You do a great job of explaining and demonstrating how to use design space to accomplish the tasks. I’ve been training folks on computers for close to 40 years and I’m impressed :)

I want to be sure I understand. You are setting your cricut on vinyl stickers, but because there are 2 offset layers behind the first offset, it will cut twice. When it makes that 2nd cut, it should cut through the 2nd sticker layer. Correct? I’m going to try it, because I have about 60 Easter stickers to put in Easter eggs and I wasn’t sure how I was going to cut them out of the 2nd layer. This way the kids won’t struggle with pealing them off either! Love it! Thanks!!!!❤
My pleasure! :)
Hi! Great video and something weird happened to me, the first time I did this, I put a laminated sheet over the top of the sticker paper and it did the correct cut, didn't cut all the way through so it could peel off. When I did a 2nd print and cut, I didn't laminate it and just put the sticker paper through and it cut all the way through on the sticker paper setting. Any suggestions?
Great video- just trying to understand how the program knows to kiss the first offset but cut through the second. thanks in advance
It is determined by the material settings you choose :)
Thanks Abbi! This looks like so much fun! Are these stickers waterproof or do you need to add another layer to make them waterproof? Thanks again!
These are waterproof yes, if you get the vinyl sticker paper. Here is one of my favorite brands: amzn.to/426a7HK
I want to add a laminate sheet on top of my sticker paper. Do I have to change any of your instructions (which are “GREAT” by the way) or add any other steps? Tyia
Great tutorial!!
Which paper do you recommend for waterproof stickers.
You can find my recommendations in the blog post :)
Abbi, your explanation of adding the extra offset is appreciated. I do have a question. I have tried adding laminate over the vinyl to make it more water 'proof', and I'm having difficulty finding the correct setting to get a kiss cut then the die cut. I end up with a die cut for both the offset and the sticker. Do you have any suggestions? I've been using the Cricut printable vinyl and Avery self-adhesive laminate sheets. Thanks!
Hi Maryann! I haven't personally tried adding laminate sheets over my stickers. But I can tell you that certain vinyl sticker brands come already waterproof so you don't have to add the laminate. I like this one here! amzn.to/3KRtEFs I have used it several times on my kids water bottles which get washed and the sticker still look great many washes later (just be sure to wash by hand). :)
What's interesting is I did the laminate over my sticker paper, and it cut great, with the peel part not cut all the way through. When I didn't laminate the sticker paper, it cut all the way through.
Thanks@@bkpk2007
How do we select a lighter cut closer to the image so it doesn't cut all the way through the paper like the second cut that is further away from the image? We want to peel the sticker border away from the image with the paper actually still being there. We have the image set to offset & selected different paper weights, sticker, vinyl etc. Thank you!
This tutorial shows how to create a sticker board that can be peeled back with the liner still in place, which sounds like what you want? But maybe I am misunderstanding. :)
Im having this same issue. Because the pressure is the same so its cutting through the outline and offset. I watched your video several times (its by far the best I've seen) but because the pressure cuts the same im just ending up with 2 fully cut through lines. Any clarification would be amazing!
Hi! Can you ink blend on the printable vinyl?
I haven't tried but I don't see why not!
Please help! I’ve followed your directions exactly start to finish BUT when I do it it just moves my cut out to the outside of the second offset. It doesn’t cut around the first offset!
Sounds like you might have missed a step. You may want to hide that one in the layers panel and try a fresh design :)
This may be a silly question......But what is the difference between printable vinyl vs printable sticker paper VS removeable vinyl that comes on a roll...
in terms or stickers
Printable vinyl - you can print on with a regular ink jet and then cut, printable sticker paper is not waterproof. Removable vinyl - you're not able to print on.
Mine did not kiss cut. Please help
Help!! Not working for me. Both, flatten sticker with offset and easy peel offset cuts all the way through. I have watched videos on several easy peel stickers and they all do the same. Is it possibly the sticker paper i'm using. I'm using paper sticker paper. I subcribed to design space to be able to use the create stickers feature and stickers cut easy peel with no problem. I have been trying the feature for 3 mnths at half price. The original pricing of 9.99 starts next month. I want to do my own easy peel stickers. Do i need to change to vinyl sticker paper for it to work?
Please reach out to me with a screenshot of the settings you are using as well as the brand of sticker paper so I can take a closer look for you :) hello@abbikirstencollections.com
@@abbikirstencollections thank you for your reply. I kept reading the reviews and kept reviewing your video and realized the key remark was "material used". I finally got it right. I changed the sticker
paper backing types. It worked!! Thank you!!
I guess i'm not as experienced as everyone else, but wondering why you don't create just one offset with setting .2? i'm not understanding why all these steps are necessary. Thanks for the video.
You need 1 offset to stay with the sticker then the other offset to peel away. Hope that helps!
@@jesfredericks6049 I understand that, however, the tutorial shows making 3 offsets, deleting the first one, and making a copy of the second....why we are doing a 0.1 offset, then doing another 0.1 offset of the first offset, then deleting the first 0.1 offset and then making a copy of the second....Why not just do one 0.2 offset and then copying that? That is what i'm not understanding and thinking I am missing something....
What printer did u have plz
I use a Canon Pixma. They are a little hard to find, but here is a list of all my favorite printers that work well with Cricut: www.abbikirstencollections.com/best-printer-for-cricut/
