If it was a predator attack, I wonder if it happened when she was a baby. It seems like a rip that long would be about 18 inches on a baby but on an adult horse it’s over 2 feet long, and also very high off the ground. Just a theory.

Have you ever put yourself in the horse's " shoes" tamed or wild? He sees the human at feeding time, training time, maybe a little hanging out time, and that's it. The human suddenly appears at a certain time, and then poof, gone. The horse never really gets to know about a human. This is gonna be an awesome adventure !!!! I feel better already❤

Whatever you achieve, then that's what is possible & showing the training whether you win or not is the important part.

Hey Ryan my family just got a very green horse as my parents are elderly my sister and I will be doing a majority of the training/riding. Looking forward to using the techniques I’ve watched you use and translate them to our horse!

She gives me boss mare energy… but in a good way. Some of my best horses have been boss mares since I know they will always do anything for me now that I earned their respect. It took me a while to earn it ( especially the first one but I was also a teenager when I got her so I was learning)

She seems to have a great personality, confident and calm. Nice conformation, too. Looks like a great choice, Ryan.

She is a beauty! I'm no expert, but I think her gate is amazing. From certain angles, it looks like she is standing out in the snow.

My first thought before you showed the closeup of the scar was she might have been savaged by a stallion, but that scar is crazy, if a mountain lion had her on the run I could see it grabbing her in its claws and then her showing it a pair of heels.

Maggie. The scar appears deep and wide like a bear claw, but bears have four. She must have been young, but not too young. Maybe her curiosity and confidence get her into trouble. She's amazing.

The horse is trying to understand you as much as you are it. Seeing how you react to things, investigating you, trying to communicate with you.

So looking forward to seeing her progress over the coming weeks.
I love the name Maverick. I’m biased because that was the name of my first horse who was a character and lived to be 36 years old.
Hope you get some better sleep tonight.

when i first opened this video i was expecting something bad to happen while you were in there with her because of many videos i see like this the person who is doing the exact same thing, and they will be hitting the horse or something like that and i love that what i was expecting to happen went away instantly and i love that !!! you did an amazing job on this and i would love to see more!!
