- The wife hooked it up and made one of my favorite Dominican dishes, Moro de Habichuelas! A dish everyone needs to learn how to make! She also whipped up some Pepper Chicken that paired beautifully with the rice! Enjoy!
Note: In this video we only had short grain rice but you should use Long grain rice if available

I'm Mexican and my boyfriend is Khmer. He likes Mexican food but its not his favorite, so the first year he moved in, he did most of the cooking. I gained 40lbs!!!! Rice noodles, rice, and sugar are not my friend and now I can't eat them. No regrets though, I was eating good and he was teaching me all Ma's recipes.

It is not a strictly a dominican dish cuz it's also haitian and it's called " riz colé a poix " . For those who don't know D.R and Haiti are the same island divided by the French and spanish king who took over the Island , killed the Native people Arawaks and split the territory in half , the Spanish king ruled what is called nowadays Dominican Republic and Haiti was ruled by the French king which was the most richest island of the West Indies until 1804 .

Us PR'S make a dish very similar. Arroz con Gandules. and that hard rice at the bottom, we call it (Pe-gow). My spelling might be off but this is how you pronounce it.. My husband is definitely a witness to what you said about being fed by a Latina. I feed him well, lol !
