The Veronica series (starring Bree) is so different than the other series that you've done. Love watching both Bree and Veronica gain confidence in the teacher / student roles in each episode. Locations are always changing too so the sights and smells for both dogs are a new adventure each day. Rocks, trees, water, bridges, wildlife, so many fun things to explore. Even though this is Veronica's story, I'm so glad to see snippets of Inertia too. Since we watched her grow up, we will always need our Inertia fix.
Thank you!!! You may feel like your audience is thinking that you are not a competent trainer when you show us the real struggles of training a PUPPY like Veronica and not just success. Nothing could be farther from the truth. Your real time training validates us and our struggles and keep us going instead of giving up thinking, “Well he got his dog completely trained in 5 minutes, so I obviously don’t know what I’m doing.” You are my superhero as I move forward training my puppy. THANK YOU!!! More, please. Oh and 👍 Bree.
I really appreciate that you’re letting her bark and letting us see her bark but modulating the audio so it’s the background of a voice over and we don’t have to listen to her bark at full volume… I think my dog appreciates it too :)
Wow her barking has already improved so much! Her settling around that gardener really shows how far she's come already. And I know some people perfer shorter videos but I love this series and how you show the whole training session (when to take steps back and what that looks like, how to build up to the behaviors you want etc.)
As an outdoorsy person, this series is my dream come true! Recently took my puppy on his first camping trip and road trip and we both learned a ton! Would love to hear some tips for adapting road trips to be more dog-friendly. Large trips like yours can be difficult/intimidating to plan. Keep up the great work :)
I love how you explain why you do what you do while training, especially when you modify things subtly and we may not have picked up on that!
I used to work in early childhood and we taught our teachers to tell the children what they can do and not what the shouldn’t do!! Just like the training of dogs!!
I’ve thought this all along, watching Zak. So many parallels with good teachers!
I love that Bree is becoming her own dog trainer in her own way. Love her sense of humor and her way of handling things! Above all I love how both of you work as a team to be able to travel across the country while training a dog. Keep up the good work!!. Regards from Chile!
Wenaaa
Veronica is so stinkin' adorable!
Love this training series--all the different situations and such beautiful scenery.
There's nothing better than seeing a happy dog out in nature! Paired with learning on how to teach our pups to be well behaved dogos... Just an all around amazing series guys, great work!!👏😍
Yesch
This is a fun series. One suggestion-When you trained Inertia and had videos on that, we saw the untrained dog, and the sort of trained dog. Then, Boom, she was a fully trained model K-9. It’s that polish that I missed in your videos and what I miss in my own dog training. I only every get skills 85 percent trained and can’t seem to close the loop. So, as you are training and filming with Veronica, if you are able to find a way to capture training of that 15 percent, l would really enjoy that. 🙂. Also, Veronica has this little whitish beard on her chin which is just so adorable 🥰
Agreed!! I'd love some tips and tricks on polishing off those skills, especially for when the dog knows the skill but finds it too boring to work at
Yes this! This is every dog training media everywhere!
Veronica is amazing! She is such a "normal" dog... with behaviors we all deal with and aren't pre-trained for filming like most dog training videos. Thanks Zac & Bree!
Loving this series, great opportunities to show real time, real world training!
If you guys find that you enjoy traveling, you could consider submissions for training help and select some dogs/people to go visit for 2 weeks and do a series on each of them.
Watching you teach Bree how to train Veronica is so beneficial because seeing how's supposed to go from a seasoned trainer, and seeing how it's going from a trainer in training are two incredibly helpful perspectives when teaching US how to teach our dogs 🐕 Thank you so much for this series
Your videos have been very helpful. I have a 4-month-old wire fox terrier and was literally getting nowhere with her until I started following you on YT. She is our second wire fox and our first was so chill and easy to train. This one came with a defiant attitude and stubborn will. But things are dramatically better since I started rewarding good behavior instead of scolding bad. Loving the adventure!
And loving the real-time training. It is very helpful.
I have a 12 week old beagle puppy and your videos have been invaluable in preparing for her, and our early days of training. I really appreciate that you talk through your thinking and why you make the judgement calls you do. In the past I’ve watched other dog trainers and they say what they’re doing, but if it didn’t work for me the way it worked for them, I wasn’t sure how to adjust my approach.
Thank you for helping me better understand my puppy and my older dog.
And I’m really enjoying seeing how you’re working across the country. It’s fun to see all your tools at work and the scenery isn’t bad either.
Thank you for the amazing advice!! I'm glad that positive trainers like you exist in this world
I so look forward to each episode of the teaching journey and how lovely too to see the diverse beautiful scenery of America.
Bree is the best. 👍 Veronica reminds me so much of my dog. When she was younger she would bark at everything too. She's much better now, she will do most things for a good treat. 🐾
I LOVE your adventure series!!! Here in the mountains of WV we just never know when a white tail deer is going to wonder out of the woods or if a flock of turkeys is going to roost in a tree by your house. We also have had run ins with a grey fox. Listened to a parliment of ticked off Barred owls hooting and screaming. Our neighbors cows are always escaping out of their pasture and the neighborhood dogs like to stop in for a sniff every once in a while. Oh, I forgot to mention a close call with a red tail hawk, several run ins with skunks and also possums. Wildlife dust ups? Yup it happens here.
At 7mos my German Shepherd pup will leave a doe w/young spotted fawn (2 of them) alone at just 20' feet away. Many of your suggestions on impulse control have helped achieve that.
Love this series. You guys are an inspiration, you make me want to take off in a van and travel. Watching Veronica’s progress with Bree is very helpful and reassuring, and Inertia is a star as always. Keep up the adventure - the scenery and wildlife too.
I'm definitely enjoying this series.
I feel the same way about dog barking. Expecting a dog to never bark is every bit as unethical as taking a person's voice away, not allowing them to speak, sing, and express themselves vocally.
"Or your pencil's on fire"???? I must've missed a video. This definitely seems like an inside joke.
I love it when Bree gives Zak this look like "You better not even think of using physical correction on my dog." 😄
👍🏻Bree! 👍🏻 Bree is doing a great job, as usual, in everything she does - videography, co-hosting, and now pup training and acting.
I'm loving the scenery in this series! 💙💚💙
Zak just reminded me of an uncle! 😀 This uncle trained the family cats to come when he growled "Scat!" and run away when he called "Here kitty, kitty, kitty." He claimed it was a tactic to keep people from being able to steal the cats; but I don't think he cared one way or the other whether those cats stayed or left. I believe he was just having fun with us. My uncle was a dog trainer who used aggressive practices, until late in life, when he learned to work with animals rather than shocking them into submission.
Good job, Veronica!!!! Not barking at the man right outside your window is a HUGE step for this sweet girl!
Super Blood Moon Lunar Eclipse! Ah, so this video must've been filmed on May 15th, almost 3 months ago! I hope the rest of your trip to Alaska was amazingly beautiful and fun! 😃
I would love for you to stop my house, or even just my town, where I could meet up with you in a neutral location since that would probably be more comfortable for you! I don't really expect that, but you did playfully ask. 😉
As someone that lives full time in an Rv this series has been great. 😂 trying to train a dog when their environment constantly changes is definitely different.
LOVE this series, it's been so great seeing Bree grow as a trainer and I love the changing scenery. I'd like to see more around how you manage two dogs in a more general sense (feeding them together/how to manage any resource guarding, giving them separate time etc.) and I'm dying to know Veronica's breeds!!
Totally! Thumbs WAY up for Bree! 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍😁
And I still think it would be awesome if you could arrange to meet with maybe some of your Patreon people or something like that and do some training with some other dogs while you're traveling. Really enjoying the new series!
I’ve been watching for a couple of weeks now and I want to say I like seeing Bree in the videos with Zak getting first hand people training too.
You guys are a cute couple who seem really to enjoy the journey of life together and I’m very thankful that you’re sharing so much of your lives with us. God Bless you two, and three and four.
I LOVE this series! I’m training my husky/Australian shepherd puppy (6mo) and about to have an Australian shepherd puppy (8 wks). This series and the series on training Inertia is invaluable.
"What do you think, does it taste ancient?" 😂😂
Thanks for making a series to show the reality of training with positive enforcement & the time it actually takes. I've recently realised how so many of the dog trainers who seem to have magical powers, suddenly getting dogs to walk to heel - they're using slip and prong collars :( It's great to see positive enforcement works, it just takes time and patience.
I absolutely love, love, love this series. For a lot of reasons.
The traveling in a trailor with the dogs in a beautiful country, wich is a big dream of mine.
Because of the constant changing envirement, you're facing a lot more challenges than if you would be training at home.
And the fact that we see also Bree training. Another person can do some things just a litle bit different.
You two are a great team and I'm glad we can (sort of) take this trip with you.
Oh, and last but not least, it's so nice to see how Inertia is doing. She now is like a rolemodel for Veronica. Who would have thought that a few years ago.
This is so helpful. I have new puppy and a Travel Trailer. I am loving this series that combines both my current passions.
Going over the ongoing struggle of Veronicas excessive barking is so helpful! Every other dog barking video I've seen is quick and over in one video and doesn't show how long it can take to improve.
I have a 1 1/2 yr old Yorkiepoo and it's taken the last year to very gradually/slowly decrease her excessive barking. I was kinda giving up before I saw you working with Veronica on this and how long it's taking.
I love this new series and seeing what your doing with the dogs. Seeing Veronica go to a settle was amazing. Both our dogs bark so bad when my husband comes home and won’t even stop when they see him. I get so frustrated. I never know when he’s coming home because we’re retired and he comes and goes so often. It’s so annoying when they bark so much. I can get it under control when I hear him coming home, but once they’ve started, it’s useless. They’re already too excited to really control them. The treats do work and they do stop barking, but they shouldn’t be barking at him anyways, especially when they know he lives here. And if someone comes to the door, I have to go outside to even hear what they want. Any ideas on where to start would be helpful. I’m going to start today again.
I love how there’s people that very rarely see moose and thinks it’s amazing
And then there’s me who’s lived in Alaska for almost 8 years who is still interested 🤩
Love this series . I have always taken training classes , and that has been good for me, but watching your videos shows me real experience in real time. Thank You, Be Safe
What an amazing journey. I am so jealous! Love seeing the dogs encountering new environments.
This is a great video, and lesson for me to train my dog! He loves to bark at the UPS truck, and just goes nuts. I try to let him bark a minute, then talk to him and tell him thank you and it's ok. I'm glad you are saying that's what you do! I love your training techniques.
I am really enjoying your training videos. Please let us continue with you on your journey.
I love this series. It’s exactly what we need for training our new pup. I love the dynamic and interaction of Bree and Zak.
I loved your series of training foster dogs and I thought nothing you created could top that, but I was wrong. I've always wanted to go cross country traveling with my dog so I am living vicariously through you guys! This is so much fun to watch.
Huge thumbs up for Bree (sp.). I love how she is now really featured in the training! Also truly loving this new trailer, life on the go; all the situations are relatable but much more entertaining lol! You don’t need my suggestion, you are dialled in and I’m sure I’m not just speaking for myself, but we are more engaged than ever!❤️🐶🐶
This series is so awesome !! We camp as well, and we recently brought a 16 week old Mini Goldendoodle into our family. My wife and I are so happy and so challenged with her puppyness.. Is that a word.. LOL. You're videos are awesome, we are trying to incorporate your tips and tricks in our training. We did just sign up for an in person training class as well. Stay safe out there on the road.
Real life training, Its great ! There are so many different situations when you are out , I did pick up new tips for not saying No at the wrong time. Have safe & fun travels, looking forward to the next class and the next stop.
Love this! We have watched Bree grow more with training, and Veronica is doing so well! 👍👍 Everyone is learning and get exposed to so much in this series. 💙
I have trained dogs before at a dog kennel I worked at. But you guys are keeping me sane as I'm training our 11 week old Border Collie/Aussie. I also have an older dog and a toddler in tow, in this adventure. You guys keep everything so positive and we all need more of that. 💙🐾
I live in Colorado. It really helps me to see how you train your dogs. Veronica is doing good. Your patience is always helpful.
I love your training videos...it has really helped me with my puppy. Her vet was impressed at good she was doing at 3 months. Still a lot more to do. Thank you.
Yes love watching your adventures and all the different places you find to train.
Absolutely, love this series! I found it educational and helpful. You both explain everything very well, eager to use those same tools on my puppy, especially the barking. Thank you bunches. I hope you enjoyed my home State of Colorado. I miss it, the beautiful majestic mountains and all.
Zac and Bree I’m loving your new series, it is such a great format. Showing how you go about positive training of such a young pup in constantly changing situations and environments is so inspiring. Your posts are so helpful and relatable as I continue my own personal training journey with my 6 month old Vizsla puppy. We both love settling down on the sofa (I’m in the UK) in the evening to watch and learn from you guys, and eagerly waiting for the next episode. Thanks
This is probably my favorite video of this series so far (which is saying a lot because I love this series!) I’m particularly enjoying the content surrounding Veronica’s barking, fetch skills, and relax/settle because those are things my pup and I are working on. I always watch your videos the day they come out but couldn’t this week and it turns out that I needed this particular video’s wisdom and knowledge today so it worked out perfectly! I love Bree’s role in this series as well. It’s so helpful to see how she trains Veronica and how you coach her. I’m really looking forward to seeing how you (continue to) train Veronica to have fewer barking outbursts as well as how to walk calmly on leash. Thanks for all you do! 💜
Zak and Bree, it’s really fun to see you traveling and training your dogs. I’ve learned so much from both of you in all of your series. When you asked what we’d like to see, I’m curious if y’all have explored Christina Hunger’s work with language and dogs, and the talking buttons. Would love to see a series where you introduce Inertia and Veronica to talking buttons, and how you might incorporate that into your style of training.
I actually love this series. I am new to your Chanel and have watched the Inertia and some of the other series (George,Biscuits, Champ ) in like two weeks. Traveling cross country and training is refreshing. Love seeing the training in various locations. It doesn’t get old. I somehow feel like I am right there we you guys. I also think your dogs appreciate different locations. Also Bree is great in this series.
Yet again, another incredible episode. This is such a cool series and will be SO good for Veronica in the long term. I definitely thought that traveling like this with a new puppy was going to be a nightmare, but the experiences she’s gaining on this adventure are going to make her such a well-rounded pup. You both are doing such a great job. Thank you for documenting this journey! Love to see Inertia enjoying herself, too 🥰
This was an awesome video! Loved all the life stories you told and you balanced it well with information! Also loved the length!
Yes i enjoy when you train your dog 🐶! Veronica has come a long ways! My Staffie is also very very sensitive to loud noise! He's one now, doing alot better, still can't take someone yelling or backfire of a car! I love scenery of different places in your travel, can't to see Alaska!!!!!
Totally loving this series. It is actual instances normal people have with there dogs...THANK YOU GUYS.
LOVE this series- Thank you!
Ive been learning so so much from this series more than what I’ve learned from trainers that we’ve hired. My golden Max is doing so well with this new style of training. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us.
I love this series! My puppy is about the same age as Veronica (my pups name is Moira and she is about 18 weeks old). It has been super helpful to watch you guys go through all the basics. It's been a long time since I've had to train a puppy so I really need all the advice!
All 4 of you are great. I love your videos. Thank you & safe travels.
Awesome series guys very helpful and love the progression
This series has been great. I have a little 6 yr old Maltese we've had for about 5 mos, rescued from a Korean Puppy Mill. It's been challenging to say the least, as Teddy has had no socialization and been through alot of trauma. It's almost like training a puppy, and I'm using your videos in conjunction with am amazing Behavioral Consultant to help his reactivity (especially to other dogs), barking and humping guests that visit us 🙂. He's doing great, but it's a slow process requiring lots of love and patience. Thanks for what you do❣❣Oh and Pupford treats are the best!!
This is so good! I'm so aware of dogs around wildlife now because I just had a deer in the middle of the city chase my dog. It was so scary!
i'm loving the real-time training!! loving this series, great work!
Love it i use these tips and tricks on my grmen seperd and my golden receiver
This series is the best thing ever! Cute dogs and stunning views! 😍 congrats to Bree for doing so good with Veronica ❤
Love your approach and your videos! I sent your link to my son - he hopes to get his own puppy soon!
OMG…you guys are so great! Thumbs up for Bree too. I love the fact that you said, wildlife training is harder as it is unexpected . I’ve been trying to get my dog to calm down when he sees a rabbit or squirrel run across his path. He goes into pulling, crying, barking. And sometimes the rabbit will just sit and tease him. What i learned from you here will help break the spell ….i hope. I love the new series, so much that i decided to check out your camper too. No we didn’t buy one; but we did buy a small motorhome. Now our boy gets to go on a camping adventure too. We can’t wait! I hope we see some deer, moose but no bears please.
I love the kindness in your videos.
Please could you show some more failures, when dog training is more hard then you like it to be. My giant pup is 8 months now and I’ve got so much to learn.
I love this series. I have watched all your videos in recent years and learned a lot. But I get impatient with positive reinforcement training… I know it works and is better in the long run but it takes more time or at least it feels like it does. So I really love the real time training, and I LOVE the inertia updates. It almost feels like a cooking Show that mixes the ingredients and then through the magic of editing out pops a finished cake. Inertia is so well trained and has matured so nicely, it’s nice to immediately see the end result you are working for- that was achieved with the same training methods.
Keep it up!
Also love more Bree in the videos. It feels more relatable to us pet owners since she is (very good! But) still learning how to train too.
Thanks for the tips on training stay in a new environment! Our beagle is very environmentally motivated and can struggle with commands in new environments. There's just so many new smells!
We will definitely be practicing this more.
We understand she's a scenthound, so that's what she's bred to do, but like you've mentioned, its for their safety.
Off leash moose lol I chuckle every time I think about it. Love your videos, thank you!
I'm thoroughly enjoying this series! Great idea, George family 👏
I’m loving this series while on the road. My new puppy is a lot like Veronica. Everything is helpful. Love having Brie on with you.
I love this series, is real life training that everyone deals with (no moose in Ohio though). I have had multiple figs and have learned so much from the two of you. Veronica is so funny, love seeing her grow.
Heart eyes for Ronnie! She’s trying so hard!!
Love your channel.. real life scenarios for practical dog training are so much more relatabale than the usual 'sit stay down' type approach in a nice safe room.
I wasn't sure about the travel series at first, but I am really liking it now. I am training my 15 week old puppy, so watching you handle Veronica's high energy behaviors like excessive barking and learning to stay with distractions are really relevant and helpful and encouraging! I am really impressed with Veronica's progress, and my pup is doing well too. I wanted to avoid using treats, but you have softened my attitude toward them. I also love the humour you find in your crazy adventure. Keep up the good work.
👍 for Bree and 👍 for the series as it stands! It's been fun to watch you in a variety of locations and situations!
I love this series. You both do an excellent job at presenting training in an entertaining and captivating way along with education and history. Please keep the series coming. This is by far the best reality RUclips ever. ❤
Hello beautiful people Zak and Bree...yes loving this series. Really enjoying seeing both of you together..both your dogs are gorgeous xxxx
Love watching you train Veronica. She's adorable 😍
This is a great series. It is valuable to watch you teach Bree how to be a dog trainer.
I’m in CO and this is the biggest fear I have. Bears, elk, & moose are in town and not scared of people
I’m in NC in the Smoky’s, not in town but same here!!
I love this series - and I've followed many. I'm so much more interested in seeing you invest in and train your own dogs than training a pound dog for adoption (although I loved Chop). The travel is great!
I'm really liking this series, even though Verionica is a tiny puppy, i can still relate her barking and behaviours in the RV and also out in new places to my 1 1/2 year old greyhound size dog. i had been told by trainers to hide her from the world she's scared of, and because of your series i'm now changing to take her out in our campervan (RV) and let her experience them now. i am using quite a few of the techniques you have taught and shown for my dog.. I'm also liking Bree's learning and teaching as i can see how a novice dog trainer can use the skills and hows she's putting them into real world practice .its a really great series. Veronica reminds me of a fox - my guess for her DNA make up - i recon she has sheltie and whippet in her..
Best dog/domestic animal training vlog on RUclips. If you can't tell, I love these training videos!
Love this series. Real world situations. Can you go over leashes, collars and harnesses? Seems you use different ones. The retractable leash isn't liked by many trainers, why you use one versus the long leash. I enjoy how you each go through different approaches with each dog and your own personalities. Thank you for all you do!
Thank you for explaining the drooling episode Veronica had. That happened twice when walking at our nearby wooded trails this past spring. People were giving us strange looks! Winnie started drooling like that out of the blue. It lasted about 15 minutes tops and she was fine afterwards, but it was unnerving. Interesting about the pheromones!
This series is so good. The real world training shows the concepts so much easier :)
This serise has been great so far! I love the usual honest training tips, but seeing new locations and experiences has made vlogs feel fresher (since I'm from the UK its neat seeing different parts of the states.) you're easily the most entertaining and likeable dog trainers on youtube.
Some advice I'd be curious about personally- We have a 4 month old corgi pup who's quite stubborn, he has a habit of sitting or laying down randomly in the middle of a walk (they're a suitable distance for his age). I've been encouraging him to move with treats but I think I've just reinforced the behaviour more. 🤦♀
Love this series, thanks
I’m definitely loving this real time training. It makes it so real, and makes you realize that even tiny wins are big steps in the right direction! You and Bree are so great together! Loving this series, for sure! Thank you for sharing these experiences with us. God bless and hugs to all of you!☺️❤️
PS…I love the fuzzy poof, which I’m assuming is a microphone?!☺️👍🏻
Great video! I love this format. Bree is the best!
Love your approach! 😊
I love everything about this series! It is a dream of my partner and I's to go cross country traveling with our 2 dogs but I just never thought it was attainable for us and thought that maybe the dogs would be too stressed, this series has helped so much x x
❤❤❤she is so good for her age much better than human kids😊
I’m loving this new adventure. You just drove by my house on the way to rocky mtn national park- so you missed me. You guys are doing great- as always- Bree is awesome 🤩
You guys are GREAT! Love this.
