I dowloaded the first act of bare, thinking it was the entire show, and calmly boarded my 6 hour flight without wifi. When I realized that I was stuck without the second act, I quickly put You & I on repeat for the remaining 5 hours. When I got off the plane, I downloaded the second act, and listened to that. My jet lagged body was so horribly emotional and it ruined me. So I turned on You & I again, hoping it would remind me of the good times. Instead I was even more heartbroken. All the foreshadowing that had gone right over my head. "I'll be with you always, running together, Forever you and I." Also that part where he says "miss me?" It hurts my soul.
I've been commenting lots, I know, but hear me out: There are SO many times we hear the tune of certain songs in different songs, and every time it MEANS something. It's foreshadowing or it has significance and that is so incredible to me.
This may just be my ears fooling me, but for example, in One I SWEAR I can hear a little bit of Portrait of a Girl and that is the coolest thing to me.
ALSO I have too many comments already but I'd like to have it known that in 2000 No Voice, Peter says "could i have saved you?" instead of "should i have waited?"
it hurts me on a physical level too lmao, i got this show spoiled for me but it was still shocking and stunning and it's one of the best things i've seen it's honestly incredible - i could watch you talk about this for ages there's just so many amazing things to talk about

I love Bare with my entire heart, anyone who gets the chance to listen to it, watch it or see it totally should. It's such a poignant tale and it's so very touching and important. Please check it out if you haven't, it's so incredible. The entire cast of the 2013 LA Revival is so incredibly talented, so I definitely recommend that production. Payson Lewis and Jonah Platt have incredibly good stage chemistry as well and they're so talented it's absolutely perfect. And to the creator of the video, thank you thank you thank you Bare is really incredible and freaking deserves to be known.

Me too Payson and Jonah (and the entire cast for that matter) are all so freaking talented and amazing. I'm still so confused though, Payson and Jonah have like the best stage chemistry I've seen, they're really good at this for two straight guys their acting is amazing I can't. There are some aspects of other productions I like more than this one but this is a really good starting production (gateway production pffff) because the cast is good and the lyrics in this and the cast recording (one of the most well-known recordings of Bare) are for the most part the same and... yea. Wow. I talk about this way too much. Anyway this production is so incredible I agree.

The LA revival with Platt and Lewis is definitely my favorite version just because I think they have the best chemistry of any Jason and Peter pair I've ever seen, but Michael Arden's "Role of a Lifetime" from the Reunion Concert has to be the best version of that song hands down. The author said it was good, so I downloaded the playlist on my phone and went straight to youtube to look up: "Bare bootlegs" XD. Then, when I made sure my mom was asleep, I went to my computer and started watching it. I literally started listening to this 9 hours ago and I'm already obsessed. After watching act two, I'm sitting here at my desk, at 2:07 a.m. and I'm like: 'I'm 12, wtf am I doing on the internet at this time" and then I'm like Oof. I'm sorry you actually read this. I just found this video after getting one of my friends to sit down and watch the LA revival. I've known this show for years now and always say that it's my favourite musical because i found it at the right time in my life. And if it does become a film catch me first in line at the cinema!
