- Idaho is gorgeous! I really enjoyed my short but sweet stay at Sun Valley. It’s been on my mind to visit ever since I was in grade school and a friend would share glowingly about her family trips there. Now I have to return to ski! Super cute vlog. I would enjoy a visit to Sun Valley it’s beautiful. Yes, a more relaxing travel agenda seems about right. I traveled every two weeks for a few days stay. Two years of that travel schedule it about took me out. I’m off of traveling for a while.
I completely enjoy every part of all these travel/hiking park adventures you share! Maybe it’s just your nature, or your calm voice and funny puns that keeps me interested too, but your channel is pretty freakin awesome! I don’t know if safe haven is the correct word but that’s how I feel after I watch your vlog, nothing extra, no drama just 45min of you sharing a glimpse of your life, I totally am living vicariously through it 🤭 one day I have hope to go on adventures like this. Jenn, I have watched you. I am thinking going on 10 years now and to see the person you have become today versus 10 years ago is truly amazing. Your confidence OMG Jen 10 years ago would not have had this much confidence and I’m so proud to see the woman you have become . I find it astounding anyone ever questions solo travel - I did it from 2000 onwards by the bucket load. Tonnes of other solo travellers everywhere. Just can't believe you keep bumping against people who have any interest in judging. Another lovely vlog - luxury rest and indulgence win win
I admire that you travel solo, I sooo wish I could have that courage to do a trip like this by myself, I start to feel so much anxiety. Also, LOVE that you like your stuffed animals, I too am almost 50 and still love stuffed animals, not a damn thing wrong with that! We have to live our lives based on what makes us happy, people will always have something to say, then again, we are living for us, not according to what anyone else thinks we need to be …….

Several years ago when my daughter was a baby I bought myself a stuffed owl pillow. I felt silly but I just loved it so much. I slept with it every night. It was the perfect neck pillow. Fast forward 15 years and my daughter was going to be away without me for several days for the first time ever. I put that owl in her bag. She has slept with it every night since. She said it provided so much comfort. If a stuffy ever catches my eye again I will 100% purchase it without feeling one bit silly.

I'm with you Jen, I travel by myself sometimes and go to concerts by myself when my husband and kiddos don't want to. It's great! You get to make all the decisions where to go and no one is disappointed. It's nice to just have some quiet time and rest. Keep doing you! Thank you for taking us along all your adventures!

I’ve been doing my own thing for 77 years sometimes alone sometimes not. I am alone now but am happy and joyful for each day. Just be happy and laugh and smile as much as you can. I’m from and grew up in the treasure valley in Idaho, and I’ve never been to sun valley though I’ve always wanted to go. I moved to florida- but never made it around my home state. It’s interesting how that happens with people.
I think that’s pretty common. There’s so many places in Illinois I have yet to explore and I’ve been here over 20 years!

As much as i'm sure that hotel worker was just nosey.... Be careful because even the nicest hotels have sketchy people working there. I wouldn't make it public to them that you are traveling alone. I would just say your partner will be in town later in the day and leave it at that. Stay safe!

45. i love that you get yourself stuffed animals. i have a collection myself. i am at the stage in my life where i just don't care, i have done in my life to try and make others happy and it just doesn't work. u will never make every one happy. ever. Amen, friend ...i wish folks didn't have any judgement at all (determined to help more folks to follow suit, why judge? it gets ya no where. all on our own paths, work it however u see fit. love it. enjoy it.) ... either way ...just know that folks are doing their likes and wishes. the room view (ice rink) was just perfect, i would think it was very calming (peaceful). what fun! Interesting that you felt judged. I'm 44 and had done lots of cross country traveling alone and never felt judged for doing things alone. In fact, when my husband was in the military I'd often do things with just my children and I. We were always trying to see things. I have a wonderful husband that alos likes to share exploring with me.
You were not there. It may have been your time to experience it. I’ve worked in west yellow stone before and there was a lot of Russian working that year. Loved them but they were extremely opinionated.
I didn’t feel bad but it was clearly a judgmental comment. I just wanted to share the experience in case anyone could relate
I think it is great that you solo travel but I have a different perspective. I am probably almost 20 years older than you and I soloed traveled for my work in my 20s-40s as well as abroad for work and pleasure. I also backbacked Europe in my 20s (not alone all the time) but I met many female solo travelers and it not unusual for Europeans to see solo women travel. I would think your less than positive encounters were one offs with the personalities you met and not generalize. Also Americans in Europe can well be "American" and that can rub some the wrong way. I don't know if that was your experience but when I look back at some of my behavior back in the day even when I thought I was being culturally sensitive there was room for improvement.
I appreciate you sharing your perspective! I agree it’s best not to generalize when possible. I’ve always loved traveling in Europe, solo or not, from 18 to 38! Hope to go back for more one day, SOOO much to explore 🌎

My sister lived around Sun Valley for a temporary job (about 20 yrs ago) and I kept making jokes about potatoes too 😂😂 Then I went to visit her-wow! What a beautiful state and my absolute FAVORITE skiing place ever. I kept thinking about that throughout your video, so YES go ski there!
I know! I think the locals keep the beauty of Idaho under wraps so people don’t come swarming in, ruining the majesty of it all 😂
I lived in Spokane ages ago. We'd go over into Idaho often. It is such a pretty state. I love the dragon..i would've gotten it to. Reminds me of Toothless.

I went to college in my early thirties not married no kids. I had a couple foreign girls in my class that would voice how odd that was that wasn’t good in there culture. I would brush it off too. They were very unhappy in there life and I had freedom. People hurt and lash out but us different cultures. World is a melting pot for sure!

Why does it hurt y’all? Many adults like stuffed animals, I do. I really don’t get why people care what other people like that doesn’t hurt them. It seems stranger to me to hate watch videos and post rude comments all the time.
