Keiseriech is better than vanilla
seriously after playing Kaiserreich for a while vanilla feels like a shit mod for HOI4.
Of course, since the main development studio is more focused on gameplay and balance while Kaiseriech almost only works on making a good story.

If Germany is losing the war and the French have crossed the Rhine or so Austria gets an event in which Germany calls for aid and to renew the central powers basically. Often Austria joins the war against France after that.
had the same happen to me, was stuck between allying with mitteleuropa or austrias shitty tiny faction. needless to say i joined mitteleuropa and later austria decided to declare war on mitteleuropa where i killed them as italy with a small reserve tank army ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
oh and i single handedly defeated all syndicalists in the world, only had to call for help during invasion of america to get naval support

Same thing happens with me Austria usually doesn't do anything but i have seen Austria declare on the commune of France once but that game had a lot of other weird things happening too.
Kaissereich: The only game where Austria saves Imperial Germany and not the other way around.

It's funny how true this was. At least for me. In my US game Germany was falling to the French quite badly. I had given up hope for them, but suddenly, the Austrians formed the 2 1/2 Internationale and for some reason decided to fight the Third Internationale and pretty much saved Germany. It was beautiful.

when i play as germany i usually just left a corridor for france to march straight into my land while i focus on invading the rest of france from belgium,that will drag austria and ottoman into your faction and the emergency reserve troop will be enought to slow the invader down while you finish off france

In my Kaiserreich game, indirectly the Entente lead by Canada saved me and the rest of the Mitteleuropa gang from the Reds by attacking Britain.
Plus I even got the Italian Federation to join Mittel Europa too.
Doesn't Danubian Federation usually help Internationale with volunteers though? Should have been USGA flag instead

My first playthrough as German Empire, I basically become the most stable nation in the world, forced Russia to be my ally, steam rolled the syndicalist, return the French and British territories for alliance, yet somehow after controlling most of Europe, when I declare war with the balkan alliance I can't break their defences.

That usually happens maybe 30% of all games, then 20% austrian pro-german intervention and then 50% just austria sitting around doing nothing

In my game Austria always goes and forms the 1 1/2 Internationale
playing the commune of france right now, hungary broke off so austria declared war on them, then after annexing them, released slovakia as a puppet for some reasons, then bohemia broke off without consequences
i already crossed the rhine and still no aggression coming from them, they didn't form the danubian federation so they aren't a big threat anyway

Looked like my AUS playthrough when i liberated Western Europe and save Mittleuropa from being sandwiched by the Internationale and USSR (USSR won the the Second Russian Civil War cause it was a multiplayer game)

Can someone explain to me who is who in what faction here
One faction is Mitteleuropa - Germany and its puppets - AOG (the rest of his faction is weak and probably has capitulated), another faction, not directly allied, but basically fighting the same side is Entente - France in Exile, Canada and Pope's Italy. They are fighting against the Third Internationale - syndicalist France, syndicalist Britain, syndicalist South Italy, syndicalist Iberia etc. The joke is that Soviet Russia usually enters the war on later stages, joining the Third Internationale and can pretty much beat Germany alone, even if French Commune is loosing. Another part of it is when Germany is loosing and the commies are approaching Austro-German border, Austria instantly declares war on France and Russia, not entering the faction. Likewise, it sometimes can help the situation and save all the Entente and Mitteleuropa from syndies.

Whats funny is that the relationship between Austria and the German empire in my latest game Game as the germans got only worse and worse, yet the instant I declar war on france to protect switzerland I get swarmed with volunteers and lendlease equipment from them. Also the Baltic Dutchy somehow won their Civil war, despite being outnumbered 1/4, and half the Unions and syndicalists fleets are destroyers and CVs, but they are all stationed in the english channel and get constantly bombed to shit by my land-based naval Bombers. Also Canada and the French empire are sending so much lend-lease equipment I literally can train new divisions fast enough to use it up and Egypt is constantly sending volunteers aswell. And Liberia too, and they are sending the most out of all....The only Thing that could Save the internationale Now is when maybe the CSA joins them, and even that couldn't save france since their Air Force got completely annihilated, they have taken Four times the casualties of all States on my side combined, and the French empire is currently justifiyng wargoals against them and amassing the troops needed for a naval Invasion.
I've noticed every time I play the U.S.A unless you want syndicalists to be unstoppable you need to send volunteers to the eastern front, is this true for anybody else?

Austria is almost always a hindrance rather than a help as they open up a southern front when they join Germany which further divides my manpower since they can't really handle anything.

On literally every game of kaiserreich I play Germany beats up commie France, the entente doesn't do anything, and it's a stalemate because the ai can't land on Britain.
