Now listen, you already stole my heart with your soap making, and now I find out you’re a chicken mamma too? Yay! Lol! So am I! We have silkies, silkie/polish cross, and a D’Uccle. I love them so much! My son wants a couple polish so bad so next Spring we will be adding a couple of those to our flock. Also, yes that polish of yours with the more stringy looking hair (I call it that too) is a rooster. They have the most beautiful “mane” when it grows out! Yours have gorgeous colors! We always end up with white silkies lol but they are so beautiful in all their floofy glory. As always, such a beautiful soap and I have been contemplating trying it out. I need to rewatch your video on dividers so thank you for linking that! And thank you for another great video ♥️ I love the ending addition!
Thank you so much! The Silkies are quite a novelty. Today I discovered another one crowing, so 2 out of the 3 are roosters. I think the other one is too. We were hoping to have at least one Silkie hen. 😬
Excellent video!! I'm glad you took some time to appreciate what you made and changed your mind about entering! So fun to see your chickens too. They are beautiful and entertaining! 😁
Thank you, Amy! I'm glad you liked it! We love our chickens! 🌿🐔💕 We confirmed we have another rooster today. It is so funny to hear an amateur cock-a-doodle-doo.🫣🐓🤣 I thought he was a rooster. He's a bit mean. He bit my foot the other day. 😬
I love your videos. I follow you, I Dream in Soap, and Royalty Soaps. You all bring something different to the table. I love the technical detail and background info you give into your soap making. And the non-soap video was great too!
I personally liked the end those babies are so cute and if you like doing it then do it girl ya gotta be happy doin what your doin and if someone wants to cut out early then they can no big deal!
I LOVE THIS! It gives me that blue and white china plate look? I think it's called blue willow or something along those lines. I love this look so much! The colors, yes, they are simple but they work! This is like a total "go-to". I love this. You did a WONDERFUL job on these. I totally understand though, you work so hard on something and spend so much time on something and you are just not happy how it turns out. Well, even though you do not know me, these are gorgeous. Thank you for another great video, hope to see more new stuff soon! Much love from the PNW! Edit: Had to add that I love your chickens and roosters! They are soo cute!
Thanks so much! It is enjoyable for the most part. I just cleaned out the part of the coop. You wouldn't be jealous of that. LOL. It's not fun, but it's done.🌼🐔💕
You continue to be my greatest inspiration. I will NEVER EVER use commercial soap again. Some of my neighbors and coworkers "demand" that I continue to provide them with my homemade soap. I always enjoy your videos. Thank you Mrs. T😊
It’s Cath (on my husbands account). I feel I’m your greatest fan! I wait eagerly for every video- I’ve watched them all! I have learnt so much from you, and your mistakes! The way you aim for excellence and accept your best is how I approach my soap making too. You deserve every credit and prize you win. Thank you so much for your videos, thank you. I often read all the comments as well as I learn a lot from them too. If I could hit like every time I rewatch a video, I would. 😊
Personally I think some other people overdid theirs. I like very much what you did, definitely my style, simple, timeless, elegant. Never apologise for having class 😂
I love what you did! The contrast and the parabolic shape doesn't seem simple to me but rather elegant. I love all your videos. They are informative and beautiful! You can definitely see the graphic designer in you and I appreciate that so much (and I'm a color geek so I love how you discuss color in your designs)!
26:11 I really enjoyed both the soaping and the chickens. Thanks for adding them. As far as not liking how the soap turned out, beveling and cleaning bars up really helps. Glad you entered the challenge.
Good to hear! 🌿 Thanks, Melanie! 💖 I have been wanting to try this again with the improvements I mentioned. I am still trying to come up with a good way to keep the batter from oozing under the dividers. (The silicone gasket material that I mentioned in the video was not squishy enough.) 🤔 I have lots of ideas too...for holiday designs.🌲
Another gorgeous soap from you. I'm always impressed with your precision and color choices. You have beautiful chickens. I follow several RUclipsrs who are obsessed with their chickens which. tells me they must be pretty fun to watch.
Love your simplistic design, it's elegant and stylish, and shows exactly what was required for the challenge. Also love the wee glimpse into your life. We mostly only know each other as soap makers, so it's always interesting to see what else goes on in our lives 🥰 I have a few chickens also, 3 black Araucanas that lay beautiful bluey green eggs, and one Dorking, plus my 2 dogs and 2 cats to keep me out of trouble 😁Life is never dull!
Thank you, Brigid! ❤️ Araucana eggs are so pretty. We got Americanas this time, but we have had Arucanas in the past. My daughter tells me that fertilized Americana eggs are viable and Araucana eggs are not. We know from personal experience. Our Araucana hen got droody and we let her. The eggs hatched but didn't live long. I'm so glad you enjoyed the chickens! ❤️🐔🌿
I think your soap is beautiful and very artistic... and not just this batch, but every batch you do is stunning. I love that you give so much information and even point out mistakes and what you'd do differently. I also love the chicken video at then end. I also have chickens and love them. Thanks for sharing. I hope to see more soap videos in the future!
I love your videos and find the hints and tips to informative and helpful. You have a very generous nature in sharing your tips. The simple elegance of that soap is gorgeous and really shows off the technique. Love the chickens…it’s always nice to have a glimpse into the life behind a soapmaker 💕
Thank you! I liked a few of them after I cleaned them up. I still want to try it again. There are so many possibilities. It would be a pretty holiday soap with the right colors. I may do those alterations to the dividers tomorrow. 😊💕💫
I will probally never make soap yet here am i in love with your methodology. You're designs are stunning and ur approach to the method of construction is admirable.
I love the simplicity of this soap. I agree with you about simple is not always easy. Thank you so much for explaining everything in details. I also love your chickens! Thank you for sharing ❤️
Wow how beautiful, somewhat complex, but gee, so pretty, I wouldn’t be so perfect , this is handmade, not a machine, and that is the beauty of it. So congratulations.
I really appreciate all the info you give during your videos. I really wanted to do that soap but haven't gotten around to it yet. But it's going to be one i try for sure! I'm going to have to watch your other divider videos again beforehand. And thank you for sharing your chickens too! Omgoodness! They are so cute! I showed my hubby and he said they look like 80s rocker band chickens! Hahaha I have to agree with him! Blue earring and all! LOL
I'm glad you like this one. It was surprising that more people didn't try this variation for the Challenge. Best of luck to you, Melissa, and thanks for the compliment on the chickens! They are quite entertaining, for sure... Little rockstars! 😎🎵🐔
I like the simplicity of your soap and appreciate your extra info (fat bloom, etc.) and seeing your chickens. You have some nice looking birds and should consider entering them in your local fair/poultry show.
This was so pretty and you shared a lot of information, I was confused on all the measurements I would need to look at more of you videos to understand. Stay encouraged
I agree with your concept of using white and a dominant color. I thought it came out great. I watch every one of your videos. Your descriptions are so informative and more instructive than most of the other soap making videos. Liked the chickens. I go the our county fair each year to see the variety of chickens our local farmers raise. Thanks for a great video. Jerry
Gorgeous soap as always! You're far too hard on yourself with that. Love seeing your birds! We had a Polish hen, black with white and called her Phyllis Diller. I know, how original LOL
You are always too hard on yourself. I really like the way these look and the colors that you used worked really well. I call it a winner in my book. The chickens look like they had a bad hair day. Lol! I can imagine that the chickens are amusing to watch. You must live out in the country somewhere.
Thanks Teri … this challenge looked like so much fun.. unfortunately I have been unable to immerse my self in soap for a while due to my sins I’ll health … but I loved your soap
Despite the so-called issues, this turned out spectacular! We only get to see the overhead view while you make soap. What is the "Director's" view from the other side of the room? Thanks, Scott
Firstly, they’re beautiful soaps. Secondly, I love learning about other people’s lives! Those chickens are so unique. ❤ I like the floofy butts. 😂 I live in the city, so I can’t have livestock. I’d love some goats and chickens. I love cows too, but they’re a lot of work. Not that chickens and goats aren’t… just a different kind of difficult. 😂
Yeah, cows would be a whole different ballgame! Thanks so much. Oh, I wish you could experience this. I just was out there, and another one of the Silkies (floofy butt chicken) was crowing. That means at least 2 out of the 3 Silkies are roosters. I suspect the other Silkie is a rooster as well. Darn, we wanted at least 1 female.
Hi there! What you do is amazing and really inspirational for our own creations! I am truly wanting to know if you make your soaps in your home, specifically kitchen. I am wondering if the vapors that are generated by the NaOH + water reaction could be harmful for neighbors or if they dissipate quickly. Any answer would be very helpful!
Wondering how this technique might work with the Ghost Swirl type set up. I also love simple soaps that don't have as much going on, just subtle beauty.
Hallo TERRI! I want to ask you, how many persent of lard should l take in order to prolong fluid state of the soap? I'm going to use 43:57 ratio as you said in your video and 35% lye concetration. Is it enaugh or what should i do? Thank you for your videos, they're helpfull for me a lot.
I've created my dividers. Check out this video to help you get started on making your own. Remember, precise cutting is key. Best of luck!💙 ruclips.net/video/Yvu3triqrgw/видео.html
Very beautiful soap
Your soaps are just gorgeous! Your chickens were so much fun to watch and they are so beautiful...thank you!
Thanks, Gwendolyn! 💕Glad to hear!🌿
These bars are beautiful
Thank you for another great video! I'm newer to soap making and have learned a ton from your videos! Love the chickens too! Could watch them all day.
It's beautiful! Personally, for me, I don't care for bumping heaped tops nor busy designs.
This is perfect!
Thank you! 😊

Beautiful soap and very interesting chickens! I love the fluffy one. I have never seen a chicken like that. Adorable!
Thank you so much! The Silkies are quite a novelty. Today I discovered another one crowing, so 2 out of the 3 are roosters. I think the other one is too. We were hoping to have at least one Silkie hen. 😬
Beautiful soap. I love blue and white too. The swirls are beautiful.
Thanks, Kathy!✨
Excellent video!! I'm glad you took some time to appreciate what you made and changed your mind about entering! So fun to see your chickens too. They are beautiful and entertaining! 😁
Thank you, Amy! I'm glad you liked it! We love our chickens! 🌿🐔💕 We confirmed we have another rooster today. It is so funny to hear an amateur cock-a-doodle-doo.🫣🐓🤣 I thought he was a rooster. He's a bit mean. He bit my foot the other day. 😬
Thank you for the tips! And yes to seeing more on your outside soap life. Beautiful girls & roosters!
Good to hear! Thanks for the feedback!💕
I am obsessed with your blue and white palette and the beautiful technique. so simple yet so difficult. Thank you for sharing with us.
Thank you for sharing this video. Love the soap design, it's truly beautiful- colors, design.... chickens are cute. Never seen the first set before.
I love your videos. I follow you, I Dream in Soap, and Royalty Soaps. You all bring something different to the table. I love the technical detail and background info you give into your soap making. And the non-soap video was great too!

Thank you so much for this! I am working on a video now. I should have it out soon! 💙💕
Love your chickens (and your soaps)! I'm blessed with chickens, too. Thanks for a glimpse into your life.
Thanks for taking the time to say so! 💕🌼❤️
Very pretty soap, thank you for the tips. Love your chickens. You are right, very relaxing, I'm gelouse
I'm sorry, I mean jealous
Thanks so much! It is enjoyable for the most part. I just cleaned out the part of the coop. You wouldn't be jealous of that. LOL. It's not fun, but it's done.🌼🐔💕
I love the soap!! Dividers always drag so much soap out of the batch.
And I loved seeing your adorable chooks. So sweet.❤
You continue to be my greatest inspiration. I will NEVER EVER use commercial soap again. Some of my neighbors and coworkers "demand" that I continue to provide them with my homemade soap. I always enjoy your videos. Thank you Mrs. T😊
I love that! Thanks for letting me know!!!
It is so simple yet so beautiful. I think you did an excellent job.
I find this extremely beautiful! Great job! I wish I could do anything like it!
I have chickens too. They're awesome. I enjoyed your tutorial and meeting your flock 😊
I LOVE THE CHICKENS!!!! Such beauties! :) As always beautiful soap, and a great video! Thank you :)
It is excellent ... beautiful ❤❤❤

Love love love the chicken video
A silkie, crossed with a turken (naked neck) makes a variety they call a Show Girl!
That’s so cool! I’ve never heard of that breed before.
26:11 I really enjoyed both the soaping and the chickens. Thanks for adding them. As far as not liking how the soap turned out, beveling and cleaning bars up really helps. Glad you entered the challenge.
Love the soap and loved the chickens!! 😊
Enjoyed seeing your chickens.
I agree… sometimes less is best! Looking forward to seeing your next attempt.
Good to hear! 🌿 Thanks, Melanie! 💖 I have been wanting to try this again with the improvements I mentioned. Love this soap! I raise New Hampshire Reds here in Texas. Such loving birds and great layers. Exciting to know that you are also a chicken ‘momma!’
Despite the so-called issues, this turned out spectacular! We only get to see the overhead view while you make soap. What is the "Director's" view from the other side of the room?
Thanks,
Scott
Thank you, Scott. I shoot in front of a bay window, so that would cause shadows. I may experiment with b-roll footage at some point. Great idea! 🩵

Wow ! That’s a great soap . 👏👏. I liked the divider you used . I will be great full if you can send me the link . Thank you .

You are amazing! Do you have a book to learn from?
Stunning soap! Your chick's are all so cute. The small brown fluffy ones look like teddy bears haha ❤
Thank you! 😊 They are our favorites, too. 💕
Me encantan tus jabones me gustaria que compartieras algunas de tus fórmulas ❤
Where did you get your dividers. I’m making some put of corigated plastic. It works, but hard to cut.
I've created my dividers. Check out this video to help you get started on making your own. Remember, precise cutting is key. Best of luck!💙

I didn't understand the purpose of the Lard or the Clay...
The Soap is absolutely Beautiful ❣️
do you have a recommendation for where to buy s palette knife for the mica
Stunning ! You are being too hard on yourself.
Какие у Вас красивые курицы !
Thanks so much!
Can you do a video on how to make the dividers?
You can use the techniques I shared in this video and adapt them to create dividers for any mold.✨
ruclips.net/video/Yvu3triqrgw/видео.html
can we see any of these soaps in action, i.e. washing hands?
How many eggs don you get a day?
