@@prodrd3948 It's a uniform noise pattern though and we don't know the lighting conditions. It's certainly not a sunny day based on that color grade and those soft shadows. Between the obvious exposure difficulties with such a harshly backlit subject and the high shutter speed, I'm still impressed.
Not suprising. Considering the $9,000 pricetag & the fact that this encourages pros (who have an actual income-generating use case & funds for this) to keep e-mount lenses. This is a Sony win-win. This most likely also uses a Sony sensor, so I'm guessing it has ISO performance equal to the A7siii since it's a video-first (only?) camera that maxes out at 4K. Heck, I don't have a use for it & can barely afford it, but I have E-mount glass & I want it 😂.
@@twentyfifthjt7888 If you think about it, Sony hasn't licensed their E mount to other camera manufacturers regardless of price. They don't have any problem selling camera sensors to competitors and licensing the E mount to third-party lens manufacturers. The only digital cinema cameras that offer E mount (other than Sony) are Kinefinity and Zcam, and that's because they used reverse-engineering without Sony's blessing.
@@twentyfifthjt7888It actually has incredibly awful low light performance as would pretty much and high frame rate global shutter sensor. When you buy a camera of this kind you should know when your buying it that lighting is incredibly important you need extremely high quality lights to avoid flicker and they also must be powerful to light your scene adequately. The sensor was most likely made by Sony but it is the opposite of a high sensitivity rolling shutter sensor like that of the A7siii and FX3.
Cool specs but there's some really bad fixed pattern noise in this footage.... and a lot of the clips have a very noticeable line across the footage that makes using this for professional shoots a non-option. This becomes most noticeable at 2:04 Will you guys be able to guarantee this won't be an issue in the final product?
Well from what they confirmed, it is removing some vertical lines to allow more FPS, therefore the issue that you can see are those lines. 2K upscaled to 4K in over 1400FPS will make almost no difference in quality. If you mean the lines visible on the bird shots, yes, that may be encoding, or editing, but still with updates of firmware can be fixed.
Holy shit, that's quite amazing. And it's S35 E-mount! I do see some aliasing in some clips. But I guess this is more of a technical/scientific camera first rather than Cine cam. But hey it's awesome.
I'm very impressed with what I see, although I realize that it would take a lot of work and so much compensation for proper lighting to get viewable slowmo. Not gonna lie, I would love to try this thing out!
I became addicted to high frame rates with the Sony FS700 (960 FPS, but low quality). I have been saving up for a Chronos, but the Freefly seems to hae better specs, and it's sold at B&H so I am protected of there is anything amiss.
I hope this camera brings you guys huge success. For the price tag it is still cheap though i cannot afford it. But the things it bring to the table are just great.
If you’re super rich, it’s a must buy, if you’re poor like 95% of us, we will just admire the beautiful footage until that luck day comes when we win the lottery.
I guess all these people complaining about the price 1) never buy pro gear and 2) don't know about renting gear. This camera looks amazing. I'm looking forward to seeing the reviews.
Whoa, impressive specs in such a small body! And color science is quite nice from these footage. Seriously, the $9,000 price tag still blows other traditional super slo-mo systems away, like a fraction of a similar Phantom would cost! Let’s wait and see how this bad boy performs when it finally comes out!
It's expensive...but it's one of a kind at this size! This is my new dream camera! You can make anything look good in slow motion...even a sausage dog 😂
I am looking for a cam like this for my youtube productions, borrowed some photron higspeed cameras from time to time... but 10K? ... damn;) A light version for 2-5k would be interesting for me (and my probe lens).
Price is high, but low at same time. This camera is from my perspective, very specific. If I ever gonna work on a project that requires that much fps, this kind of camera would be the one to buy.
That hummingbird footage was among the most impressive I've ever seen.
But pretty noisy

I agree. Huge fan of that shot. Very impressed.
I know it's not camera related, but it's crazy how much they use their core / abdomen to stabilize their flight. Beautiful footage.
Agree. I thought it was computer generated

Was so excited and then I saw the $9,000 price tag 😔
Yeah thats pretty high.
cheap considering other HS cameras
Haha wtf
Pls. You can't even get a "good" slow motion camera for under the € 9,000 price tag. This is really good deal.
well it's pretty cheap mate=)) considering phantom flex price=))
This was a proof that everything looks better in slow mo
I'd love to see paint dry in slow mo.
I would love to try this out while I’m tattooing.. the needle hitting the skin would be awesome!
Everything in slow motion is awesome
SICK!!! Can't wait to see where this camera goes!!

I agree ^^
That's not the camera issue, its bad encoding by the editor.
It's the limitation of the cmv12000 sensor, it's been used in cameras like the bmpc4k and aja cion, which both also have major fpn issues as well.
