- Today we wanted to share a quick training session with June! Our grandsons are visiting and we are having a great time at the farm!
Watch our videos to learn about draft horses- horse logging, horse farming, and horse training! Jim uses Belgian, Percheron, and Suffolk horses to do work on the farm and in the woods. June has now entered the family home and the tradition is on going. I suspect most of the horses have been in the kitchen at some point !
June is such a sweet little filly , she is well behaved .
Seeing the grandchildren , takes me back to my youth , we grew up at my grandfathers and he had all the animals, we had everything and it was the best of times !

😂😄🤣I remember that time! It was either Duke or Earl I think! Bree got to go inside last year while the grandchildren were there. Then Jim took the granddaughters for a ride on Lady and let Bree follow along.

That was very nice. Love that the grandkids have the extra energy and interest for Skippy and the kittens.
June is very teachable. Every time Jim takes a foal into the kitchen I can't stop myself imagining her bumping something, spooking, and causing a scatter, along with slipping over on Brenda's immaculate floor. But it doesn't happen. Such an amenable sweetie. She seems to totally trust Jim already.

Love how you're showing June all around, introducing her to the places and things she'll start to encounter more often now. Well, maybe not the kitchen so much, but you do seem to want all the horses to know that you and Brenda have a nice stall, too!

A great respect and trust between June and Jim has been quickly established . Walking and leading a 2 plus month old filly up and down the veranda and then through a confined space in Brenda's Kitchen and in and out of the trailer is fantastic. We need to give Jim Gordon a big High Five for his wonderful and calm demeanor and training methods. Also thanks to Brenda for holding open the screen door for June and Jim to enter and exit the house. Have a wonderful visit with your grandchildren.

I dare to say that June is doing better about going up on the porch & other activities than Bree was. Also "Juney" jumped right on in the trailer like she had done it a million other times. Very impressive & it also helps when she has a kind, gentle, loving handler!

That’s a beautiful foal.

June is learning quite quickly to follow you around to new and different places. I get all of the reasoning for teaching her to follow you as lessons for situations she may face in the future. What could you possibly have for her to do in your house as she gets older?

We once owned a horse with a RG brand. When asked about it my wife would say it stood for Real Good. June could wear that brand. She isn’t going to be real good, she already is real good.
