Hey all! First of all, thank you for making this video one of my most viewed on the channel! So glad it was able to reach so many fellow fans of this game! I wanted to let you know that there is a follow-up video to this one on the channel where I go more in-depth into the rate of fire mechanic with weapons and how much it affects your damage output. Give it a watch after you've seen this video to get an even better idea of how to make your ultimate weapon! The follow-up is linked in the end card of this video or you can find that link in the video description. Thanks again for watching, and keep being awesome!
I played Parasite Eve for the first time in 2020 and fell in love. What an amazing game. I wish the sequels were more like the original. This brought back some memories!
Happy to hear you enjoyed it! I agree, I definitely would have preferred the rest of the series to stay closer to the original’s gameplay. I still hold onto some hope that we haven’t seen the last of the series.
@@RPGtourguide there wont be any other Parasite Eve games because the author of the novel the game is based on is not on good terms with square enix because they messed up PE2 and the third game so much and will not allow them to use his intellectual property anymore . Only thing Square enix is allowed to do is re-release/remaster existing Parasite Eve titles as they do have the rights for those games.
I would take a remaster/remake to put a spotlight back on the series. I remember a few years back that people got excited over Square reacquiring the trademark for the title (I think it was in Europe, but not positive). Sadly like I said, that was years back and nothing announced. But it’s still nice to just find fellow fans of the game online.

Thank you so much for this comment! Makes my day. :) I’ve definitely got more planned, but if there’s a particular game or game series you’d like to see covered, let me know.
Nice pistol and weapon attachment but i prefer the Usp-tiu over the DE50AE with same set up attachments like yours, i gave up the 9 offense of DE50 over 30 range and some bullet cap of USP-tiu so that i dont need the bonus stat to put on it and just focus on Offense
As someone who beat this game a few months ago, I did not realize the complexity of the tuning system and upgrading your equipment. I didn’t even know you could upgrade their stats with BP. Listening to this video though, the game’s systems really allow you to build yourself however you want. I do wish the game could’ve clued you in into how versatile it can be but I suppose the charm of older games is figuring out stuff for yourself.
Right, a little more direction on what you could do would have been nice, but that gives me reasons to make videos like this. :P And, as you've done yourself, you can beat the game without having to go too in-depth with the tuning mechanics. Hope that you found the video helpful all the same!
I hadn’t planned on it, but I could add it to my list of videos to make. Were you meaning a basic walkthrough of how it works? Going into detail about all the possible floor layouts may be a bit much for a video. 😅 But I could talk about the treasures on each 10 floors and the bosses.
This guide was super useful when I first picked the game up last week. I'm finishing up my EX mode playthrough in the Chrystler building now, but managing my equipment/inventory and moving effects without wasting my tools is what I wish I had a proper guide for. Luckily I'm on the last set of floors and have a totally decked out CR Armor 2, and a P90 that wipes the screen in under a second. Sure would've been nice to know about(or get) the toolkit and super toolkit earlier though. lol
I’m glad you found it useful, at least in part! Congratulations on getting through the Chrysler Building! :) I should have added a section on getting the toolkits in here too. Sorry if that caused too much trouble! I’ve thought about doing a follow up video, doing a weapon/armor walkthrough with more detailed instructions about when I believe the best times to swap out equipment and best use of tools. I wasn’t sure if it’d be too much or not. I know it’s a little late for your playthrough, but do you think that’d be a worthwhile video?
Great guide and channel! I love little tidbits of info about all the weapons/upgrades. Playing PE2 on my phone rn and I liked the direction 3 tried to go. Here's hoping for PE4 with a similar system to FF7 remake blend of new and old
Thank you for the kind words! I would love to see Parasite Eve make a return on modern consoles, be it a remake or a sequel. I hear rumors every so often about the possibility, but I try not to get my hopes too high.
I always ground out a pistol before endgame, I think the one out of the museum or the optional warehouse was a good starting point before new game. I always add the shotgun effect (was that burst?) and added range and ammo capacity as needed but mostly into attack power. Always served me well. You can use a super tool to move everything over you like anyways. It's silly to have a shotgun pistol but it's very effective!
Good lord.. Playing this for the first time and 5 hours in. I did not know about powering up weapons with bonus points. I should have quite a bit saved up. Awesome guide!
Great video, there is so much useful information that so hard to find about this masterpiece game, Pls make a video about PE2, i will be playing that after im done with this one
Many thanks! I'm glad you found it helpful! PE2 is definitely a different beast. I can work on a video discussing its various mechanics as a starter guide, if you think that would be useful.
I've been so scared to try to play this game again after my first playthrough with no info or help and got stuck lol but I think I should try to play it again.
Haha, I can understand that! If you do give it another go, I hope this video is helpful. And if you have any questions, feel free to ask them here and I’ll do my best to answer.

I don't think a lot of people know this, but having tranq on your gun if it's your only gun can potentially soft lock you in a battle with the likes of an enemy such as the alligator, confused on why it won't die despite pumping it full of lead? Simply stop shooting it, as long as the tranq is active, it can't die let it wear off. I once spent an hour on an ex game, after spending all my bullets to realize this.
Seems so weird to me that there's armour that puts negative effects on your character, like the attack or atb charge down. At least they gave you a way to remove it 👍
It is a little weird. My guess is that they wanted to simulate certain armor as being bulkier, so that would slow you down. Although I don’t know how armor would make your gun do less damage, haha. Regardless, it’s easy to deal with. 👍 Thanks for watching, man! Much appreciated!

Hey MOG. The dinosaurs in the museum are one of the enemy types that are strong against heat/fire damage. So just having that add-on severely cuts your damage. That’s why you’re seeing that low damage. I’d recommend taking it off with a super tool if you’re able.

Hey Assassin! The M1911A1 is your best handgun for the end of Day 1. It is in the Carnegie Hall sewers just shortly before you fight the boss in the sewers. There is an area with two sets of stairs going upward. Next to the left staircase is the chest that has the pistol inside. All are great options. I’ll recommend the De50A7. It is the one that is most ready to go. With the other two, it’s best to set them up with a lower rate of fire and overwriting the Attack All on the machine gun. The USP has higher starting range than the others, but that high of range doesn’t factor into most battles. So yeah, I say go with the De50A7. Let me know if you have any other questions.
Just started playing this game 3 days ago and currently on day 4 and FINALLY grinded enough junk to get a weapon from Wayne just wanted to make sure I got something I wouldn't regret later down the road :P another question I have is what carries over to EX mode? ( New Game Plus )
@@BiohazardRay Awesome job on the junk! The EX mode will carry over most items that are in the storage with Wayne (weapons, armor, tools, medicine, and such). Also any keys (except Chrysler Building keys) and story items are lost, even if they’re in storage. And Aya’s level and skills are reset.
