Hey man, I just wanted to say thank you for showing the full installation process. I watched another video and after disassembling everything they said "Great now do everything in reverse!" So it would be like if I had a video on how to change the carburetor in a mower and then after someone took out the carburetor I said "Great now do everything in reverse and throw it back in the mower!" Lol Also, thanks for reminding us which screws are which.
Glad it gave you confidence. Most important thing to make sure is that the battery is compatible with your MacBook! The install itself only takes about 5 mins.
@@Andytizer Yup, I ordered the correct battery and installed it already. Went very quickly. I laid all the screws as I took them out on a piece of adhesive paper so I wouldn't lose them and knew exactly where they belonged when the time came to put them back in. :))
For the perspective my 2015 Mac battery is on 1353 cycles as of today, Full Charge Capacity (mAh): 4585 and Charge Remaining (mAh): 4577, fully charged. Condition, Replace Soon showed up today.
Thank you. Has given me the confidence to replay the battery myself.
Thanks for the video. Need to change mine and this provides me with assurance that I can complete it. Thanks

Thanks very much for this video which was very helpful and gave me the courage to order a battery and install it myself! ;)

Very good video, Well Done.
Are you still happy with the quality of the Sloda battery
What is the battery life of the mac post change the battery?
Hi. How is it going after a time? Do you still recommend to buy Sloda brand? Thanks.
Yay thank you! 😊
My MBA Early 2015 has 991 a cycle count and is 5561 mAh. But I'm going to replace it anyway next week.
My new batteries came with clear plastic over each of the four cells. Should I peel these off?
Yes you should peel them off.
@@Andytizer It was really difficult to get off, so I left it.
@@candsmisaki3199 It is just clear plastic, not sure if it'll affect thermal performance but should be fine.
even the ifixit guide told if it sticks and difficult to peel off just leave them, so i left them too
Hi, Andrew. Are the supplied screwdrivers adequate for the job? - many thanks.
Yes never had any issues, done more than 50 of these types of batteries now.
@@Andytizer Cheers, Andrew (and many thanks for your prompt reply). Much appreciated.
What is the normal MBA 2015 battery life in 2020?
I changed mine but now it was an X on the battery
Are you sure the connector is plugged in correctly? Or you might have a faulty battery
