Actually there is a way to sketch :D !! You sketch for example with green, then you draw your lineart with black, then you select the eraser and set the first color as green and the second as white - then with Rightclick (!!) you can erase only the green sketch and the Black lineart will stay! Yeeey :))

@@BlackDawnYaoiLover i wasn't talking about the eraser... well, i guess i kind of am? what id do is sketch in grey, ouline with the curve tool with black, make the eraser color the sketch gray, cut the image making sure its set in transparent, fill the grey to white, and paste it back in. voila, sketch gone and black remains. for outlines anyway. outlining parts of an image with different colors help erase things away easily too, like a face blue, hair red, and the red cut off from the blue i bucket tool away XD did this stuff for years. not much anymore!

It's more that the original Paint wasn't really made with modern screens in mind so it looks super small on larger computer screens that are common today.

I would argue this isn't the "original" MSpaint palette as the colors actually changed around windows Vista. I used MSPaint constantly on my old 98 machine and remember it having some actually very weird color choices. Nerdy nitpick aside, excellent work as always. lol
Yea it realy sucked back then, i even remember that if i made a custom color, it wouldnt save as that color, it would either make a weird checkerboard of 2 colors that make up the one i made, or stright up change it to one of the original color options. I find it a decent program now a days, until i recently got a tablet it was the only program I would use to do digital art because its just an easier prigram to draw with a mouse on.
@@hrpdrp97 You must have had a computer with limited colors (like 8 or 16 colors instead of 256). I remember using the default orange and it made a checkerboard of red and yellow.

I ask because the same checkerboarding thing could happen with a 256 color computer running a 65536 color ms paint. My experience was only with a computer that didn't have some of the regular palette colors that version of ms paint had.

This just shows that a true artist isn't limited by the tools available. Like a photographer isn't limited by their camera or a musician by their instrument. I always hate it when people say you must have a great instrument/camera/software etc. Does it make them better, absolutely! But I wish people recognize the talent of the person. Jazza might've been frustrated using MSpaint, but he still created amazing art with the limitations in place. This, to me, means he's a great artist.

I find it a little insulting when people use MS Paint and purposely make it look like its harder then riding an ice-cube across the sun. Like you said, there are a lot of things you can do with Paint and a lot of cool (relatively easy) art that can be made. Most of my art is exclusively made on MS Paint and it looks great.... It really is a good program, if you know what you're doing, so long as you build up the detail rather then relying on a few brushes to do it. That being said, this video was still a joy to watch, if you ignore the hate on MS Paint.

I would argue this isn't the "original" MSpaint palette as the colors actually changed around windows Vista. I used MSPaint constantly on my old 98 machine and remember it having some actually very weird color choices.

Yea it realy sucked back then, i even remember that if i made a custom color, it wouldnt save as that color, it would either make a weird checkerboard of 2 colors that make up the one i made, or stright up change it to one of the original color options. I find it a decent program now a days, until i recently got a tablet it was the only program I would use to do digital art because its just an easier prigram to draw with a mouse on.
@@hrpdrp97 You must have had a computer with limited colors (like 8 or 16 colors instead of 256). I remember using the default orange and it made a checkerboard of red and yellow.
@@Chosen1Creator it didnt do it with the basic colors given, and it happened on school computers as well, it was just a part of ms paint at one point.
@@hrpdrp97 That's interesting. So would the checkerboarding happen when it was previewing the color? I ask because the same checkerboarding thing could happen with a 256 color computer running a 65536 color ms paint. My experience was only with a computer that didn't have some of the regular palette colors that version of ms paint had.
@@Chosen1Creator nah, the picture would look fine when i was drawing it, and after i saved, but once i opened the file into mspain again, it would checkerboard, even if i changed the save file.
This just shows that a true artist isn't limited by the tools available. Like a photographer isn't limited by their camera or a musician by their instrument. I always hate it when people say you must have a great instrument/camera/software etc. Does it make them better, absolutely! But I wish people recognize the talent of the person. Jazza might've been frustrated using MSpaint, but he still created amazing art with the limitations in place. This, to me, means he's a great artist.

@@bridgetallard7207 you can but you have to make all the in betweens yourself so it really isnt just the "Ms Paint palette" since you have to create the in betweens but you could probably black cell shade or cross hatch and still not forfeit the challenge :>

No no. Jazza HAS drawn with MS Paint in the past. It’s an older video, and the final result is amazing. Go look at it!
I find it a little insulting when people use MS Paint and purposely make it look like its harder then riding an ice-cube across the sun. Like you said, there are a lot of things you can do with Paint and a lot of cool (relatively easy) art that can be made. Most of my art is exclusively made on MS Paint and it looks great....
It really is a good program, if you know what you're doing, so long as you build up the detail rather then relying on a few brushes to do it.
That being said, this video was still a joy to watch, if you ignore the hate on MS Paint.
K T Mal i hate to reply again, and I agree with what you said, but in an older video Jazza uses MS Paint and makes a very very wonderful artwork. The video was mostly him hating on the older version of it.
@@ktmal1681 sorry but just because you CAN make good art on it doesn't mean it's a good program. It's fundamentally not a good program; it's missing tons of basic things and hard to use and doesn't even begin to compare to other programs that you can even get for free or really cheap.
@@lilylocken2170 I wonder what you think about a pencil......that is an extremely basic tool and can be hard to use.....does that mean it's fair to compare a pencil to a full set of coloured and transitioning pencils? NO, because it is a tool that works for what it was meant for....and was not created to be better then anything, only to create a certain kind of art.
Too be clear, MS Paint is not a "better" program then (lets say) Photoshop, but it also wasn't created to be "better" it was created to allow someone to make a certain type of art. People need to stop comparing art tools to other tools that were never meant to be for a certain type of artist.
I would have a hard time using Photoshop (for example) because its a completely different program and was not designed to make the kind of art i do or my style of art....does that mean i have a right to say it's a bad program all together? no again. People need to use the art tools for what they were meant for and/ or what works for their art process, instead of comparing two completely different tools to each other for the sake of insulting everyone's favourite punching bag. Just because something doesn't have all the "toys" doesn't mean it's a bad tool!
