I attended a timeshare seminar and knew what I was in for. I took in a speaker having edited the best bits of Dave taking about timeshares in the past and played it. I was asked to leave and waited for the police to arrive so over 45 minutes was played with people around me hearing haha

Update on the first caller: her name is Danielle and she is safe along with her child as Dave said, from what I found online she’s living with family and the ex is in jail and currently being charged with several counts of domestic violence, but that’s all I found

The first call made me terrified and to see Dave handle it the way he did made me full speed go ahead with his program and I haven't looked back. He genuinely wants the BEST for people.

Dave Ramsey is nothing bus a salesmen for people that already have issues with managing money. Clowns people for not doing things that are common sense to him. Typical Republican only worrying about filling his own pockets what has Ramsey specifically done for the minority communities or people of color so that those people can have a life not in poverty? Not every has boot straps to put on like Ramsey says. Not everyone is fortunate to have rich parents or hedge funds that fall in there laps.

Yeah brought tears to my eyes and this is my second time hearing it...
I remember my abusive ex slamming me into walls, spitting in my face, smashing my phones, and standing in front of my car when I tried to escape. That happened many times. I finally got away. Bless Dave for handling that so assertively and compassionately.
That first call … no words. So terrifying. Rachel’s facial expressions and body language exemplifies her innate compassion.

I work in police (not in USA) and I am very thankful for how Dave handled the first call. Hope it all worked out well for her and the baby and they are safe and happy today.
Dave is first a Dad and second a financial advisor.
The sad part is she thinks selling her house is the answer. He will find you when you move. The mindset she is in she would tell him the new address anyway.
Trespassing him should’ve been the first step.
It’s not her fault though, she was in a bad situation and couldn’t see how bad it was.
I hope she is doing better now and can finally learn how to be happy and have healthy relationships again.
I want to also say that with him standing there essentially holding her kid hostage, her bravery to call someone that could realize the gravity of the situation and have the compassion to help her with her TRUE needs.

This is my first video on this channel. Initial impression; Dave personified masculinity with the first caller who was smart enough to know she needed help - because he was a decisive balance between gentle and strong. The job got done for the better - true concern and empathy. A man like that deserves my further attention. Subbed.
I can't rest until I get an update on the first caller. As a former battered woman I'm VERY unsettled and pray she's okay now.

I’ve listened to the first one as it aired live. Very tense call. Debt can wait, realtor can wait. Life and safety always come first.
First call was so scary. I had a bf who would block me from escaping. Thank God I didn't have children involved. Men like that don't deserve to be on this earth.
I’ve not sat and listened to Dave for a few months, but I’ll never forget that first call. Dave, Rachel, and John were absolutely brilliant. Year after year Dave and team Ramsey prove how important they are. Love you guys. 🇬🇧🤝🇺🇸

Praise God she called you, Dave. That was unquestioningly God's protective hand on that girl and her precious baby. You handled it with such wisdom and a firmness and protectiveness that she desperately needed. It's always so encouraging to see in action God's protective hand in a life. What a miracle!

@@Dreambig62 I agree with you that women are coddled by the law, but this doesn't mean they aren't in danger. Just because men can be abused doesn't mean women being abused is less of an issue. They are both the same level of threat, i.e., victims need to get out, it's just that people hear abuse and think of someone beating their partner, when manipulation is the real threat. By the time people want to get out, they've been manipulated to the point where they feel they can't.
You don't get it bruh. With abusive couples it's possible he controls her phone and such. Calling a financial advisor seems pretty innocent, and yet got her help. This happens all the time with domestic violence victims... Calling pizza parlors acting all weird and if whoever answered is bright enough he or she might realise its an emergency call from a person who cannot call emergency services and wants you to do it for her. As I said, happens all the time
The Ramsey show has changed my life. I know its me doing it, but listening everyday, all the personalities, have brought me vision and goals. Gazelle intense!!

My mother had the same idea as the old fool with the money. The difference is she was spending her money on my brother while living with us. I felt cold all over when she said that when she was out of money she would just have us take care of her. I told her, it was one of the most unloving thing I had ever heard her say. I told her it wouldn't happen, if she ran out of money because she gave it all to him she could live with him. I know my brother, the golden child, would not let her live with them. She didn't, but she wanted to because, he was the baby and he was a boy. I didn't count because I was a girl.
Way to go Dave for saving this woman’s life and her baby 🙏

Dave, that was beyond brilliant. You heard what she was saying without one tear dropped at that time. You brushed away the financial aspect in order to help her get a boyfriend-ectomy.
No matter what I think about finances and your teachings (I like them all) that all goes out the window when you step in and help a battered woman in severe need. That shows a man’s true colors. As my Grandpa would have said “Now THAT’S a real man, he put family, women and children before himself.”

The higher the price of a home, the higher the property taxes will be which causes the whole subdivision (homes) property taxes go up for all those home owners! It is insane.

My brother lives in Evansville Indiana. He has a pretty good saving count, his daughter and son-in-law needed to borrow some money from it. So my brother went to the bank to get it out it was a pretty high amount. The bank ask him what he was gonna use the money for. My brother told him it was none of their business. They would not give him his own money unless he had a reason.

My friend is SO cotrolled..like the caller regarding: food/ friends ANYTHING but she gets so little social security at 72 years old that she cannot leave. She walks a tight rope to survive...no physical violence that I know of.She lives hours away so I never see her.
