- How to farm Junk:
1. On Day 2, when you go to Central Park and get to the zoo, when you go right past the fountain plaza, take the lower right-side exit past the bench. DO NOT take the exit under the awning. Then continue through the dungeon instead of heading back toward the zoo area.
2. On Day 3, get the Club 2 from the gun shop in Soho.
3. On Day 4 (preferably) or any time after, go to the Central Park zoo and take the upper right exit past the fountain plaza (to the right of the door that leads to the terrarium). Use the Club 2 to steal from the two crows here, but do NOT kill the monkey. Just run and repeat indefinitely. You'll get 300 Junk in 4-5 hours or so!

There's imo an even faster way to farm junk. During day 3 when Eve attacks the precinct, go downstairs to where the armory and kennel room are and you'll get into a fight with two birds and a wolfman. Same principle, steal junk from the birds with Club 2 and escape, only this time you don't need to backtrack to the precinct everytime your inventory gets full cause Wayne is one screen away from where the fight takes place.
John Boona hmm good point! I haven’t seen this elsewhere. The only thing is you can’t do this endgame or easily unless you’re overpowered. But damn that’s a good way too
Hey man this sounds legit and I'm trying it but I'm having a hard time escaping from the battle and these things are hitting pretty hard for a level 15 aya. I also didn't see any way of getting to the door without killing everything at least once which drops the encounter rate.
Can you give some specifics around your method. Did you have some uber beefed armor? Was your club 2 beefed up? Were you on an EX game?
The video goes into very explicit instructions on how to avoid that fight completely the first time you're in Central Park. You should not be grinding this junk until way later in the game when the monkeys are a joke.
That probably is the best way but obviously you're not going to be able to do it until an ex game with decent armor. Removing the five minute run to Wayne makes it the best way.

I appreciate this information. I recently began running through this game again and streaming my play. I really enjoy playing this game again (first time in many years). I only paused doing streaming while grinding on day 5, looking for stuff I left behind, and farming junk. After that I'll resume streaming. I'll try to keep this trick in mind for future playthroughs.
I never even knew I could run from battles lol I played this as a kid, never finished it but with this trick I will now. Respect

I like to wait until I start Day 5 before farming junk. My inventory is set up that I have 20 empty slots available, netting me 15 trips back and forth between the precinct and central park. Play a little music on the site so I don't get bored, and all good. I pick the P90 machine gun so I have it with me when I start the sewers so I can easily put the burst effect on the weapon to override the random effect, then find a x3 from another weapon to transfer.
Scott I have played through this game multiple times, each time bulking up a different weapon via junk farming. Is it possible to get EVERY possible "special" weapon Wayne has to offer, (in one play-through) meaning u have to farm over 1,500 pieces of junk (if not 2,100 or 2,400?)
Also, my original game save from 1998, my super modified weapon of choice was the "regular" rifle Wayne had to offer (i forget the actual name of it, SAR maybe?? i since changed it to "AzKikr" lol) This rifle was beasted out so much, even hits on the special end boss hit for 999 damage (non critical)....I think my attack was over 800, range was 300-something, bullets 300-something....
Thx for the vids tho, I enjoyed watching all the way through, as this game is one of my all-time favorites....even tho Aya moves slower than molasses.... wonder how long the game would take if u purposely WALKED everywhere....never ran lmao

Mathematically base stats are better on a rifle (AK-47) but the best weapon would in fact be the Machine Gun.
DPS is higher on the machine gun and you dont have a delay in fire rate. This prevents getting hit as often.
Simply boost your speed for more turns!
dam bro that sucks u had to start all the way over on that part but it is worth it to grind all the junk faster soooo worth it

I just found this video after searching a question about this game on google, so don't know how far along this playthrough is and what not, but I am just playing this for the 1st time even though playing RE and SH since the 90's, will I ever need the club as a weapon? Just considering how abundant ammo is just within the first 30 mins of the game

Why is the AK47 considered so awesome? In terms of base stats, its hardly the best gun in the game. Even the MAG that you can just ask Wayne to make has higher base stats. Can anyone make a case for the AK47 being a good gun?
P90 gets it done just fine, it's speed vs slots, if you want max slots you want a handgun, I think the speed is worth 3 slots though.

i did it i am on my 5th replay and my p90 is at 363 atk 135 range 251 bullets and armor is at 256 defence and pe energy 245 and critical 105 i wana find spots to farm att ups and super tools and stuff
