I’ve been searching for the same solution and I’m glad I came across this video. It looks like a very simple pump construction that I could make myself, thanks for the idea. I think I know why I haven’t seen this pop up in a Google search and maybe it’s not that popular because of the whopping price tag! $400, no way I’ll ever buy one! Great video minus the irritating music😉
i'm going to find fault with the website that sells these.....make it quick and painless the video is great and i'm going to get one, and i appreciate you posting this. thanks for taking the time to show the install. well done!
seeing your 4 footed friend is a real plus...i have 4 of the 4 footed critters dumped here i care for. i can't take anymore with dog food prices being through the roof, but these are my buds
I'm about to install mine this week. Looks pretty simple. Hope it lasts for many years. I like that the handle is removable, makes sense and won't be visible. Seems like a very basic pump device for $350. One or two actual metal fittings at the bottom and the rest is PVC. They're making money on this, that's for sure.
@@sycamorewoodsfarm2842 We got it in yesterday. Very easy to put in. Ours it at 80 ft with static level at 60 ft. Pumps very easy even at that depth. Good flow. I used Schedule- 40 pipe for the short, two inch piece between couplings on the casing cap...for extra strength. And we made sure it was on the cap with a tight fit so you don't wanna have that short piece of one inch pipe too long. The well cap is curved a bit and it causes a little extra friction since it bends the pipe slightly, but it probably doesn't affect the pump motion much. A flat cap would be ideal, though. But happy so far.
Nice Job. If I decide to install the pump, I will attach the 1" pump pipe to the inside of the well casing with a couple muffler clamps through the casing wall. Terminate the pump fittings just under the well cap, that way its covered when not in use, but readily available should I need it.
Nice video. Thank you much. After a bit of a learning curve, it seems to me this EPP place is charging an awful lot of money for what amounts to a foot valve and some PVC. Theres DIY vids out there that are much much cheaper than the EPP handpump system. Or you could save yourself a bunch of money by getting some rope and a piece of PVC if an emergency happens.
The background music is a distraction. And your voice gets drowned out by it at times. I would have enjoyed your video a whole lot more if you kept the music out. When giving instructions why have music background? I want to hear the important stuff. I’m not eating in a expensive restaurant in joying a meal. I’m trying to concentrate my hears to your info. Music just draws me away from what I want to hear. Just my two thoughts on the matter.
Great video! Thank you for all your kind words, Lee! We are all enjoying following your journey as you build your homestead.

It is very simple, and we have been extremely satisfied with it. Hope it works out for you, let me know how it goes!!

@@troyisakson1060 glad to hear!! Our well cap was a little curved too, but it works great
Please turn music way down, having cost would cement your video. Thank you keep up good work.
Better yet would be to discard the music altogether, we don’t want it anyway.😊
Thank, you for you're video/ I've got 2 deep wells here on the farm at 700ft deep

speak up or turn the music down.... thanks.
That is brilliant. Nice video. Thanks
Did you drill the weep hole through 1 pipe or both pipes? What diameter well casing did you use? PVC?
I, can hear well and the music is relaxing
Hard to hear with the music playing and you being outside.

I like it but where's your primer for the pipe glue ?????
Again, thank you for you're video/ this is going to be great/ 🙏
Neat! Kind of works like the old "nodding donkey" oil well pumps...
Great video. 👍
laying out a tablecloth to put the pipe on would be a good idea to keep the pipe sanitary.
Great video!
Thank you!
I, notice when I remove the plastic cap on one of the deep wells I notice it's a cable that cable seems to be hooked up to the submurble pump
Will this work on a 200 ft well?
Yes, should work to 300 ft. Just gets harder to lift.
Deep well water is not hard deposits on a hot water heater like a shallow well would be
That looks like a pair of old Frye boots you are wearing. I wore through mine in about 30 years. Did you buy yours, or inherit them?
I bought them!
I really want to hear what you have to say but the music drowns your voice out
Need pvc cleaner before the glue.
Good job 👍👍👍🇲🇦🇲🇦🇲🇦
It should not take me a lot of pipe to draw water although both deep wells are 700ft deep
How deep?
My well is 225ft deep, but the hand well goes down 60ft
I, live above sea level
My well cap is metal, this probably wouldn’t work
The kit actually does work with a metal cap, just need to make sure the drill bit that you use can drill though metal!
You don't have a deep well a deep well is like 300 700 or even 1,000 ft

Lose the music dude, can't hear half what your saying
bad audio levels. also, get right to the point. noone cares how nice of a day it is.
And everyone cares a lot less about your comment. 😊 👍
Nice. Thanks for the video
Music very annoying loud can't hear talking points, it's 5 plus minutes into video maybe it will get better, if not closed caption an mute
