info and shows everything I wanted to see. I'm a fan of this format!

You need a series "x" filter holder for these old lenses. I would guess a series 5, but it could be a 4 or a 6. The old way of fitting filters was to slide the holder onto the outside of the lens barrel. Friction held it in place. There are series to regular mm sized step up rings so you can adapt your favorite screw on filters. Great video. I am glad you having given this old lens a purpose !!

Gorgeous footage. What an incredible pairing with the BMPCC, keeping that beast alive in 2024!

Many of the kinics I've seen have the blue lens coating, which I have read is the same as the cooke sp1, panchro ect.

I got one for 50€ and I love it! I’ve been thinking about making a 3D printed housing for it. Just that it would be easier to focus.

I wish you tested it on a ff/apsc mirrorless, the results on that tiny sensor are amazing

Many of these lenses won’t even cover micro 4/3 so definitely won’t work on apsc or ff without using digital zoom which defeats the purpose

@@stevemcmahon6803 At least on the Pocket 4K, I got the Meteor 5-1 17-69mm lens to work in 2.6K. I would assume that would work for most other 16mm camera lenses.

It's not a true Cooke lens, my friend. You need a Kinetal at a lower price point.
