I'm coming back to this video again. This is like the ONLY video out here that actually shows you how to system link(lan) without internet.

This man is a blessing for since I want to play the campaign together but through separate screens/ps4s, since the split screen looks like crap, plus I don't want to pay double for online.
FYI you don't have to pay double for online you can have multiple ps4s on one online account

I tried this with a regular lab cable and wouldn't work. Then I tried with a crossover cable and it worked beautifully! Awesome video!!
Jessy Dial AKA J-Dizzel 13 COC TAG QQ8UYOU22 Alternatively, you can use a couple of straight cables with a cheap switch. You would then be able to connect more than two consoles.
You could also use a wifi router and connect multiple consoles. Check my channel, there is another video on how to do that.
What is a crossover cable?
@@floundrrpoundrr2456 I think he meant crosslink cable. Thats the same as LAN cable but the end of the cable have differently attached the colour combination.
I haven't used a crossover cable since not having a router and the only way to get my PS2 online to play MGS3 online was to connect a crossover cable to my PC.

Thanks a million for this, got MW2019 up and running with it after the immense downloads. Split screen works too and the glitch to get 20 bots per match too (just a shame they can't use streaks). Game nights are about to get a whole lot better. Seriously thanks again for the straight to the point helpful vid.

just gave this a go. I'm a dumb American and wish that this video was step by step from start to finish. I became frustrated the first go around but I found the MAC address for both PS4s and used them as Proxy Servers. I really had no idea what to do to connect both consoles together but this video game me just enough info to make it happen. THANK YOU VERY MUCH! BestBuy told me I had to special order crossover cables - pffff.

ihab itawi correct. Shouldn't need ps plus. Just make sure that both games are up to date or at least updated to the same versions or u won't be able to connect to each other's game.

NeilJeffHardy13 Yeah only with certain games. Most of the shooters should have it. I think FIFA might have it as well.
I noticed that you had a Plus membership active when doing this. Do you have to have PSN plus subscription enabled on your account even when offline to make this work? As ARK: Survival Evolved says it requires Plus. So curious if that was a factor. I ask, as my daughter an I really want to play ARK offline via this method.

When you connect a LAN cable the PS4 does NOT disconnect from the internet. You must change the connection method to LAN. You did not show that function
wordupmag I didn't show it because it wasn't connected to the internet to begin with. It wasn't a tutorial on how to disconnect ur PS4 from the internet. It was a tutorial on how to LAN two PS4's together to play offline. But thanks for pointing out the obvious.
I wanted to try this with dark souls 3 and it didn't seem to work does it have anything to do with the fact that there is no lan option in the title screen, please respond thank you.
Yeah. The game has to have the LAN option. Not all games do. Check the back of the game case it will tell u there if it supports local network play.

I used a normal lan cable to connect 2 ps4 and made sure tge settings were same as yours but jt didn't work!

Ali Vettori so both consoles and games must be on the same version. Otherwise it won't work.

What’s the problem with connecting to the same router. That’s the easiest way to do it and u won’t need any cables?

All u need is the lan cable which connects to the back of each ps4 in the lan slot and 2 copies of the same game that has a local play option. Then just follow the video directions

You connect the PS4's together to each other. There is an easier way though. Check my channel tomorrow I will upload the other version using wifi.

Marcus Cicuto Follow the video exactly. There is only one setting on each play station that will be different and that is the IP address. If u still can't connect then make sure both versions of the game are up to date. U won't be able to play if both are different versions. If it still doesn't work then try another LAN cable. If u are using a wifi router then use the easy set up method on the Playstation.

Yes you can if u use a network switch with enough ports. Or u can use a Wi-Fi router. If u check my channel I have a video on how to connect multiple PS4’s to router for lan. Actually easier than this tutorial. Just make sure all consoles and games are on the same update version or it won’t work. 👍🏻

Kaveeren Naidu Yeah it should. I think all the Call of Duty's have LAN/Local play. Just make sure all the copies on each PS are the same version (Latest updates) or it won't work.
This works for PS3, PS4, and PS5! How do I connect more than 2 systems together? I know I need an Ethernet switch but do I just change the last number on the IP address for each system and that's it?

j capisawesome Easiest way would be to use a Wifi router. Connect all ps4's to that router either via LAN cable or wifi. I suggest wifi, much easier. No internet needed. They just need to be on the same network. 👍🏻
So, if I want 4 v 4 plus a master control PS4, I can use a router with 9 or more ports and use wifi cords? Not HDMI

I've tried to do this with a CAT6 cable but it's not working for us. Did both PS4s step by step like in the video, not sure what we're missing :(
Check both consoles and games are on the same update version. If u still struggle, go check my channel there is another video using a router.

Make sure both consoles and games are up to date. They have to be on the same update version to work. If it still doesn't work, try a different cable. If u have a router u can do it over wifi as well.

Justin Lee I honestly don't know to be honest. Would have to try and let us know. Only ever played it with 4 guys, 2 per screen.

After being totally assured that PS3 has motion sensing controllers, I bought a clean used one with GT5, for under $200. I have yet to discover the mean to enact it. I looked hi and low for the app that makes it happen with GT. I want to race the game. More tracks and cars.

Ive tried this for infinite warfare. I set one IP to 1.1.1.1 and the other to 1.1.1.2 then the rest I just did ones. and it said success but the host name didn't show up on the zombies join list. my ps4 is up to date but my friend's system never made any updates ever and i'm thinking that's the problem.

Yeah. Obviously u all have to have a copy of the game. Then u connect all the ps4's to a router. The router doesn't have to have an Internet connection they just all have to be connected to the same router. U can do this via lab cable or simply connect then via wifi. On each ps4's internet connection setup u assign a different ip address like 192.168.0.10 then .11 on the next ps4 then .12 etc. You assign all the ps4's to your routers default gateway address which u will find underneath the router. If u can't find it then google ur routers default gateway address by searching the make and model of ur router. 255.255.255.0 will be the subnet mask. Once u are all connected then u select lan/local game on COD and use one of the ps4's to start a game. Everybody selects local game and u should find the host game there. If not, hit refresh and it should come up. Please note that when u finish setting up ur internet connection settings on the ps4 it will come up as failed but it will work.

Rony Naggar the most I've connected so far was 4 ps4's to a router and it worked. The router had no internet access it was simply being used as a network point. Connected them wirelessly as well.

I manually added the IP address / mask / gateway / dns, just as u did.. Then tried connecting the Lan cable and started multiplayer game, it doesn't show up in the 2nd console under "find Lan game" ... then I tried a cross-over patch cable and resulted the same.On side note, when I tried unplugging the crossover cable, it pops up the message that Lan cable is disconnected ... kinda weird.Any thoughts ?

Yup.. I also tried plugging the cable first, then restarted both consoles and tried but failed.
Btw, the patch updates on both consoles are different... does it matter if they different patches?
