Thank you so much for your comment :D It's a truly mesmerizing place, I really enjoyed capturing and editing this video! Stay tuned for another video from Namibia which will include more camera shots like this ;)
I am totally flabbergasted., I was really depressed today for many things happened in the last days that were breaking my heart. As a young woman (75) painter & fotografer , i got immediately so inspired , that my pain was fleeting away . I started drawing those images which in some way, create hope, the light behind the doors and windows. light and shadow .... all those earthy colours !!!!! I have always been fascinated by closed doors, what's there behind? You opened the door to my heart again. Thank You Mr.Bartolo
Hi Mieke, thank you for the comment - I am very glad that the video brought you some inspiration...it's a truly eerie and magical place at the same time. We all pass through dark, difficult times in our lives but the most important is how much stronger we come out of them so stay strong and don't give up, things will surely get better and keep doing what you're doing!
@@EricBartolo Thank you so much for your reaction .Total respect. I looked at other videos from Kolemanskop, but none of them moved me as yours did. I will send you later some of my paintings made inspired by your Artvideo.
Thanks bud, glad you like it 😁 not a lot of people were visiting only a few more so we practically had the whole town to ourselves at some point because we bought the photographers permit which allows visitors to stay for sunset/sunrise :)
Thanks! This used to be a diamond mining village back in 1908. By 1956, Kolmanskop was completely abandoned when the richest diamond-bearing deposits ever known, were found to be on the beach terraces 270 km south of Kolmanskop. The townspeople left in droves, abandoning homes and possessions.
Those shots were shot on a camera stabilizer and in slow motion hence why they are so stable. I do not like to fly inside as it is very risky and drones are not allowed around Kolmanskop either that's why there are no aerials of the area. Thanks for watching :)
Eric, do you have the copyright rights to this video of Kohlmanskop? We would love to get copyright for this video as we want to use it in our church. Do you know the videographer?

Nice one!

Awesome stable shots, are these taken by a drone flown inside the houses ?

I made the tame impala connection alone and I think 0:56 is the room it is in
Nice footage Eric! the desert will reclaim what was his
It really does reclaim and bury anything that was his!
Eerie
Indeed 🖤
Reminds me of horizon: forbidden west.
When we were living in squallor, wasn't it heaven?
It definitely was!
Would I be allowed to use this footage as background footage in a video I'm making on Kolmanskop? Proper credit would be given
