I've had mine for a couple of weeks and I can't stop driving it! Most enjoyable experience I've ever had, especially for such a limited, scale rig. LOVE IT!
Oh cool! It is quite a shame that we dont have them here....or anything good. I want an early 90's Toyota Tercel/Corsa with 4WD but these are impossible to find now.
ohh and blacken out that light at the rear bumper not to be seen from the wheel well e.g. @ 19:20 not that you need to be reminded of that, knowing how dedicated you are to detail lol.
Mine broke literally 3 seconds in. Transmission failure. The replacement was shipped with a stripped steering servo. Currently waiting on a third replacement…

You should take a look at the latest fms VW (or rather KdF/Kraft durch Freude) Kübelwagen! It's also 1:12 scale and is a German WWII Offroader. It's even more scale with a detailed motor, functioning lights, wooden floor panels like the original had, fabric cushion seats etc. It's even more magnificent.
I'm patiently waiting for FedEx to bring me my copy, and I only kinda wish I hadn't watched this so I'd have more to discover when I got mine. Not to get too personal, but what park is that, and can I move there? It looks like perfect spot for crawling.
I love mine a ton. It may not be the most capable of my trail rigs but by far it's the most fun so far. Not sure what turn the stock motor was but I swapped that out with an 88t motor made by rgt if I remember rite. I do wish fms would've put a slightly bigger motor in this. While the stock motor works well I feel it's a bit to small for this vehicle being it does got some weight to it.
@@CallumBalodis-yx9zoRUclips won't let me post a link but my friend used a Holmes hobbies torquemaster mini 180 in the 87 turn version. It took a little modification to the wiring plug and a little bit of cutting but nothing major. It's well worth the upgrade and is a plus as the motors are only $16 directly from Holmes.
OMG that is a good idea! I am working on some repairs to mine. The whole front trans is literally crumbling. Tamiya's PC ABS plastic choice was poor. I will redo the whole thing in sls nylon.
I know you have the K10 and I was wondering how those wheel would fit the arches with a bit of work.I got mine a month ago and I also think this is one of the best rc that I got , It fits perfectly with the tamiya trucks in 1:14.I m planning of buying a second one, add a 5 mm lift between the frame and the body and fit bigger wheels plush a winch from WPLs
Thanks for clarifying on the red box switches. Does it make a big difference in the speed? My Co cern is why it does not have a more decent turn radio. And would love to find a bigger battery to give it a bit more pump. Just a bit. Because the original real thing is also a tiny motor, light and nimble
I do not know if it will run a 3S lipo. If so, then it will be easy to get more speed. The speed is only really noticed in 2nd gear. All the other settings are there when you are slowly crawling and really not something i use often....and believe me, I do use the truck a lot!
Just picked one of these up this week for $99 bucks with a gift card. Seems like mine's got a bit of excessive "slack" in the drivetrain. Is yours the same way?
Hi. Would you have a fix for the top brake light to only functional as a brake light? Also to have turn signals not to be so sensitive to the amount of transmitter turn? Thanks. Great reviews!
Easily an hour but usually i am very slowly running it like you see here. With an 8 year old, I suspect it will get 20-30 in second gear, full throttle! Haha!
@@AMPROEngineering thanks for the reply! I was thinking of getting a second battery and swapping it if the juice is gone while playing. But do you need tools to do this?
@@AMPROEngineering True, selectable would be good too. It just irks me the amount of kits these days that market as 'scale' that come with cheap spools in their final drives. I get that almost every one and their dog wants to 'rock crawl' now, but this is a stock Jimny for Pete's sake lol

same here, I am blown away how much I love driving them.
it's so good
just got the hilux 1/18th and this for sure is the next purchase omg im going to use that storage inside it for my vape🤣😂
No fog lights here in Japan, this is true scale , my family has real one 👊🏻👍🏻

I swear, you and Francis from RCReview test RC’s at the exact same park!
LOL we are at the same place lol.
Thanks for this vid. super satisfying watching it drive. And I'm not even in the RC car community, or even a car enthusiast
Well thank you! I am glad you enjoyed it.
Excellent video. Very constructive comments. My Jimny is arriving tomorrow and I already have a 1/12 scale driver waiting for it.
Awesome! I really do love this thing and take it when I am on trips quite often. It is fun to drive and travels perfectly!
I just peddled by the real thing, same crazy bright color ,amazing 👏 totally alike
Yeah it is impressive what FMS did with this!
Look so realistic beautiful model
It really is. They did a great job on this.
The attention to detail in that ''lil'guy'' had me go 'wow' many times. Really impressed, thank you for the show. 👍

Sure thing! I love this!
I know, I dont like that bleed at all.
careful with the hood I broke a hinge changing the battery, I love this model. it is the most scale RC hands down
OH no! Yeah these need a lot of care.
Spares are available from Aliexpress and maybe Banggood!

This is odd to hear. Mine has been all over the world on my business trips and easily has had 100+ batteries. Quite a shame.
FMS has been coming out with some seriously detailed RCs. Just imagine what they could do with a 1/10!
That's what im saying! They would kill it!

It is an awesome car. I love this thing. So this is Venice Beach in Half Moon Bay. I love it there.

It’s also moulded in color, not painted.
