So sweet. I was blessed with being able to take care of my beautiful Momma in her last days and there with my family as she took her last breath. I so miss her but am thankful that I was there. I played music for her as well. So glad she had Jesus with her then and now for eternity.

This movie came out the year I gave birth to my daughter as a single mom. I loved the movie and at the same time was frightened at the thought of not being around to raise my girl into adulthood. I was blessed to have a village of loving and fun girlfriends like Bette who always looked out for my girl. Not quite 2 weeks ago, we lost our first village girlfriend unexpectedly. My daughter and I are heartbroken and in disbelief. My village and I are blessed to have seen my daughter through age 18 and beyond. We love and will miss you, S. 💔

Bette Midler is always one of my favorite singers. I love this version of “Glory Of Love.” But this scene in Beaches had in tears. So sad Hilary passed away unexpectedly in this movie.
In the novel Bertie (not Hillary) dies of cancer, and CC moves in to be with her until she dies.
I liked the movie much more than the novel, but they changed the plot so much that at times it looks like a different story altogether
