Self esteem issues? I understand the hearing disability issue since I am almost deaf too. In YOUR case, you should have no esteem issues. My gosh, with that attitude, that personality, and obvious intelligence. You are definitely above average. I understand the isolation and social difficulty. But realize you are not the cause. I have definitely felt it too. Fortunately, I was able to hear in college, but had to sit in the front of every class, and associated with just a few really close friends. In your case, USC is lucky to have you. I have no doubt you will excel in all that you do. I'm so happy for you. Do your best and be proud of yourself!
I truly hope you’re having a better extracurricular and social life unlike your previous uni. And obviously a wonderful academic experience as well. Watching you happy bought me happiness too. All the best to your endeavors Chrissy, you’re such a delight to watch. 🥰
The colleges who rejected you don't deserve you for your humbleness. CONGRATS on your dream college!! I wish the best of luck to your future education and please upload videos about your college experience at USC!
Thank you so much for sharing! I’m so happy your interview went well, and I’m really excited for you to attend your dream school and bring more (& more authentic) representation for Deaf folks in film! Keep being awesome!!
I’m very glad I found this channel, my cousin taught me ASL when I was really young as she was going through college, and hopefully when I’m out of the Army, I want to follow in her footsteps in speech therapy. Best of luck to you at college!
I went through this experience of waiting around to see if it would get to have an experience of a lifetime when i was waiting for an internship a few years back. It just feels so good to finally get what you want. So awesome for you! Congrats!
Hello chrissy! I'm from Paraguay (hearing). We don't have many resources for learning Paraguayan SL so I'm learning ASL instead and your videos are helping me a lot. I will learn ASL until I can afford to learn PySL. I know it's different but i love learning sign!
You are an amazing young woman, and ANY school would be lucky to have you on their campus and in their classrooms. Your positivity and hopeful outlook is contagious, and I hope that you're meeting some amazing new friends at school this year. I'll keep an eye out for your films, and I'm sure that they'll be well-received, b/c you bring an important message to the table.
This is Nat. You’re going to do great in your dream college. The other colleges don’t know what they will miss. Congratulations. And I say u are an awesome role model for the young ones to look up too. 🤟🏽
im so happy to see you thriving!! our signed world works in CSUN, right? USC school of film was my dream before college, what a fantastic school!! You're doing and going to do amazing things!!
ive been following along with and without captioning to try and pick up on signs (i took aome ASL in highschool but i dont remember much) and i love how u sign so clearly! ur mouth movements and facial expressions also help so much to convey meaning :D ty!!
Congrats congrats!!! Your reaction clip had me almost crying bc I had the exact same reaction last year when I found out I got into my dream school (RIT)!!! I Recently started following your twitter so I’m so excited to see what you’re gonna do (and watch some of your films someday? 👀)
I'm so happy for you!!! I've just found your channel, and I know the agony to wait for this kind of answer! I cried with your reaction. And your make up is stunning! =D
Wow, finally you did it! I really happy for you, hope you do not give up on your own dreams just ignore other people who make you negative so please staying be strong to reach your goals! 👌😁
When you succeed at College I wish added you to my fashion company because of language is available on ASL it would be great to have you so let me know!
wow i loved ur story thanks for sharing ur experience !!! i have the same passion for filmmaking and sharing the stories of underrepresented communities!
Wow! School of cinematic arts! Awesome! I believe you're gonna do it great! But again wow! production and all that stuff Congratulations, Chrissy! 👌👏 btw greetings from El Salvador... unfortunately that mayor is not here mmm so that's like my frustraited dream :c
When I worked at a university teaching math the interpreters were great. They taught me some basic asl that I could use (frequent math terms) with the students.
You’re awesome. That is really beautiful, go have the time of your life! I’m just a humble hearie doing my best to learn and you’re a fun channel. Please keep the vids going thru your college experience!! Nice work...get some! 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
I can see the language barrier scaring away most people. I suspect the issue with approaching you isn't just because because of the language barrier lol. First is the language barrier or the perception of it, second is they're too shallow and care WAY too much of what their "friends" would think of them if they approached you. Third is... well, ask some of your guy friends to rate your looks(trust me when I say, their answers aren't biased) XD I'm fairly certain a lot of the girls in class were intimidated by and jealous of you(guys too) lol
I tried to ignore any typos to keep up, but this one...tripped me up? Is that how it's said? 8:22 Surely you mean "to *have* had" Thank you so much for sharing your excitement.
Hi do you have a private DM? I'm proud of you for getting into USC. Where are you now with USC? Are you close to graduating? Did you find some connection with th school and hopefully not as isolated? I'm deaf too and KUDOS that you go in!! But....I'm on UCLA's side just because my daughter is there (Sorry!)....She's a CODA. I just think we need more films on CODAS ...their outlooks are unique ...and shaped me as a mom! Just throwing that out.
I love you and your cause just wish i knew what you said thank goodness for the comment section!! I guess i know how you feel every day. Forgive me if i said it wrong.
True... if the hearing community wants to interact with the hard of hearing and deaf community, they will. Adding a voice doesn’t really make a huge difference, and it requires less genuine effort. Honestly I don’t think we should be catered to considering society as a whole already caters to us lol

Yes I think that’s what she meant. Let’s not correct Deaf people’s English though. Not trying to call you out, just letting you know it’s a major faux pas in the Deaf/Hard of Hearing community to comment in any way on our English because many D/HH people a. struggle to access English so may not know all the rules, and b. are frequently intentionally deprived of language from birth which results in difficulty learning language for the rest of your life.
Jordie ___ honestly I think he’s respectfully asking for clarification. He even mentioned that he usually ignores typos and probably just wanted it to be clear for himself and others. But yes I totally get where you’re coming from too.

What a journey - and with a happy ending! This happened a couple years ago. I know you’ve come a long way toward meeting your goals. ❤️
I truly hope you’re having a better extracurricular and social life unlike your previous uni. And obviously a wonderful academic experience as well. Watching you happy bought me happiness too. All the best to your endeavors Chrissy, you’re such a delight to watch. 🥰

Learning asl so I don’t know what all you signed. One day I will understand it all.
I didn't realize I had my volume turned up until she screamed. Ouch.😂
A semi-articulated involuntary scream of pure joy and delight is never really a bad thing to hear.
I tried to ignore any typos to keep up, but this one...tripped me up? Is that how it's said?
8:22 Surely you mean "to *have* had"
Thank you so much for sharing your excitement.
I would love to see movies with more deaf hero’s.
Can you make a video speaking about your film passion and vision and things you'd like to do?
Thank you for your videos.

are you wearing your own merch or is that from another franchise?
Plus love you girl 💕
Why did I initially think USC stood for "University of South Carolina"? 😂😭
👏🏾🙌🏾👏🏾🙌🏾👏🏾🙌🏾👏🏾🙌🏾👏🏾
Just shocking. Proof audism is a real problem for the deaf and hard of hearing community, and not just something made up. 👂👍
I hope you know that I can understand you if you talk even tho that your really not able to-
Congratulations

I don’t understand what you say
Oh bummer I could learn sign way more easily if I could hear what you’re saying as well.
I think a lot of the hearing community would follow you too!
