This $30 trillion dollar empire has been dying since the American Civil War. Why don't you let the international markets speak for themselves because China, Russia, North Korea, and Iran are dying. The US is still growing and will outlast communism and dictatorships.

Hi. Just like to let everyone know, RedNote is *NOT* actually the Chinese version of TikTok.
There is another app that is the Chinese version of TikTok. But unfortunately it's not available outside China.
*RedNote* is more of a *lifestyle guide* type of app.
It's for people to share their travel experience or restaurant experiences, etc. It's also for people to share advice on clothing and hairstyles, etc.
But I'm sure the creator of the app is thrilled with this influx of new users. So maybe they'll adjust RedNote to become more like Tiktok! 😊

The tik-tok ban was never about China. It was always about restricting the ability of young Americans to criticize Israel or share critique of the US Military Industrial Complex.
The assumed boost to other providers that would result, was never a real thing.

After ordinary people in China and the United States compared the cost of living on Xiaohongshu, Chinese netizens raised the following questions: 1. Are all your hospitals in the United States run by robbery gangs? How is a price this high any different from robbery? 2. Vegetable freedom, meat freedom, fruit freedom, clothing freedom, snack freedom, do these words really exist? Aren’t the above the basic guarantees of life? Why do you need lunch loans, fruit loans and things like that? 3. What is the purpose of the US government not treating you as human beings? Given your current life pressures and living conditions, what is the point of talking about human rights and democracy? If you can't even afford to eat meat and are afraid of getting sick, can you still be called a "human"?

It was a massive mistake for the world to allow the U.S. to have control of the internet, and the U.S. is increasingly of the opinion that they can simply shut down or "ban" any alternative viewpoints, ensuring that we're increasingly reliant on keeping them sweet, while they seek to ensure that the masses only hear their side of every story. It's a coercive and controlling relationship.

What I hate the most is, USA banning all the triggering words according them, but fail to understand that most people not speak english and don't care about what happens in there.
There is drama about this in my country, there is a word "nggak" That mean "no", but suddenly some people claiming that this word is a slang for the N-word, which is stupid how they fail to notice that the rest of the sentences is not in english, so why do they not assuming that those word is probably not in english, both in language and context.

    • @blatherskite3009
      @blatherskite3009 13 дней назад +48

@@cobasaja7354 Excellent point. It's all about what's offensive in *their* culture, so they're forcing conformity to their values onto the whole world, and that's not right when most other countries don't share their shameful history with race, and only have that N word because Americans brought it with them.
And they couldn't care less about what's offensive in other countries. For example, calling someone a "spaz" is a totally unacceptable slur in my country, but the U.S. thinks that word is no problem, so I bet this comment doesn't get censored by RUclips because U.S. standards apply on the internet.

@@blatherskite3009How is the world going to stop the US from controlling the internet and world-wide web infrastructure it created and currently maintains?
The US government can exercise control over the internet platforms just as the CCP, and now Russia, does for their own internet providers. You're free to go argue against the TikTok ban behind the Great Firewall of China.
It might not seem fair or nice, but neither China, the EU, Japan, South Korea, UK, nor Russia can control the majority of internet traffic. Unless you're going to purchase control of the internet from Silicon Valley, your complaints mean nothing.

While solidarity is important, we also believe that people should have the right to challenge authority, express differing opinions, and make their own choices. It’s really good to know that young people in the US are opening to getting the truth on everything instead of just listening to the very “old” government and the “traditional” fake news media and pure profit oriented social media. This just give us hope that there will be a more peaceful next generation that could work together across different cultures to do exactly what people need to do to save the world from total destruction, either from war or from damaged environments.

In the past, Google was unwilling to establish a local database, and the map annotation error could not be solved, so Google chose to withdraw from the mainland Chinese market. China makes its own software. TikTok has established a special database in the United States, which has passed the legal certification of the United States, and is also the responsibility of Americans themselves.
