    Put the grooming loop behind the dogs two front legs. I agree, I don’t like putting the loop around the neck due to concerns of trachea injury. Putting the loop behind the front legs keeps the puppy safe, and you will have more control to groom safely.

    Biewer is pronounced like beaver. In German the w has a v sound and this is the breed creator’s last name.

      As someone who know a 🦫 it is always funny to look at the person's face as they try politely figure out what to say next😂 Do they ask for the name of the breed again? Do the say what they think they heard you say😂 sometimes you don't want to explain so the easiest answer is to say that it's a breed similar to a yorkie 🙈😋

    That's my Harley ❤❤❤
    Well for her first groom, she seems a bit antsy, but you have brought her a long way...
    My baby girl came home like a brand new pup.
    Keep up the awesome work.....
    Thanks for looking after our Fur Babies❤

    Their hair is much more difficult than the regular Yorkie. I have a 3 pounder , I like her hair long but a lot of work ! It is very difficult to work with . Don’t knock it until YOU try it !

      Great job on keeping your fur baby long! I have many clients who prefer that look as well but I can only do this if the dog is maintained in between groomings. Thanks for watching and for your comment 🐾

    What no. Clipper were you using on her? My Pip is roughly the same age and I'm going to have her cut but I don't want her shaved too short.. that length looked lovely.

      @k9clipz-doggroomingtips7422  2 года назад +2

      I used a 3/4" blade on her this grooming. Yes it's a nice length, it cleans up the hair nicely but still leaves some fluff! Lol

    35 min of unfounded panic.
    Is that common amongst puppies?

    • @k9clipz-doggroomingtips7422
      @k9clipz-doggroomingtips7422  Год назад +2

      Yes it is quite commonly seen in puppies who are groomed for the first time when they are a bit older. Ideally a puppies first grooming experience should be when they are around 3 months old.

    • @Jenny2O
      @Jenny2O 8 месяцев назад

      It would be less panic if the irresponsible owners desensitized the puppies to grooming but either way the puppy will act this way no matter what on the first few grooming because it’s in a new environment a new person ect

    • @Jenny2O
      @Jenny2O 8 месяцев назад

      & I recommend you watching Harleys next grooming video she is wayyy relaxed doesn’t act up in the bath & especially when the blow dryer comes out .
      It’s in her playlist it’s called “ Harleys Progression” something like that

    • @k9clipz-doggroomingtips7422
      @k9clipz-doggroomingtips7422  Год назад +1

      Lol. Yes it takes a lot of patience to begin grooming. Puppies can be stubborn but if you are persistent and consistent you will get better and they will respond accordingly. Just remember I started grooming over 16 years ago so it wasn't always this! Good luck 🐾🐶

    • @Jenny2O
      @Jenny2O 8 месяцев назад

      That’s the problem right there that you stopped grooming ur dog so now you reinforce your dog to act this way when grooming because now it knows that if I act this way the human will stop & the next time you groom your dog it will act worse because it’ll remember that last time u stopped grooming so now ur doggy will act worse & longer because it’ll think you’ll stop again so let me act up longer . Next time don’t stop it’s not like the dog is in pain they’re just stubborn & sneaky they’re smart people just baby them

      @Jenny2O I stopped after we were both tired of fighting. I did not stop forever. He is now 1 and he is getting more manageable every haircut. I do it myself to keep him away from choke collars and cruel groomers.

      Oh man ! If you’re saying this dog is more well behaved than your dog I hope you’re desensitizing your dog to being groomed & having a stern voice with it will help and Ofcourse not stopping mid grooming just because your dog is acting up because they’re not in pain or traumatized they’re all just a stubborn sneaky smart ball of fluff lol 😅

    Would a happy hoodie help next time for her? She seemed quite traumatized by the dryer. Also, with such a squirmed, are you ever worried about accidentally stabbing a dog with the scissors?

    • @k9clipz-doggroomingtips7422
      @k9clipz-doggroomingtips7422  2 года назад +2

      Yes I actually have started using something for the puppy's ears and should be showing up in my more recent videos for all of the dogs I groom onwards!
      Of course there is always that concern but with anything, the more experience you have the easier it is to read the dogs movements to prevent any injury.
      Thanks for your comment and thanks for watching.

    @dogsbylogan … if you’d like to see someone who won’t traumatize your puppy. Or @girlwiththedogs.
    My puppy is 11 mos and has been groomed 8 times. She’s petrified. I started her early to help her get comfortable. Groomers like this scarred her so bad she won’t even let me give her a bath. When she was little it was fun for us… she would play in the water. Now she’s like this. Because of groomers like this.
    A friends dog was clipped 3 times too short in the belly and he cried all night, needed a cone, and needed pain meds. There is no reason to rush puppies through this or be so rough. If they trust you they won’t fight you.
    This is abusive.

      Harley has been coming for just over years now, and since her first groom, she has been much better, and you can see this in her videos. Some dogs just don't enjoy the process of being groomed, but over time, become much more relaxed. 🐾🐶

      You should watch Harley’s next grooming video she is way calm well behaved she’s just confused cause it’s the puppy’s FIRST GROOMING APPOINTMENT.
      check the 2nd grooming video on her playlist it says her name “Harleys grooming Progession “ something like that before commenting this bs dogs are smart and stubborn & your dog knows it can get away with anything if it just cries & act up & the dumb human will just do as I say .
