I think what I admire most about Norm... is he tells the jokes that amuse himself, first and foremost. They may bomb, and he doesn't care, because he got a kick out of them.

I don’t think that’s quite it. I think he does jokes he knows are funny. And when the audience doesn’t laugh, he knows that’s equally funny. He said so himself: “Comedy is about surprises, so when the audience doesn’t laugh, it’s funny.”

It's interesting because even Conan talks about watching Norm's clips on RUclips while most of them are illegal uploads of copyrighted materials. But yet, they hardly seems to be requesting to take any of them down.
Im fairness to I'm Not Norm they make an effort into categories and the like... And it being Norm who had made little effort im online ., apart from having a great and admired interview show, he was ripe to corner the youtube views game with a little effort in tailoring his readily available online output.. I’m old now, so it’s not until I’ve been watching old SNL clips that I realize what a handsome guy he was! At the time I don’t recall noticing that.

Norm really did seem like a great nice casting person Conan on the other handwas bit kind to norm at all when he was getting "canceled" he didn't even invite him to his last show and now feels guilty and tries to act like he cared for norm but he showed he didn't

Conan always said Norm was his best quest ever, he was inviting him when he had nothing to promote for years, and he was trying to get him on the show and podcast for the last couple of years, but he couldn’t come, now we all know why
@@ikejugend do your research what did Conan do when people tried to get him cancelled? He helped by not inviting him to his last show. Letting him come on when everyone loved him easy but as soon as he thought he might get a little push back no norm. He showed his true colors he is a coward that when a "friend" was down he did nothing but make it worse. He is a coward

I'm sure there was a reason to whatever decision they made, but the fact that Norm kept coming afterwards and Conan and norm were both so cool says a lot. Conan is not a coward, maybe the only real talk show host to take so many risks and so much negativity from people like you, and still making it work. So long live Conan! And long live Norm (in our hearts)!

@bepowerification I agree with Denislav. There's a lot of work that goes into I'm Not Norm's videos and edits. They've brought many people many laughs. She ("I'm Not Norm") met Norm too. There's a selfie of them together in one of the vids on her channel. I forget which one. Leave the girl alone, she probably makes little money being a youtuber.
Norm's stand-up was so non-confessional, he did an entire routine about Star Search, and never once mentioned that he, Norm MacDonald, was on Star Search in 1990. Not even over at the desk when Andy mentioned being a judge on Star Search. This is the kind of guy who keeps quiet about having cancer. RIP Norm. I miss you. I love you.

When Norm sat down, he was in character as the Weekend Update Norm. He had a bit of an attitude and was cranky and sarcastic. Great acting.
Norm was doing blue card jokes in the 90’s and again on his video podcast ’13-’16. He was a master of repeating the same thing over and over again. Basically everything was a stand up gig to Norm. Funny how guests could smoke on the breaks. On this, times have changed for the better 👍
