  • The snowstorm arrived in earnest overnight in Colorado, which woke up to several inches of snow across the metro area, more than a foot in northern Colorado and more than two feet in areas of the foothills.

      Colorado doesn't have normal yes March is the most snowy month but Colorado weather so unpredictable u never know what u gonna get

      @Mike's Bike's Both my parents were from Wisconsin. Vacationed in Colorado in 52, moved here 53. The winter of 61 was -16 ,12 inches of snow
      They thought they were back in Wisconsin that winter. I Lived through the
      CHRISTMAS EVE 82 Blizzard! Good fun.

      @Mike's Bike's nice and sunny right now, no wind all snow will melt in solid ice tonight. Driving is a challenge on side roads. More snow Tuesday night into Wednesday morning. Only a inch or 2.

      When I grew up----------Channel 9 was ABC------------Channel 7, was CBS -----------Channel 4 was NBC, & channel 2 was independent. ---------We got our very 1st tV in 1953, a Crosley 12 " TV, & the channels came on at 0600, & went off at midnight. ------------it was not until I was in 7th grade, that TV became 24 hrs. --------------------WolfSky9, 74 y/o

    I'm in sterling and we have had rain and snow. It snows for a while then it starts raining pretty hard, then it starts snowing again.

    Just moved to Oklahoma City from Westminster, Colorado. Out of 15 years of living in Colorado, I've never seen this big of a storm hit the foothills.
    Last time we got up to 2 feet was in 2008 or 2009, around mid to late October.
    Too bad I moved, I woulda loved to experience this blizzard.
    We've been getting heavy rain from this same storm, but no snow.

      Watch it come down at 2" a hour , 20 in down already
      All night Blizzard ahead.
      Christmas of 82 was 28.5 to 35 inches of snow.

      Ah most of your water is being evaporated at Palo Verde NPS. Is that the best use of your water instead on rebuilding your acquifer? Shut it down and figure out how to reduce demand.

    Several hours into morning

    Damn, I didnt know it was that bad.. I was playing flight simulator 2020 and the visibility at KDEN was ZERO or close to zero with heavy icing. Took me 2 tries just to line up with the runway correctly. I bet the actual airport in Denver was closed.

      @@KB-ke3fi haha. Yeah, I’m very familiar with snow and blizzards and snowstorms where it can be very difficult to drive in the Midwest but I’ve never seen anything like this. Mountain storms are way more fierce then in the Midwest.
