Yeah... I'm not a fan of torque sensors tbh. My dodgy knee wouldn't care for them for a start. Also I don't like the idea of the motor cutting out when you're in a high gear. I can't imagine it will do your knee joints any favours - especially if you a pensioner. And around my way, most of the people riding e-bikes could hardly be described as " young ".And that includes me ! 🤣
@@zednotzee7haha. Yeah fair enough. I've had bikes before where as long as you're pushing a bit against the chain it's ok. Not much effort. But combined with the belt and a single gear this is harder to do at higher speeds.
The Duotts is great for a commute especially with all the extra gears compared to most of these. The Heybike ec1 is a great commuter too if you want to keep it legal.
@e-VRC thank you for your kind reply. I've been binging on your reviews from top to bottom these last few days. I'm a complete newbie to e-bikes and especially to the legality of motors in London. Right now, I'm looking for something very well-made and reliable, but I'm torn between the Duotss C29, Gunai GN29, Lankeleisi X2000 Max (I get the feeling this is your favorite bike), and the Emgwe E26.
@kazitahmidulhaque7938 the Duotts and gunai are pretty much equal so go with whichever is cheaper. The E26 and x2000 are beefier and I really like them both. I do prefer the. X3000 to the x2000 but the x2000 is great and looks a bit more legal. The Fat Tyre ones may attract more attention in London due to the beefier frames and tyres. But you could limit them both, however if you were ever stopped on the x2000 it's hard to argue a dual motor ebike is legal. Also.. With the gunai and Duotts if you were to limit them to 15.5 they'd be much easier to keep pedalling at higher speeds without motor assistance.... Glad you're enjoying the videos, thanks for watching them 👍👍
@e-VRC thank you again for getting back to me. Which one of this you reckon is more well built between the mentioned..i like the duotts and gunai for their proce but its just some people in Facebook groups are having problems about built quality and no help from the company is making me rethink..im more concerned about the build quality than the price. So if you could tell me which one of four is the most well built. And I really like the x2000 but if I had go duotts or gunai because of their cops proof nature Which one should I pick? I saw your excitement go over the moon when riding the gunai which is making me confused. And thanks again for your time . 😁
@kazitahmidulhaque7938 honestly out of the 2 they're pretty much the same but I tried the Gunai first so I was probably more excited but also in the Gunai video I went to places I'd never been before so I was probably more excited for that reason too.
Remember the old days when drop frames were " girls bikes " 😂. In that regard a hairdryer on the plastic protectors on the rack would have made them comd off without damage.
Good looking bike and 30mph that`s really good .Might get one for a winter bike and use my Engwe during the summer months.PS is there not a method to unlock it?
Do you still recommend the Lankeleisi X3000 Max? I've watched lots of reviews - and yours multiple times! - and I'm very interested. Is it still worth it?
Still one of my favourite bikes. If I could only have one just for me I'd probably choose that one. I say just for me as I take my son to school on a Fiido T2 but the Lankeleisi can't do it as it has a non standard rack. But I love the bike and it doesn't look too motorbikey.
Hi mate I have the Duotts C29 I know you've reviewed it so was hoping for your advice please. I was getting vibration from the motor so re greased it, it went away but came back as soon as I went on a grass field any suggestions what it could be and how to fix it?
I'm no motor expert but it could be a lot of things. I'd record it and send the video to Duotts or as BabyCowGiingmadinafield said post it on their FB page. Hope you manage to sort it.
Designing a step-thru bike ie. with no "masculine" cross-bar - so that it doesn't look like a "ladies" bike must be quite a challenge. Less so with small 20" compact folding ebikes of course but not so easy with 26"-28" bikes. This one is unisex of course but has a tough slightly muscular aggressive look to it - so a male rider's masculinity/virility shouldn't be called into question by too many "doubting thomases" (if you'll pardon the expression..)
Let us know your opinions on Torque Sensors and Belt Drives.

Nice one! Whats your current favourite bike? Im looking for my first one to commute to work mostly. And duotts c seemed cool..why do you recommend?

Only a girl would have had a hairdryer in those days. 😂
Ah good idea (hair dryer).
Ah the good old days. When real men had to balance on one leg and put the other in the air like a ballerina 💪😅

30 is like a sprint though, the bike doesn't really want to go that fast 😅

Great review would be ideal bike for myself , but I’m 120kg.
Might be worth asking one sport if it could take 120kg. Sometimes I'm sure they (brands) just make it up.
@ thank you

Ask on c29 owners club facebook?
Loose magnets is usually the culprit
