A couple of ways to improve the teaching aspect of your video. Most of the detailed clipping was blocked by your arm. Repositioning the camera might help. Also, the music masked any beneficial comments to may have said. Lastly, you captured my interest by saying you were cutting a very shy/nervous Yorkie, but within the first few minutes you said she was very well behaved and was no problem to cut. I was hoping you were cutting a Yorkie that was a challenge, like my Yorkie.
I don’t know is it just me or what I can’t watch these groomers. It looked like she was getting soap in her eyes. She didn’t avoid her eyes at all and those blow dryers are just so petrifying to these poor little dogs. It’s like they show no mercy.
When you’re washing a dogs face you have to scrub around the eyes good because that’s where tear stains get stuck to the skin. A dog’s face is the dirtiest thing on their body next to the feet because they use their face to sniff, you know, cuz their nose is there. All sorts of dirt and bacteria lye on the ground. As far as the blow dryer, they have to get dried somehow. If we let them air dry, they get matted and because they are Yorkies and they cannot be kennel dried per PetSmart policy. Also, you’re talking about a DOG not a HUMAN CHILD. Dogs don’t have the same feelings nor do they care about what humans care about. Don’t are not built like humans and they DEFINITELY don’t have the same mentality as humans. They understand they aren’t being hurt which is why they can cuddle you right after a grooming. Please, if you don’t know what you’re talking about, educate yourself instead of placing opinion based comments instead of facts
1, the video is sped up, no one is being rough. 2, dogs get washed the same amount of times as you would wash your hair. It’s the same concept except dogs are dirtier. 3, please dissect the video properly before you start to assume. There’s also a way to slow down the video so you can understand it better 🙄🤦🏾
@@TheLuvOfDogs I have a Yorkie with the same nature as this wee bundle ❤️I use a facecloth to wash and rinse his face 👍 Watching the video I just wanted to take it away 😢
Sorry to inform you but a wash rag is not properly cleaning his face. A dogs face is the dirtiest thing on their body next to their feet. Think about it, their face is constantly sniffing the ground in the grass where bugs, dirt and all bacteria live. That’s like washing your hair with a wash cloth, it doesn’t get it clean. Your dogs face grows hair like our heads do. You have to scrub it, not wipe it with a wash cloth. Best of luck to you. 🙏🏾
Oh wow.. i never sprayed my dogs head and face like that, I would use a cone and just gently rub your dogs face with your hands with water. Eyes and ears are very sensitive. Eyes can be damaged and when ears are wet especially with dogs with flappy ears, they’ll be yeast.
@@marlenatempelers8414 water doesn’t cause yeast, allergies do and poor gut health does. Also, rubbing water in the dogs face doesn’t get it clean. The hose penetrates the dirt so the soap can clean it properly. Think about it, do you rub water in your hair to wash it?
@@wandaleslie8079 so, dogs go swimming all the time with water in their ears. The majority of ear infections in dogs are not stemming from water in their ears. Yes, that’s what a vet will tell you it’s from but I urge you to do your own research. Also, when washing a dog‘s face, dogs tend to close their eyes, which is what you do when you wash your face, you close your eyes. But in order to get the tears stains and the dirt from around their eyes, you have to wash their face properly. I can’t wash their face properly and cover their eyes. Which is why dogs close their eyes naturally.
you need to be gentle with the dog. The way he was spraying water in the dog's face, for sure water must have entered the ears. That's not the way for a groomer to handle a small dog. It looked like he had to take a flight the way he was rushing with the grooming.
Couldn't stand watching how you handled this poor dog when you shampooed and especially running her..very rough..noway would I bring my yorkie to you. Poor pippy!!!!
I don't get this comment. The bath looks perfectly fine. It is sped up, so maybe that is your issue... idk. My yorkie likes the body massage during his shampoo. I would have to qualms about using this groomer.
You seemed a little rough with the dog. When shampooing you didn't shield her eyes from soap and water. Also what about talking with the dog, Especially with the nails. a little encouragement there the noise frightens them. For you video. too much chatter in the background
This was SO hard to watch. If anyone wonders WHY so many dogs are seriously injured or WORSE at grooming salons this is a good example. I am NOT knocking Petsmart. Our daughter got a job as a bather there at 16. They sent her to grooming school at 18 and she worked there just over the required 2 years afterward. She has used her grooming exoerience from Petsmart to work at other salons, had her OWN business for awhile, as a side gig or part of her job responsibilities now as a Vet Tech for 18 years. Stop gaslighting others in the comments about how ROUGH you are with this dog, blaming it on video speed. No maam. You were way TOO rough with both the bathing and the blow drying. Don't think I didn't see you grab that poor dog by the lip more than once. That's NOT how you were taught to scruff under the chin. You pulled the hair and lip on the SIDE of her mouth MORE than once which is incredibly painful. Not ONCE did you give her any positive reinforcement, praise OR affection. While that isn't a requirement, it's the sign of a GOOD groomer that CARES. NEVER put anything around a Yorkies neck. Yorkies are prone to tracheal damage and collapse because their trachea bones are EXTREMELY fragile. A groomer should NEVER use a NECK LOOP improperly. The loop should NEVER be around a yorkies neck, it should be looped behind one front leg ALWAYS. (if you have a yorkie and this isn't a discussion you've had with your groomer, HAVE IT NOW). Sadly many yorkies get injured or worse every year this way. You showed ZERO care getting water in her ears. Again do NOT gaslight people and tell them well dogs ears get wet when they are swimming. Not only did you NOT DRY them out, you never even CLEANED them. You justify the repeated shampoos because "dogs get dirty". Except their EARS ? Ear cleaning is included in a standard groom and at the very LEAST you COULD HAVE DRIED THEM OUT. JUST because the shampoo is tear free doesn't MEAN it's OK to SCRUB IT AROUND their EYES. It's tearfree in the EVENT it gets into their eyes, as opposed to PUTTING IT THERE intentionally. You can absolutely get a dog's face VERY clean with a washcloth, shampoo and gentle massaging if you aren't in a RUSH. I have 2 yorkies. There's ZERO chance I would EVER let anyone handle them in this manner. Especially for a service I am paying for. MOST yorkie owners I know, feel exactly the same way. If given a choice and I NEEDED to find a groomer, I would much rather get a bad groom from a groomer that treated my dogs with TLC than a groomer that turns out a FANTASTIC groom while treating my dog like someone else's laundry. IF you don't delete this comment but I WILL be surprised. Anna Marie, I hope your new groomer treats you kindly and appreciates your amazing patience and temperment.
@@justmythoughts2962 I’m not gonna delete your comment. I have no need to. But as I stated, the video is sped up. You, as a watcher can easily slow the video down.
I wished my little Yorkie was that calm, she does not like bathing at all
Can't see you cutting the feet your arm was in the was in the way. nice groom!
@@charlenecasucci1143 sorry about that thank you!
Could you be any rougher wow and she's so sweet honestly how many times do you have to shampoo this poor dog and the way you do it
1, the video is sped up, no one is being rough. 2, dogs get washed the same amount of times as you would wash your hair. It’s the same concept except dogs are dirtier. 3, please dissect the video properly before you start to assume. There’s also a way to slow down the video so you can understand it better 🙄🤦🏾
A real sweetheart !!!
Spraying water into its face isn't very smart 😡wee things petrified 😢
She doesn’t like grooming, most yorkies don’t. And if I don’t wet her face it can’t get washed 🤷🏾.
@@TheLuvOfDogs I have a Yorkie with the same nature as this wee bundle ❤️I use a facecloth to wash and rinse his face 👍
Watching the video I just wanted to take it away 😢
Sorry to inform you but a wash rag is not properly cleaning his face. A dogs face is the dirtiest thing on their body next to their feet. Think about it, their face is constantly sniffing the ground in the grass where bugs, dirt and all bacteria live. That’s like washing your hair with a wash cloth, it doesn’t get it clean. Your dogs face grows hair like our heads do. You have to scrub it, not wipe it with a wash cloth. Best of luck to you. 🙏🏾
@@TheLuvOfDogs it's not a wipe down with a cloth.
All I know is I wouldn't be leaving a dog of mine in your care 👌
Ma’am, I don’t care, you clearly don’t wash your dog properly. 🤷🏾 that’s your problem not mine 🤣🤣
OMG that poor dog had that disgusting stuff in his mouth!!!! Thank God you looked inside Marybeth. Good job!!!
Oh wow.. i never sprayed my dogs head and face like that, I would use a cone and just gently rub your dogs face with your hands with water.
I can’t stand it 5:01
Hope the little dog makes it though the bath to get a hair cut...lol
😮
She looks like my Bodie an he runs the house 😊
Oops wrong channel!!! 😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 this tickled me lol

Why do american people say „aks“ instead of ask?
I'm American. I don't say "aks", I say "ask".
Nope definitely not. My Yorkie hated the blow dryer in the face so I had my way doing the shampoo and blow dry.
I feel your to fast and you dont cover her ears or eyes.
@@wandaleslie8079 cover her eyes and ears for what? Also, the video is sped up…..🤦🏾
@@TheLuvOfDogs they can get ear infections.
And you wouldnt like soap in your eyes.
@@TheLuvOfDogs ok you do what you do. I have two yorkies and I go slow and easy. To each his on🤷♀️
You do a great jod👍
you need to be gentle with the dog.
You can always watch someone else 🤷🏾
Go away ! She is not hurting that puppy.
Then why are you here? Take your dog to your own groomer
I don't get this comment. The bath looks perfectly fine. It is sped up, so maybe that is your issue... idk. My yorkie likes the body massage during his shampoo. I would have to qualms about using this groomer.
You’re neurotic. She’s not doing anything wrong.
You seemed a little rough with the dog. When shampooing you didn't shield her eyes from soap and water. Also what about talking with the dog, Especially with the nails. a little encouragement there the noise frightens them. For you video. too much chatter in the background
My yorkie would have a heart attack and die in this groomers hands.
The dramatics of this comment is crazzzyyy 😂
At the very WORST, not to mention an incredible amount of poor, dangerous grooming habits.
@@justmythoughts2962 thank you for the view and comment
Omg soap all in the dog eyes!! This is why I start doing my doggies hair. Smh. 😳 I’m cringing !!
