The writing and directing could do some work but it shows a lot of promise and what it does good, does so in greatness
The colors, fight scenes, bending, visuals are all so amazing
Hmm everyone is saying this but I find the writing very balance. Aang is also goofy sometimes in the series.
The writing is great imo, the changes they did made sense; sometimes even better like the background of Zuko’s crew. Game of thrones made even more changes from the book than avatar did and it was still great aside from the last season.

And I've read that they will make changes to original storyline to accommodate the aging of all the actors for possible season 2 and 3.
Idk how it'll turn out but hopefully it won't disappoint.
It can be written into the script, its beyond anyone's control that he will age. And they can't film all three episodes that's fast without knowing if it will be successful

I think the boy getting older actually works better the story. The whole love story between Aang and Katara will feel less weird with the actors being older.

Wow, I am a big fan of the original animated series, and I loved the Netflix adaptation. I've watched it already few times, and it's amazing! I fell in love with this beautiful series. Fantastic live-action adaptation! I can't wait for the next season! Love the action, adventure, drama, the emotional twist, it brought me to tears, the fantasy, and comedy-all in one! Amazing cinematography, amazing special effects, those animals, spirit animals just amazing, and their powers. The visuals look great and the backgrounds look fantastic! I love their costumes, which are very detailed, elaborate, and very impressive! It definitely paid homage to the original. They're all amazing! Gordon is a brilliant, fantastic actor for his young age, and he is so cute; he has a million-dollar smile too. Dallas is a versatile actor, he's amazing actor. Kiawentiio and Ian are amazing too. Paul, and Daniel are very good too. I love the casting, I love the characters, they all did a great job. Congratulations! This is the best live-action adaptation! ♥️

I enjoyed the show and all the actors. The one thing I will say is that the writers said they were aiming for a game of thrones audience and some of these actors do seem a bit Disney like. For example, the girl that played katara was awesome but if u were aiming for a GOT audience, u should have probably put a baddy there instead of a cute lil sweet heart. And the same for the playing zoku. He's really small lol, they should have had someone more Brandon Lee like.
