Of all the youtube channel, I've listening and trying to understand wtf is going on with this SBF. And this channel has provided the best explanation ever.
I worked for a company were the Executives told us, that the industry had a bad year and profits were low. Meanwhile the company invested 8.000.000 € in a new company building that was calculated against profits for that year. To make the story short. They told us in a company wide conference that no one would get a raise the following year. Meanwhile 2 of our 3 executive leaders have an own private yet. And the same month as the announcment they all bought new luxurious cars (same one as they already had but new years model).
Highly depends, the engine aspect on its own doesn't get Unity "that much" money, and many people that proclaim loudly to leave Unity are smaller devs and indie studios. There is a huge breach of trust and uncertainty of the future of pricing/licensing, and it's reasonable to look for alternatives as a big company - but on a technical level, Unity is still technically the best tool for a lot of games and companies already have existing tools, workflows and experience for the engines they are already using. I'd expect the next quaterly balance sheet to not look that great either - but more than monetary loss, if many people really ended up leaving, there would be other effects which can make it harder to recommend to beginners in the future. Currently, from the available engines, Unity has the most community driven resources and tutorials. Communities on Reddit and Discord are also quite active for people that seek help. It's a huge plus for the use of the engine - when people encounter issues or bugs, or try to solve technical challenges, they often write about it, make videos, etc. Others look for the same issue, find solutions to it, and it minimizes frustrations and helps efficiency. I'm pretty sure the amount of people switching to different engines is not significant enough to really affect that, for now.
They'll never let him get 30 years. That would set FAR too dangerous a precedent for the rest of these scumbags who are all up to some sort of shenanigans.
Talking about the housing situation it’s absolutely crazy to me that I make six figure salary and I still can’t afford a home. Now, I am working on my credit which got wrecked during college. But I also have no credit card debt. I technically can afford a home it’s just I want to keep the mortgage to 30% or lower of take home pay while still living 20 minutes from the city. And I can’t find a modest 4 bedroom home cheap enough. But still. It’s ridiculous that housing has gotten so expensive that i would be paying over 30% on housing even though I make more than double the median salary. I genuinely feel terrible for people who are not in my position who make even less than me because I’m not rich by any means but I thought that I would graduate college, get a good job, and be able to buy a home for my family and that hasn’t happened yet.
Your explanation of the "houses should be getting cheaper but because nobody sells they arent" was great, but then you followed that by suggesting that the great financial crash happened because of high interest rates, which was silly. it was the crash that caused low interest rates
interest rates are fucked, they should have been higher on loans and on ROI imo this is why we end up in this crazy scenario. Too many people are living above what their actual income can provide, people put it on debt then we asked ourself how did we get into this mess. Make investing more profitable for the investor, stop glorifying taking debt, and live in adequation with your income.

Hey Erik, my favorite color is blue or red or something. You probably won’t see this but you did a very good job on this one, the Paint sections were very funny :)
One thing I never understood, how could Unity legally Change their terms of service after a game has already been completed? That seems to be illegal on its face correct?
You are correct, that would never fly in court or anywhere else. Realistically speaking, the former CEO just tries to push this "you won't own anything and you would gladly pay for that" thing, and he doesn't give a shit what happens to Unity. He's like an ideal IRL reference of term "Corpo-rat". What's scary is that they only have to succeed with pushing this kind of shit *once* - afterwards it will just became a new standard. Same as false advertising (for example, Warcraft 3 Reforged clearly used the "improved cut-scenes, changed story" but there was literally none of that) for games and releasing barely-functioning game - those are just "normal" now when previously would be considered a heavy fuck-ups or even law-suit material.
Basically in 2021 they added a sneaky clause in the TOS that allows them to alter the TOS within certain parameters for games made on Unity past that point, games before the TOS change, basically before 2021, are safe to my understanding but any game made during or after 2021 can have their TOS altered at any point with very little restriction because of that clause, and because you signed the TOS saying you're ok with the fact that your terms could be changed I honestly doubt they would be legally responsible. You signed a bad contract essentially, its on you.
Honestly, part of it is just for the company's own protection and I get that - I'm taking a financial accounting class and I got a peek into just how badly a rogue employee can mess up a company they work for when the company's not prepared for it. But surely there's a line that can be crossed for some companies where the security becomes excessive, no?
Riccitiello is something else...He's literally saying in, plain english, That people can't think clearly in high intensity situations, we need to take advantage of them.

Get ready for the headline, "SBF keeled himself"
Please god join and make good posts to the Reddit. Last weeks were just too good with real quality posts that we just need more
Orange and Purple like the sunset
I'm still waiting for Dr. Carbonation's Carbo-Nation Report, where we talk about all things starchy and carb-loaded that go well with carbonated drinks.
Holy crap. I completely forgot you're still making content.

Love that Ace Attorney music
Bruh that depiction of him in court makes him look like a frog! 😂😂
"Sam Bankman-Fried." Do not give him the honor of using his self-apppointed moniker.
Blue's my favourite colour :) 7:27
Looks like the prosecutor is coming up from behind and giving it to Sam like dog. 😂
Hey Big A, i would appreciate it, if you could include the names of the articles that you are referencing in your videos. Sometimes I want to read up on the things being shown and it would be really helpful. Thx, for the vids as always.
Hey Erik, my favorite color is blue or red or something. You probably won’t see this but you did a very good job on this one, the Paint sections were very funny :)

Atrioc really using Pokemon mystery dungeon music for this vid 🔥🔥🔥🔥
One thing I never understood, how could Unity legally Change their terms of service after a game has already been completed? That seems to be illegal on its face correct?
im not sure either but them trying is telling enough of their intentions
yes, there was a push to report unity to the federal trade commission because of this fact.
If Unity actually wouldve gone through with their plan, they would have been sued into the ground, if that gives you some perspective.
You signed a bad contract essentially, its on you.
i die a little inside every time you say beizhing. its bay-JING with a hard J like jingle.
Love the Mystery Dungeon music, Eric
High security companies like Boeing have tracked their employees every move for years and years now.
"Hey guys, sorry, I have to reload my credit card so I can reload my gun..." lmao
