I had no idea that you could change the cut pressure until I watched your video. I was getting so frustrated trying to make kiss cut stickers (and wasting sticker paper!!!) but, after changing the pressure to 70, they now come out perfect every time. Thanks ever so much for this tutorial 😊
Two Qs. I use washi tape material setting for kiss cut on other machines. Works perfectly. Is it there on the Xtra, and Im just not finding it? Also, do you have any tips for getting the backing removal started when you diecut them?
Find the Washi tape settings for the other machines and create that setting manually for the Joy Xtra. I’ll have to check on the other question and get back to you.
I just wonder, does joy xtra can now scan glossy materials? I use cricut explore and been struggling with the laminated sheet glossy 😫 Please confirm if this is good with any glossy material without using hacks in the registration marks then I will buy immediately 😅 Thank you so much!
I haven't had any issues when using clear laminate sheets, but have had intermittent issues when using holographic laminate sheets sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Most say you should cut the laminate down to fit over the designs but not covering the registration marks.
What pressure would you suggest for kiss cut stickers without the holographic layer (only using the sticker paper)? I learned a lot from your video tutorial, thank you!

I just did a test and had the pressure setting at 85 and it worked - I got kiss cut stickers on plain matte finish sticker paper with no laminate. 🙂
Is this the same procedure for magnets?
Pretty much but you need more pressure and will want to do die cut vs kiss cut for magnets.
WE NEED CRUISE DOOR MAGNETS WILL PAY CASH $$$
Can I use this with Joy?
To make stickers with sticker paper, you need to be able to perform print then cut. That options isn't available for the Joy. 😦

Did you know you can change the speed of a video? It's under settings on the video. It's called play back speed.
