I've struggled with apraxia my whole life. I am 27 years old and I've avoided searching for more information because I've been ashamed of it, it is something that causes me a lot of embarrassment when I am out in public, it has also created a huge anxiety problem for me, I avoid going out and being social. I've always tried to ignore thinking about it. It's really tough. Recently I have decided to tackle it and start doing research to better inform myself. Watching your videos has been a massive help to me. Thank you for sharing your journey.

As a parent of a young daughter with verbal apraxia I can not express my profound gratitude for your channel - it means more than you know, I’m so excited by it and humbled by your effort and intention and it has helped me be a better more supportive and confident mother - thank you from the bottom of my heart! Keep it up! It’s people like you who make the world a brighter place for us and the future generation!

My 4 year old son has just been diagnosed. He can say about 4 words. He’s so frustrated and aggressive at times. It breaks my heart how he tries so hard to engage with people, and his confidence is already affected. He is a shell of himself at school. I’m glad I found you to give me a good hopeful insight! I pray everyone with this disorder has confidence, acceptance and SELF LOVE x

Thank you for sharing your personal story. We are concerned our grandson may have this and you are inspiring. It is disappointing to hear there is limited help in adulthood and think you are great for sharing.

Lack of resources seems to be very common for many disabilities as the individual transitions from childhood to adulthood. I love hearing your perspective and your voice. Thanks for making this video.

My son is 5 years old and has speech Apraxia. I can’t tell you, as a Mom, how much your videos and your story are helping. I appreciate you so much for telling everyone what it is like, I understand now for my little guy what he must be thinking and feeling. Though he is non verbal now, he has so much to say. I can’t wait until the days he is able to speak his story too. Thank you!

Oh Jordan, you are a beautiful person! Thank you for creating this platform and wanting people to understand this unique condition, and exercise compassion and patience with people who struggle to speak. You do a wonderful job communicating! I have 2 granddaughters (sisters - ages 4 1/2 and 6) with apraxia of speech and you are giving hope with your platforms and sharing yourself in a vulnerable manner. It was so helpful to hear you say how much energy it takes to have the words in your head but not be able to get them out, and also to hear you express how sometimes you try to get words out and you can feel them come down and then go back up into your head.

Thank you for these insightful videos. We are looking for an SLP with experience in apraxia right now for my son. He is only 18 months old but already is showing a strong preference for signing versus vocalizing. Did you ever learn signing? Was it easier for you than speaking?

My 5 year old grandson was diagnosed with apraxia this year. He can barely speak. They live in Israel where all the speech teachers only speak Hebrew. His parents only know English. It is going to be extra hard on him working with the therapist in Hebrew and the parents speaking only English at home.
