All social platforms are censored by governments if they are capable. The only differences are good intention or bad intention. Good gov't censors for the good of its people, bad gov't censors to control its people. Chinese gov't must censor because US CIA spies are everywhere.
@hyc1266 All censorship is bad. There is no such thing as "good" censorship. The truth can handle the light it is only the lies that must be protected. Let the truth come out through open dialog. Any and all censorship leads to tyranny.

It's interesting to hear that perspective! In the West, we value individual freedoms, freedom of speech, and open debate, which sometimes lead to very different ideas about unity and governance. While solidarity is important, we also believe that people should have the right to challenge authority, express differing opinions, and make their own choices. It’s important to have a system that encourages open discussion and allows everyone to have a voice, even if it means disagreement.
Regarding _all_ of these severe problems with internet censorship, this is the only solution: *All types of intellectual property (IP) laws must be fully abolished immediately, in any and all jurisdictions worldwide.* All IP laws are extremely unethical for humankind. ‘Against Intellectual Monopoly’ is the most informative book humanity has on the subject now. ‘Against Intellectual Property’ is _another_ incredible essay, but it’s written with right-libertarian rhetoric so if you’re, like me, not right-libertarian you’ll have to read with an open mind and extract the essential info. _Only_ these two texts are the gold standard when it comes to intellectual property.
I think it's also important to note how deeply penetrated US social media is by intelligence agencies, both Alphabet and Meta have whole departments specifically for collecting and sharing data with them. That's a huge part of what this is about.
@iRelevant.47.system.boycott why are you okay with it? You are aware that it's a violation of your constitutional rights in regards to unwarranted search and seizure? This just give us hope that there will be a more peaceful next generation that could work together across different cultures to do exactly what people need to do to save the world from total destruction, either from war or from damaged environments.
Quite the opposite, polls show that many American GenZ males are becoming more and more conservative (nationalistic). It is a bad sign that our younger generation can't take the competition and are instead turning far right. This "cultural" war will never end and is becoming dangerous.

Regarding _all_ of these severe problems with internet censorship, this is the only solution:
*All types of intellectual property (IP) laws must be fully abolished immediately, in any and all jurisdictions worldwide.* All IP laws are extremely unethical for humankind.
I also have a playlist (not _my_ videos) of *the* best videos on intellectual property laws on my channel for all interested.

I think it's also important to note how deeply penetrated US social media is by intelligence agencies, both Alphabet and Meta have whole departments specifically for collecting and sharing data with them. That's a huge part of what this is about.
I'm OK with that part, it is the censorship department which is the problem.
@iRelevant.47.system.boycott why are you okay with it? You are aware that it's a violation of your constitutional rights in regards to unwarranted search and seizure?

It’s really good to know that young people in the US are opening to getting the truth on everything instead of just listening to the very “old” government and the “traditional” fake news media and pure profit oriented social media.

China does have censorship on lots of stuff, but if you understand the rationale behind the decision, and the appropriate way to get around censor subtlety, then all's good.
That's to say Chinese social media is not for everyone, but it does open up a whole new world for those with an open mind.
I guess it is like in the ussr almost everything is legal except if you criticise the party and im fine with that
Just don't expect to hold an insightful discussion on the Uighur genocide, Taiwan, the Senkaku islands, Tiananmen Square, the Umbrella Movement, the housing bubble, or whatever Chinese social unrest happens to be going on in a given week, and you'll be fine. Cat videos and makeup tutorials are cool. Food is also cool so long as it doesn't show people behaving with excessive gluttony. Confucian values are also cool. People using powerdrills to eat corn is sometimes cool, sometimes might get you banned.
@@Elcore let's look at that from another perspective. With the Chinese at least I know what's taboo and what's not, and that's no worse than living in the illusion that I have free speech, proceed to type a zillion words to express my thoughts and have them just disappear.

In the past, Google was unwilling to establish a local database, and the map annotation error could not be solved, so Google chose to withdraw from the mainland Chinese market. China makes its own software. TikTok has established a special database in the United States, which has passed the legal certification of the United States, and is also the responsibility of Americans themselves. Now it is banned. There is still a difference between the two. Executor of H.R.1157 ?
In conclusion, USA is the real wall country, real dictatorship and censorship country, not China ❤❤
Welcome to Cold War 2 The Sequel. Americans are scared of anything they call communist and socialist, and they don't like how younger Americans like socialism and call them communists and then blame it on scapegoats like TikTok. Because to old Americans the only reason someone would like socialism is if China indoctrinates them into USSR-era communists.

How was lobbying ever acceptable? From the first time I heard of it I thought it was foul
To lobby is simply a prettier way of saying to "bri8e". At the end, there is nothing pretty about it!
In China, lobbying is almost equivalent to bribery. When I first heard that lobbying is legal in the US, I was shocked. This kind of thing is absolutely despised in China.
Yup, lobbying is bribery euphemised. “Defending Freedom and democracy” is pretexts for wars and bombings and robbery and neo-colonialism….. wolves in sheep’s skin….

It is legalised corruption. Been there ever since the SCOTUS ruled it was covered by the first amendment.
