Anderson's drumming as Bruno's vocals crescendo is just supernatural. If you're going through some shit this song is going to fuck you up, it's going to be a drunk guy classic

The vocals are insane. You can feel this song deep inside. The combination of Anderson and Bruno along with the background singers is crazy. The high notes that Bruno put out are heavenly. Love the unique tone of Anderson voice. The musical arrangement is awesome. I would love to see a video for this song. Great reaction from you. Look forward to more.
This is my favorite track on the whole album..brings me back to Bobby Womack and Donny Hathaway songs...just beautiful old soul and R&B! This has to be the collaboration

They actually went through old drumming books and called up old school drummers to get the drumming right for the time period (70s). That's how ambitious they are. Because modern drummers are just bashing but those older drummers were tiptoeing.

I was never really into this type of music, coming from rock and learned to love metal at an early age. But this album just hit me like a truck! Every single song on this record is incredible, well written, funy AF, funny and packed full of talent in every song! Love it!
Brilliant assessment of the mix of Bruno and Andy. Since it was Bruno who called Andy some months later to come finish a song they played around with when Andy opened for him on tour. Brilliant Bruno is smooth and I think Bruno’s astute musical brain knew before his audience smooth can get stale. Andy brings funk and grit to the mix… I think Bruno saw the possibilities. Andy’s musical brilliance matches Brunos! They are equals on this album utilizing each others brilliance where most appropriate to the music they want to make! Great review, thank you for giving both of them their flowers. Bruno is phenomenal and the fact that Anderson is not intimidated and sings his heart out with him speaks volumes to his talent. In an interview they did say that on every track Anderson is on the drums.

1st off, props to you for sharing your genuine feelings on how you can relate to the song. Real dude! You’re younger so I’d say the Tresvant reference is understandable. But the influence for this tune is surely connected to then 70’s, in terms of the sadness but also the minor key. A song by an artists named Luther Ingram comes to mind: If Living You is. Wrong (I don’t wanna be right), in terms of the minor key & guitar in the intro. Anderson’s voice: actually Jermaine Jackson as a teenager had a tone quality that Andy does now. His tone got smoother as an adult. Ironically with Silk Sonic, Andy has definitely brought his vocal work next level, no doubt! Babyface also helped with this song, & you’re on point recognizing Andy’s drumming. He had a lot to do with the song’s concept. They speak on it in interviews. When Bruno pops the killer not, & then resolves it withAndy rhythmically matching, THAT is insane. Who does THAT? I ain’t heard it. Great reaction bruh! 👍
