Your Sequoia build is the reason why I traded in my GX460 for a 2nd gen tree. Love it. Also, I’m from Kitsap, so that just made it even cooler knowing you’re around the area. I’ve got a premium as well and trying to decide between rear air spacers or full on Dobinsons lift. I’ve had Dob’s on my FJC and loved it. Love the build man. Also thought of adding rear towing airbags to dob’s suspension to eliminate any sagging when fully loaded or trailering.
Oh hell yes! If you’re gonna tow just leave the airbags and add the tandem pucks along with shock spacers and you’re golden. If you’re not towing so much I’d go full dobi and eliminate the airbags
@@CoolGuyClub thanks for the info! Looks like I’ll be going with the dob’s lift since won’t be trailering as much. I’ll be adding the Firestone Coil Rite airbag system as well for added support in case of sag. Simple install and locating the air valve near the hitch makes filling up the bags as easy peasy. Saw the mod on a few GX builds.
Another Washingtonian . I have owned 40 plus vehicles lol yes I got car addiction . Traded in my beloved 2021 4Runner Trd off road . Because towing even a small trailer under 3,000 lbs is a struggle for the 4.0 v6 up hills and forsure mountains . Love this sequoia. It’s just like Tacoma is to 4 runner and tundra to sequoia . Ordered the trd pro replica wheels and got the pro grille. . Will keep stock height for towing . Live pierce country maybe I will see your rig someday !
AJT Designs TSS relocation bracket will mount the TSS sensor just behind your grill. You’ll get your cruise control back for like $50. It’s been working fine for mine after many miles of highway and off-roading.
That’s funny, I installed the same Trail Grid Pro Sony radio. Everything came with mine no missing parts and the rear camera worked BUT like you I also hated that particular Sony radio model IT sucks! Replaced it with an 11” Alpine with dash camera and love it!
Victory 4x4 was one of the 1st things I bought for my 5th gen. Had a rtt and awning on and off and realized it was starting to bend the spots it mounts on… plus the front mounts wore out the paint… normally I’d get annoyed but I have a heavy foot and think the bouncing around on trails helped as well… definitely shoulda done front runner or anything else other then a slim line roof rack. I built my 4Runner for light/medium duty trails. Love the build. That’s cool your in the same area… hopefully see ya out on a trail
Another detailed and well thought out video. Thanks for taking the time to go through and honestly rate all the stuff you installed. What roof rack would you recommend or what other roof racks have you heard would be a better alternative?
Solid! Good to know about all the Victory 4x4 Stuff. I really wish all of the companies that make the racks would give use real information about the mounts and support. So far the ALOffroad Rack looks the beefiest.
A lot of good info. I'm currently debating what to buy to take the place of my 21 tundra. Tundra is alright and all, but my 1st gen sequoia seemed a lot more useful, and I was never expected to use it at work, whereas it is assumed if you have a truck the company is free to burden you with its use when no company trucks are available. I've been looking at RHD cruisers and prados but I really liked my 1st gen Sequoia, I was sad when I rolled it. Anyway, that little laser cut piece on the dash you were upset about the lead time. Chances are it was done through a service like xometry, oshcut, send cut send etc... and though their turn around is usually really fast for raw parts....powder coat can add SEVERAL weeks and sometimes even a month or 2. If they made them in house I would be disappointed, but as a person who makes stuff through these companies...I have my local guy powder coat any parts and sometimes he is backlogged 6+ weeks. Just a thought.
Just for clarification, that subwoofer adjustment is for if you have an aftermarket subwoofer with an amp. The factory ones run off of the factory harness so there’s not a good way to individually select it!
I know. But it’s still a bummer you can’t adjust the trim. Especially for the price point of this package. It’s almost cheaper to start from scratch and build your own system.
I absolutely LOVE this build! I am building and modding a 2012 Sequoia just like yours, and will definitely be incorporating some of these mods! One quick question, what floor mats are those? Small detail but I love the way they look! Cheers!

Hi thank you for the great video build outs. Do you plan on an aftermarket rear bumper? If so, any idea on some good options? Will a Tundra aftermarket bumper fit?
On your rack, it used 80/20 extruded aluminum. These crossbars accept 1/4-20 hardware. This can be 1/4-20 carriage bolts, t nuts, or drop in t nuts. While M6 is super close to 1/4-20, 1/4-20 is the best fit!
You’re right on the hardware size. I should have said, I chose the M6 bolts because I prefer having metric hardware because it fits more things in my garage.

I LOVE the eibach's...honestly. I really love how they are just a tad softer than a bilstein or doby. I also love their customer support. I have an HD Tacoma rear shock paired with a Dobinsons shock spacer... the rig rides smooth but it could benefit from a TRD rear sway bar. (My next mod)
@@CoolGuyClub true. I agree. But my sequoia is a 2008 5.7 Sr5 premium (JBL and leather) with 216k miles. It runs like new, but I’m trying to decide what to actually spend money.
