  • This walk in Glen Shiel takes in a few tops north of the Cluanie Inn. The circular route takes in Aonach Meadhoin and Ciste Dhubh before returning over Am Bathach. The day started well but a strong west wind made for a challenging ascent. We managed clear tops but the rain half way through the walk persisted until we were back at the car.
A great day visiting areas not normally a target for us so early in the year but the lack of snow and longer days make it possible.

Hi James, This is a super walk but when it rains in Glen Shiel its like getting the garden hose turned on you. 😂Cheers Charlie.

Magic Charlie. Love Glen Shiel. Still to do Ciste Dubh. I did the 5 sisters and the brothers ridge for charity one year. Its in one of my earlier vids. Parked at the Cluanie inn and the holiday home caretaker from Inverinate gladly ran me down to the start at Loch Dubh. This hill couldn't come quick enough as I ran out of water on a very hot day. The walk down to the Cluanie inn seem to have taken an age. The 3 pints of orange and lemonade didn't touch the sides. Great stuff guys. Keep them coming. PS. Have they finished the renovation works at the Cluanie?
