    I love how you kindly explain how to not to restrict yourself from eating what you like but as you mentioned in a prior video: let's honor the "feeling of I've had enough" by having a balanced diet and leaving a small space for sweets.

    When I started cooking for myself for the first time, I downloaded a calorie counting app that also told me how much calorie I was supposed to eat every day based on my height and weight. I was basically only eating the "healthy" side that she is talking about, eating 3 meals a day, sometimes with snacks, and yet I was still BELOW my daily goals!! It was great experience, honestly. I would recommend it to anyone to try for just a week/month or so bc it was a great learning experience. I personally stopped after a couple weeks bc I knew what I wanted to know about my diet from then on. You totally DON'T need to do this for a long time to get valuable takeaways from it!

    Love the channel and all your shorts. Keep up the good work!
    I 100% agree with the “80/20” rule. I think there’s a more comprehensive rule that can really make weight loss/ body recomposition more accessible.
    I call it a progressive diet. Basically whatever you eat in a week track that and slowly increase the portion of your calories that come from whole foods. If you’re doing “50/50” then you will make progress next week by doing “55/45” and work your way up to “80/20” and if your goals are still not reached after that you can always keep going!
    Doing this in addition to adding cardio has helped me to look like a bodybuilder and feel great doing it!
    Btw add some protein to that stack of whole foods!!!!

    As a male gym bro I am always baffled by how women seem to avoid lean meats like the pest. Something like chicken breast is also very low in calories while keeping you satiated. Same goes for eggs. You don't have to eat only vegetables and fruits.

    When losing weight 1) drink water, 2) eat healthy nutritious food 3) extra snacks. Most people struggle to differentiate between hunger and thirst and eat something when their body was trying to tell them they were thirsty.
    When gaining weight 1)eat healthy nutritious food, 2)drink something (no 0 calorie options) 3) extra snacks. Keep in mind that you still need enough liquids, but if you don't get enough in you most likely get enough liquids, but not enough calories in.

    I use to have an issue with never ending hunger and BED which I atill struggle with. I use to live on low calorie foods to stay within my caloric range. Now that I am eating real food, such aswhole grain bread thats 120 calories vs white bread with 35 calories and 16 grams of fiber... I don't feel like I'm starving all the time. I increased my calories significantly by switching to real food full of nutrients and find that my appetite is a lot more stable. I thought I cracked the code on weight loss and maintenance along time ago but I am still learning.

    I already know this but the problem for me is limiting it to 20% or whatever amount, I always add more because I eat with emotions or what makes me feel good (because it tastes good). I love food so much. It's hard to quit it. I did it only for a few months until I got back the bad habits

    • @GooseVis56
      @GooseVis56 8 дней назад

      Maybe try to process your emotions rather than ignoring them with food. Try writing down how you feel each day and find what triggers you to overeat. 🫶
      For the wanting more because it tastes so good, maybe you could eat something filling before hand like a baked potato with salad/ veggies. And drink water! ☺️

  • @sacha3296

    i’ve been attempting a very low key 80/20 approach by simply trying to buy only ingredients. bc if you don’t buy processed food you won’t eat it. grant it i live with people that have and share their nice processed things so i still get to enjoy despite buying whole foods only

    I hate the idea of "real whole natural foods". And the assertion that they are all less calorie dense is not true. Nuts are real, whole and natural and they're VERY calorie dense.

    • @mustafafh4402
      @mustafafh4402 6 дней назад

      We need more whole, fiber-rich carbohydrate foods than protein and fats. For example, a balanced distribution could be 50% carbohydrates, 25% protein, and 25% fats.
      We can't eat a plate of nuts the same way we eat a plate of whole grains, vegetables, fruits, or legumes. Whole, fiber-rich foods tend to have more fiber, which is beneficial for colon health. Additionally, the body eliminates the majority of it the next day through regular bowel movements.
      What she is suggesting is wrong because we also need other macronutrients to survive. A balanced approach is key.
