We baked chicken at 350 until the inside temp was 165 degrees.
Diced zucchini, red bell pepper, orange bell pepper, green bell pepper, red onion, and lemon drizzled with olive oil, salt, and pepper and baked at 425 degrees for 20-25 minutes.
Cauliflower rice- use the dry cook method (see how in this video: • If Your Cauliflower Ri... )
The vinaigrette we made:
3 tablespoons of chopped parsley and chopped fresh dill
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon salt and pepper
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1.5 tablespoons apple cider vinegar

Thank you both for this. I think it's great that you explain super clearly that you don't eat like this every day and the recipes that you show are for the 30 percent of the time where you can let loose but still stay keto. I know for me when I see videos of a keto influencer making the fancy recipes all the time it's easy to forget those are for special occasions, no one is losing weight eating like that all the time 🙂
when I started Keto I felt really low for 3-5 weeks because I hit it hard, no sugar from high fruit consumption and lots of carbs, but after 4 weeks the general hunger pang or food craving disappeared and the brain equilabrated, it normalized and I stopped feeling "low", it takes TIME for the body to adjust if you`ve had a life long habit of eating. I can now have 1-2 meals a day between 12pm and 9pm and feel great, I can even go without food that day and not feel like i`m starving. Couldnt do that before. benefits feel so much better in the head (brain fog gone) can concentrate better, dont get fatigued when working, and wake up feeling alert and fresh.

Excellent advice. Particularly since there are so many indulgent incredible keto dessert recipes online. Your approximate 70/30 percent ratio allows for occasional keto spurges and keeps the lifestyle doable and far more enjoyable. There are those who want to follow a strict 20 carb (not net) program all the time and that is OK too. There are different approaches that can work and then even tweaked or mixed up when they don’t. I know I can’t handle making multiple-serving keto desserts like making whole cheesecakes or a pie with more calories than non keto desserts due to all the butter and heavy cream. I would find it too hard to limit portions so I buy keto cake mix and divide up recipe to make smaller servings at a time. (My cake mix requires 4 eggs so I use one egg and weigh out the dry mix divided by 4 and then bake in 2 small containers. ) Then I can have it over 2 days. I admit I want to eat them both but tell myself to save one to enjoy tomorrow.

That dish looks wonderful! I am so lazy though! Most of the time I eat a salad of chopped radishes and green olives-sometimes I add an avocado. So I do eat steak and broccali most of the time with my olive and radish salad. I do eat a lot of eggs though too. Omad-lost 90 lbs in a little over a year and am now trying to keep it off but I still need to lose 20 or 30 more. It is always a journey. You two are wonderful and lots of fun. Keep up the good work!

Would like the guide : love you both , love the relaxed feel and the simplicity of the recipe’s. You two have really expired me . I started keto after I had an accident and was bed fir 7 months . Gained a bunch of weight , when I was already overweight. I’m down 16 pounds since March. Slow gets it done … thank you ladies so much . Can you make a realistic video on what to eat the 70 % of the time. I think that is what most of us need help him not for the cheating days that is easy, the hard part is the healthy part.

"...you're always thinking about food! There's so much more to life than FOOD" that's it If we keek thinking about food all the time we get stressed. It seems time doesn't go, it seems we are "punishing" ourrselvet with a diet and restrictions and we don't loose weith. Let it be and let's go on a normal life.
The simple days are the days I do not lose weight. I do sous vide steak + broccoli and garlic butter too, but it's so good I eat more than I should. (Salmon + veggie is great too.)
When I'm working my butt off making a complex meal I tend to get full while I'm working on it so I end up eating less. I don't know if I would consider those weight loss days either though.
The days I lose weight are leftover days. When I'm going all out you better believe I'm baking and cooking in bulk. When i have leftovers I tend to eat when I get hungry. I'm not thinking about cooking food when it's a microwave away. I'll eat whenever or not at all if I don't get hungry. When I'm cooking it's for myself and others so I can't just wait when to eat.
So imo it's the all out days that have the potential to lose the most weight (and they can be the best tasting too), or more specifically the leftover days from going all out.
High five for the 70/30 rule.....GREAT ADVISE

That dish looks so delicious. I will have to try it. I completed my 6th day on keto and it’s funny you talked about time spent cooking. I told my husband today I feel like I’m spending all my time cooking, dishes and cleaning up. Eating 3 meals but one is usually more of a snack. I’m still getting really hungry. I just love you two. You’re so fun to watch and love the pooches. All 3 are adorable. 🐶 Oh and the chaffle with cream cheese and red peppers is such a great idea. Trying that too 😁

We have never track macros other than carbs and even then we eyeball it! It’s intuitive for us now. Em

Awe.... I had an "Ollie" Crested....... They are such adorable little creatures...... I miss him and his little sister, LiLi all the time. Fun to see them!!!! Now we have a bulldog pup..... gotta match clothes to her fur...... NOT USED TO THAT ONE BIT!
Aww we love them too! They definitely have strange personalities compared to the other dogs our family has had. They are half Pomeranian too, so they are tiny. I love bulldogs too, so adorable! -Em

Hubby and I literally split a small avocado for dinner on Friday night and felt satiated. That thought would have blown my mind pre-low carb. I’m Italian and I always thought we NEEDED 3 meals a day or I was a failure as a wife/mom. Mindful eating initially felt like an insult to my ancestors! 😂😂. I absolutely adore you ladies and thank you from the bottom of my heart for your content!

I made the most amazing chaffel tonight. Im going to try it again tomorrow for breakfast and use cream cheese. I used almond flour (which I usually don't like) baking powder, egg whites, mozzarella cheese and....That stuff for thickening. Sorry it's late, I can't think of it right now, but it was like wheat bread! omg!
I am super lazy about keto recipes, which is why keto was always discouraging for me. I want to just cook it and eat it, and not have my day turn into a primetime cooking show. So, yeah, 70/30 is fabulous and soooo doable!
I appreciate you breaking this down. Everyone is cooking dirty keto now for ratings. People like me who is new to keto started eating this stuff and gained more weight and didn’t understand. I just started Keto a week ago. I was one of those folks that ate 3 meals a day, a snack or two during the day and a dessert late at night. I was amazed that after just a few days I was not hungry in the morning, ate a light lunch (because my belly was rumbling) and dinner. No snacks needed and certainly no desserts! After 7 days I'm down 5.5 pounds....Getting your mind wrapped around eating only when you're hungry has been a struggle but well worth it.

I hope that your fans share all of their special keto recipes especially the ethnic recipes some may have adapted to fit keto. I know in our home my Egyptian husband has keto friendly ways of making eggs and other items and we are going to experiment with fathead dough and black seeds. He also makes a delicious keto friendly shrimp just like they make on the beaches of Alexandria, Egypt (fish as well).

I have been trying to get back on keto.... also only eat 1 to 2 meals a day but often have to cook extra meals because we are a family of 5. Also, have been getting my garden planted and ready. I planted peppers several varieties of tomatoes (my favorite is aunt ruby green) some ground cherries, fall planted garlic , potatoes (for my kids) and onion. Soon to follow are zucchini, cucumbers, and green beans. I hope you incorporate some garden to table keto meals!

I think if you can fit them in to your carb count they’re fine, I’m mainly talking about things with like a cup of almond flour, or cakes and other really indulgent keto recipes like when we made Keto orange chicken or banana pudding etc -Em

Hi! The recipe for the veggie and chicken dish also calls for feta cheese ( which i am NOT a fan of). I think it might work with just a good sprinkle of parmigiano? I think I might also try it with salmon! Thanks for the inspiration!

More power to you guys for having one meal a day!👏 But...I live in a family of seven people, and we are working all of the time!! So my point is, we really enjoy our three meals a day, because we burn our calories off working through out the day. And as for the low carb wrap thing, I know you shouldn't have them for like every meal, but back in 2017 I had one every day for lunch, and I had lost all of the extra weight! I was wearing a 20, and I had finally got Into a size 14 doing what I do. So, I found that they don't effect weight loss for me, but it might be different with some people, I don't know. Anyway, I've been really enjoying your videos for the past couple of weeks!!😁❤ God bless!!!

They have about 2.5 net carbs each, if you grate your own cheese they will be less! -Em
I can’t get low moisture cheese in my country, do you have another suggestion?
Regular shredded should work, you may have to cook them a little longer (maybe 30 seconds- 1 minute) to get them nice and crispy! -Em
