Actually it is a solution it means the higher ups are probably corrupt but do the research first. Some times in life we bargain and work with bad people for just causes and it sucks big time.
Who’s the good person in this scenario with Arno? Cause Elise is by all rights a horrible person, who practically manipulated Arno into helping her solely for avenging her father then left him stuck under rubble so she could exact revenge. Cause someone who genuinely loves you doesn’t just cast you aside when you make one mistake then comes back when you’re at your lowest to do the same thing over again. Not to mention Day 1 is when Arno outright admits he’s taking back a watch he lost fairly, and every decision he makes is ultimately for one person as opposed to the greater good (until she dies, anyway). One of his decisions even went as far as further endangering the very person he wanted to protect in Lafraniere, seems like even if you could call Arno a “good person” by the end, he was not rooted Day 1 in helping “the people,” it was just Elise
@TheUnseenPath that was my point, corruption infects everything, even the brotherhood. It would take those willing to ignore conflicting aspects to act. Elise asked for help from a man who could make a difference, from that moment Arno could either help in avenging his adoptive father or ignore his love interest who also is the daughter of his adoptive father.
@noirhelios you see it as manipulation, I see it as a plea to achieve a common goal. At the end of the day the man was his "father" for like the past 15 years, had he not avenged him or showed conflict it would've been weird but then again that was the 2nd father he lost. How does attempting to steal back a priceless watch you lost while drunk translate to anything besides "that watch matters to him"? Arno tried to help some overweight bloke who he had no business helping just cause he knew he'd have a better chance at delivering a letter. Does this scene right after the scene you described portray someone without a good conscience? Essentially I believe having a conscience and just morals translate directly to helping people. Hence for the people
Wait...Edward actually one a vs. battle on the channel. Damn...oh and AC Blackflag is still the best AC game period. The one thing that came to mind for this challenge is that both were not great assassins in the beginning, but became one in the end. Now imagine if Arno had Edward as a mentor.
kinda curious can you do a vid on Haytham vs Ezio I know not an assassin vs assassin or templar vs templar but I think its an interesting idea anyways good job on the video it was really entertaining as always 👍👍👍
Arno doesn't have a legacy because Unity didn't sell as well as Black Flag. The importance that Ubisoft gives to any assassin depends solely on how much money they make for the company.
Edward actually did become mentor of the British Brotherhood. He co-led the brotherhood with another assassin - Miko. (The old man that Haytham killed at the beginning of AC3) As for who would win, Edward clearly wins in a straight fight. However, these two are assassins; realistically they wouldn’t be fighting fairly. It would be a battle of who can assassinate the other first, and in that case Arno would win. Edward is my second favorite protagonist after Bayek, but I can’t deny the evidence
Edward may turn it into a brawl if Arno doesn't catch him slipping. Literally Arno only has ONE chance to assassinate him and Edward isn't always the easiest man to sneak up on
Edward actually developed as an Assassin and as a character overall. It took Elise dying for Arno to basically undergo meaningful growth in his entire life........
Dude found his father dead when he was a kid, was adopted, fell in love woth his adopted sister who was his childhood friend and teenage lover, then saw his adopted father being killed in front of him when he could have warned him if he wasn't so busy, then got framed for his death and sent to prison and when he got out all he coudl think about was Elise... as for the order they took him in and he had to face that his father was one of them while his adopted father who took him in and the love of his life were on the opposite order and all in the midst of the French Revolution... his actions seem pretty normal it took him losing the last person left close to him to commit since nothing held him back and had nothing to live for till he found purpose again
@x. kasiouris you speak sense. Sadly the person you responded 2 doesn't know what sense is. They can always be found stating subject views as if they're fact when they're anything but fact. And the rest of the time, they're spluttering homophobic and discriminatory nonsense. I like to call them out when they show up.
@x. kasiouris Still doesn't justifiy how Arno functions as a human being 90 to 95% for Elise and makes it all about them. Altair, Ezio, Bayek and Edward overcame similar if not worse situations than him.
I think a great way to answer this question, is to take a dep dive into who did a better job at upholding the values and ideals of the Assassin Brotherhood. And when we take that into account, it seems clear to me... That both Arno and Edward are not exactly the best candidates for honoring the Creed. Within the three-fourths of the story of Black Flag, Edward never cared too much about the core tenants of the Brotherhood and merely used their tactics and techniques as tools for his pirate career. It was only until the tragic deaths of Blackbeard and James Kidd/Mary Read that Edward began to truly understand what it meant to be an Assassin. Meanwhile, in Unity, Arno often obsessed over his love of Elise, as well as questioned the Assassins' beliefs. Hell, he even flat-out disobeyed them, which is what got him exiled from the Brotherhood in the first place. Even the details regarding how he rejoined the French Brotherhood are honestly pretty vague. Having said all that, however, I'd still give the slight edge to Arno Dorian. Because while he did bend the rules of the French Brotherhood in 18th-century France, at least he was still an Assassin nonetheless, and he was also preternaturally skilled in stealth and reconnaisance, along with having equipment that was perfectly suited for an Assassin during that time period.
Maybe this could be an idea for the next Video. WHICH ASSASSIN / TEMPLAR HAS THE BEST BODY / PHYSICS. In many ( not all ) titles of this franchise we can See the Protagonists upper bodies without clothes. Maybe we can rank their overall fitness Based on their looks. And I know characters like Connor are the strongest when we Talk about absolute strength but that doesnt mean he is the strongest when we Talk about relative strength in relation to his weight and size. PS I Would include Bayek, alexios / cassandra and eivor ( male and female ).
This is a hard one, both of Arno and Edward only have one game, we don't really see much of Edward as an Assassin (because Forsaken doesn't really tell anything about Edward specifically) and Arno was quite young at the end of Unity, so it's (maybe not easy) but plausible to say that we would of grown and matured a lot more in the rest of his life
For legacy I'd say it's a tie for different reasons. Edward did stop the observatory, But Arno did not only retrieve the sword of eden, but rediscovered the apple of eden. He was also Frances main source of information both in and out of the creed. However arno isn't the mentor type. More of the "watch and learn" type, Edward obviously is more of mentor since his name still is remembered in London(tbf we have no games in Egypt after French revolution so we don't know arnos reputation post game I'm France or Egypt
I think Edward is a terrible match up for Arno, but Arno is a much better Assassin and his style, tools, training make him able to easily tackle missions Edward would struggle with.
I really like your videos, and they are also great quality, but what I would personally change is when you put videos of cutscenes or combat (if you get videos off youtube) find those without HUD because it would be nicer too look at cutscenes without subtitles (because we can't hear them), but if you record your own videos i would recomend turning off HUD. I honestly feel like Arno is a really underrated assassin he was already a good swordsman before joining the brotherhood he has the tools for the job he’s the quickest assassin and arguably the stealthiest assassin also much better at parkour
@philosotree5876 Edward would shoot you with a flint knock or have a sword fight. Not really an assassination but you never know who he is. Basically like bucky Barnes. You may see him coming but no one is alive to tell the tale
Great Video In my opinion i would choose Arno, i think the story of unity wasnt the best but Arno as a protagonist was in my opinion one of the best in whole AC Universe But in combat 1v1 i think Edward will win but that will be long battle i think Arnos sword technique are great and he has a lot of weapons that he can use (to escape maybe) Idk thats just my opinion i found both of them one of the most iconic AC characters but i will probably choose Arno.
Speaking of Arno, can we please see you doing a new re-uploaded version of Assassin's Creed Vengeance, there are changes and new things that you should put in it to make it more canon
In my headcanon, I struggle to see Arno as a physically strong character, due to my own game experience with Unity, where I constantly died every couple of minutes. I died more in Unity than in any other AC game. (Freaking enemy guns literally one-hit-kill you in Unity) Of course, challenging gameplay is not reflective of the actual character, but it did leave the impression that Arno is the weakest of the Assassin's to me. Meanwhile, I wrecked the seven seas as Edward, the most badass pirate of history.
I don’t like how some of the points revolve around Arno just not getting more content which is entirely not fair to his side of this battle. But we can argue he did have quite an impact anyways. In the Assassin’s Creed map of where we see whether Assassins or Abstergo hold control of the world. The Assassins have control of France whereas Abstergo still has control of England therefore undermining any assassin efforts that were done in the past.
That can't be counted, since the French brotherhood consist of many people contributing to it, not Arno alone. And the fact that the modern day Abstergo doesn't have control over France does NOT mean that it was Arno's doing.
@@huyvouc9785 It can because it was the French Revolution, a pivotal point if not one of the most pivotal points of France as a nation? Not to mention Arno had business during the Napoleonic Wars too. It does not necessarily mean it was Arno's doing, yes, but it's definitely a factor of influence when the Templars of France are pretty much broken, and we know that the Templars were much stronger off in England.
@@memecliparchives2254 With this logic we can basically say Edward is pretty useless. I mean it's stated itself that he wasn't much help to the Brotherhood namely because he died early but just because some people remember him doesn't necessarily tell tales of all his contributions to the Brotherhood.
Canonically Arno..Edward in combat wasn’t the best fighter…in novel it’s described as such..one of reasons why he died by two random bandits..but he was brave and great strategist but gotta give this to Arno..however I prefer Edward as a character for sure
Ok so several things here: The Creed is not set in stone the Assassin's can have their own interpretations of the Creed and what it means for them. So disregarding the Creed, while not always ideal, isn't a huge deal since it was not made to be an end all be all. It is however good to follow. In terms of combat, this does lend itself to being a better assassin because you can kill someone in a fight and since killing is their forte, it comes down to who can apply the principles better in a death fight over the other. I have to give this one to Edward. Stealth is good but the one major con is that you only get one shot at doing it right and thus the opponent is now aware of you if you mess up. So in a fight in who has to end things quickly I think Edward also wins this for his ruthlessness and since he is older that also helps with experience. Arno may have been one of those characters that did a lot for the world and the Creed but was never recognized for it. More of the unsung hero type.
I say Arno and for one reason he can hold six shots in his pistol okay Edward cannot doge to avoid bullets so if Arno stayed far away with his parkour Edward would lose
Do the Jackdaw vs Morrigan for a video Btw Morrigan clears the Jackdaw I'm sorry, it's just better and more modern with newer tech (for the time of course)
I don't know if you already did this one, but can you do a video of who is the most thrilling or interesting assassin? As who's got the most intense storyline?
Talk about arno, I just reinstalled AC unity but why it crashes every 1 to 15 mins randomly, anyone have any idea how to fix it? been trying many guides but nothing worked
I'm not in love with Black Flag like most people are and I never played Unity. So this match-up is of no consequence to me. But after listening to what Master Assassin has to say about Arno I'm definitely giving my vote of confidence to Edward lol Arno sound like an incredibly stupid character with very little to offer. And to me is a shame because I've always been interested in an AC set in France. But whatever. Considering that without Edward there wouldn't be Connor, yeah, Edward wins.
What is with this whole competition between who’s better, or scarier, or cooler or whatever? They’re ALL great characters with their own unique skill sets and talents. They’re ALL better and worse than each other in some way, but why make it a whole thing? These videos piss me off every time I see them, because they represent everything I hate about the AC community. It’s always a competition and most of you are constantly trying to hype up one story or character while degrading equally good stories and characters simply because they don’t fit your myopic ideal. Unfortunately most of the vocal community is like you and can’t just see the greatness in what each game and character has to offer.
The fact that the combat system changed in Unity so that its much harder screwed over Arno and subsequent protagonists when scaling the assassins against each other 😭 Edward Connor Ezio all run through armies by themselves and here's Arno with five enemies going "uhh SMOKE BOMB!"

In my opinion i would choose Arno, i think the story of unity wasnt the best but Arno as a protagonist was in my opinion one of the best in whole AC Universe
But in combat 1v1 i think Edward will win but that will be long battle i think Arnos sword technique are great and he has a lot of weapons that he can use (to escape maybe)
Idk thats just my opinion i found both of them one of the most iconic AC characters but i will probably choose Arno.
Arno is much more based in stealth speed and climbing
I would say he is the stealthiest assassin the fastest too and the best at climbing too
By your logic Arno is a fucking beast physically, i wreck the shit out enemies and dodge guns and parry everything parryable
If thats the case, that means he can sneak better than ezio and altair, and i dont think thats hardly true. Those two are the og GOATs
If they teamed up, I’m convinced that no one could beat them. They’re the prime example of a hammer and a scalpel.
I mean he even picked a flower for his daughter he deserves the win he got
Finally, Edward didn't get bullied
But he did, he lost against some Spanish captain iirc, canonically he is not one of the best fencers while Arno is.
Because overall, he did nothing for the Assassins and eventually he did almost nothing to grow. Even Connor was more impactful to the world.
That can't be counted, since the French brotherhood consist of many people contributing to it, not Arno alone. And the fact that the modern day Abstergo doesn't have control over France does NOT mean that it was Arno's doing.
@@memecliparchives2254 Stopping the Templar plot in the French Revolution wasn't "almost nothing."
More of the unsung hero type.
jackdaw vs morrigan
Can you do "when I die, the video ends" in farcry 4? I would like to see you revisit kyrat!
I say Arno and for one reason he can hold six shots in his pistol okay Edward cannot doge to avoid bullets so if Arno stayed far away with his parkour Edward would lose
lets be honest, arno and edward would be best friends anyways
Can you do Edward vs Jacob please
Edward vs altaïr: one joined the assassins later in life, while one was weened on the creed
Do the Jackdaw vs Morrigan for a video
Btw Morrigan clears the Jackdaw I'm sorry, it's just better and more modern with newer tech (for the time of course)
I love your content ❤️
You should do ezio vs altair
could you do a Who is the best mentor assassin and who could become it
I think it would be an interesting topic
Ezio or Altair hands down
Maybe Arno vs Connor next
I think Arno was more of a hero of Paris rather than the hero of the Brotherhood
He was both he straight up recoverd the brotherhood from a spy and became a master assassin at age 26
I don't know if you already did this one, but can you do a video of who is the most thrilling or interesting assassin? As who's got the most intense storyline?
that's clearly ezio
@@imtiazadnan4070lol it's danm near his series
Make a video on the Jack the Ripper dlc for assassins creed syndicate
do edward vs shay sometime
Please do geralt of rivia vs all the ac protagonists
Can you do a video about assassin's with shay at the start of ac rogue
Could you do who the stealthiest assassin
*laughs in Welsh*
I won't lie i think edward kenway would probably win against arno
Adewale vs Edward please
Edward vs Shay. Haytham vs Ezio. Ezio vs Shay. Connor vs Shay
How would you write / Rewarite the assassins’s deaths
never enjoyed pirate or naval tales, so i prefer arno. stealth is cool
Do Conor Vs Arno
Have you thought of making content about different games not involving Ubisoft? Perhaps Red Dead Redemption or something like that.
Good opinion
Arnol and edward love alcohol too
BAYEK all day best protagonist in the franchise!
Edward vs Haytham
I think Edward just slaughters Arno in an actual fight, but Arno's definitely more stealthy and is a better traditional assassin.
Edward is my fav.
Arnos better because I'm biased and like his game more.😁
I agree
I mean Edward does uses 4 guns man is pretty good with the swords too
Eivoer vs bayek
Talk about arno, I just reinstalled AC unity but why it crashes every 1 to 15 mins randomly, anyone have any idea how to fix it? been trying many guides but nothing worked
Hear me out Jacob Frye vs Edward
How do I join the discord
I'm not in love with Black Flag like most people are and I never played Unity. So this match-up is of no consequence to me.
But after listening to what Master Assassin has to say about Arno I'm definitely giving my vote of confidence to Edward lol
Arno sound like an incredibly stupid character with very little to offer. And to me is a shame because I've always been interested in an AC set in France. But whatever. Considering that without Edward there wouldn't be Connor, yeah, Edward wins.
I definitely would have to say Arno combat is better than Edward idk why
Edward wins easily i mean vome on arno is struggling against 10 guys where edward has taken out entire man o war crews
Edward, of course.
If unity was better recieved this would be completely different ubisoft acts like that game doesnt exist at all
MasterAssassin did you watch the ac movie?
arno is a better assassin, but edward whould win in a fight
What is with this whole competition between who’s better, or scarier, or cooler or whatever? They’re ALL great characters with their own unique skill sets and talents. They’re ALL better and worse than each other in some way, but why make it a whole thing?
These videos piss me off every time I see them, because they represent everything I hate about the AC community. It’s always a competition and most of you are constantly trying to hype up one story or character while degrading equally good stories and characters simply because they don’t fit your myopic ideal.
Unfortunately most of the vocal community is like you and can’t just see the greatness in what each game and character has to offer.
Soooo I’ve not watched the video but I’ll just make it here l
Better protagonist: Edward
Better Assassin: Arno
